We spent Thanksgiving weekend at Haddon Hollow and it couldn't have been a better experience! The owners are very responsive, helpful and truthful. Everything was as described both on their websites and the paper documents they sent up prior to our arrival. Both the house and "coach home" over the garage were clean, well maintained and not "dated". We had 20 people on Friday & Saturday and had enough table space for everyone to enjoy a traditional Thankgiving feast for 20! For outdoor activites, we enjoyed hiking during the day and roasting marshmellows & listening to our friend play acoustic guitar over a roaring fire. We were able to gather enough firewood during our hikes to enjoy the fire for hours. We also spent a 1/2 day in the Dells, took-in "Wizard Quest" and lunch at Moosejaw Pizza & dells Brewing Co. For indoor activites, we played board games, card games, read books and made a full traditional Thanksgiving feast. The home smelled delicious from morning to night and the owners have equipted the kitchen to handle everything one needs to prepare a feast. If in the Wisconsin Dells area again, we will definitely consider renting this home again and have already recommended it to some friends and family. To Dale & Carol, can we rent it again if we spend Thanksgiving 2012 in Wisconsin Dells?
Owner response:Thanks for the great review. We would love to have you back next year. Dale & Carol

Celebrating our 50th Anniversary, my husband and I wanted to take our family to a place where we could enjoy them, yet close enough to a place that would be fun. Haddon's Hallow was the answer. Our grandson's enjoyed catching frogs, but no fish. Our family's enjoyed Noah's Ark and the Duck's on the Wisconsin River and shopping in the Dells. We also enjoyed bike riding and hiking in and around the Hallow. Setting around the fire pit at night seeing the stars and hearing the wildlife will be great memories. Haddon's Hallow was all that we had hoped it would be.

The owner was very prompt in answering all the questions we had in coordinating the rental. Haddon Hollow is very well kept and tucked away in a beatiful forested area. Everyone in our group enjoyed the stay. We hope to be back in years to come.
Owner response:Thanks for the review Paul. Glad you had a great time and look forward to having you back. Dale

My family and I try our best to take a yearly vacation to the Dells and coming from a big family, Haddon Hollow is the only place near the Dells to fit all 20 of us comfortably. The cleanliness of the home and property is very impressive. With so many of us, the secludedness of the cabin is a major plus. The pictures on this website of the outdoors really do not show you exactly how much space there really is - it's pretty breathtaking when you arrive! You are also only 10 minutes away from the Dells attractions. I really could not have asked for a better rental and I can't wait to go back again next year....or maybe even again this year!
Owner response:Thanks for the review Nikki. We would love to have you back any time. Dale

We went up with a group of 18 for a bachelor party and what can I say. The accomodations were fantastic. The cabin was very clean and had everything you needed. The pictures don't do justice on how nice of a cabin/coachhouse and property it is. We hope to use it again! Also, it's about a 5 dollar cab ride to downtown.

We had a dozen guys sleeping with their own beds, had a cool game room and good distance to the dells. Not to far for cab fares and not to close for seclusion. Great spot!

I recently took a group of 20 to this cabin for a bachelor party for a friend of mine. I could not have been happier with haddon hallow, what a perfect place. The cabin is in a beautiful secluded area but also only a 5 minute drive from downtown Wisconsin Dells. We had a great time and will definitely return in the future.

This past May we needed a home away from home for a family get-together. With some of us in Chicago and some in Minneapolis, The Dells were the perfect midpoint. I'm thrilled we found Haddon Hollow. It'si no more than 5 minutes outside of the main drag of the Dells, but is on an extremely secluded lot in a private wooded hollow. Not only were we able to experience all the Dells has to offer, but we were able to stay outside by the fire well past dark and tell stories & sing songs over beers to our heart's content. Having separate buildings was great too, as it created separate sleeping quarters for the kids and early-to-bed grown-ups. The main building was so cozy and the pond so perfectly sized for a hockey rink, I would bet that it would make a great winter getaway as well.

We had a group of 10 that need to get away from the city (Chicago/Madison) and Haddon Hollow ended up being the perfect place. Close enough to the Dells for picking up essentials or a night out, yet far enough where we could enjoy the seclusion and privacy. The main house had all the amenities we needed. Kitchen was fully stocked with all the utensils, plates, cups, etc. Plenty of beds so the guys in the group appreciated not doubling up or sleeping on the floor. We also definitely made use of the charcoal grill and the nice firepit outside. Communication with the owner was also a pleasure. Very prompt and thorough. Highly recommend it!

We assembled 4 families together with room for everyone. The peaceful seclusion was terrific. There is enough space for everyone to gather both inside and out. The home is well kept. Proximity to the hustle and bustle of the dells is great for dining, waterparks etc. yet in just a few minutes you are back in your own tranquil meadow, pond and all.

Twelve of us, ranging in age from 6 to 65 spent the weekend after Christmas at 'Haddon Hollow' and we loved it. The owner was very prompt and accommodating in making arrangements for out stay. When we arrived we found the property to be exceptionally clean and well maintained. The kitchen was very well equipped, and cooking for so many of us was no problem. The kids and the dogs loved romping in the snow and they could be as loud as they wanted with no neighbors near by. We all agreed that a weekend was too short and we are planning a longer visit.

Our extended family enjoyed a great time at Haddon Hollow. The property was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the kitchen was very well equipped for preparing and cooking our holiday meal. We liked the private, secluded space, where the kids could hike, run around, and enjoy the outdoors.

We rented this home last year and we couldn't have asked for a better experience! Very cozy, warm and secluded with amazing views and numerous games to keep everyone busy. We stayed during a 2 foot snow storm during the weekend and the owner was very responsive about getting snow-plows to the property. Do not hesitate on renting this home for your family or friends!
