Just had a fantastic winter break in this home. The home is just as described and has everything you need for a great stay, including an abundance of fantastic birds and even a Morning Dove hatching her chicks in the front garden. Located in a lovely, well maintained, gated community on the golf course. Pictures are accurate but the reality is better. Oh so comfortable, peaceful and homely. Place was immaculate and well maintained. The owner, was extremely helpful and kind. She went the extra mile. I'd not hesitate to recommend this home to a friend or relative. It meets my acid test in that we'd certainly go back again. Ideally located for National Park, Sabino Canyon and we would recommend a trip down Bear Canyon and Old Tucson Studios.

This beautiful property, located northeast of town, on the Arizona National Golf Course, is a perfect place to relax yet is close to many of Tucson's main attractions. The house is tastefully decorated, with a well equipped kitchen, with amble counter space. The bath rooms were stocked with plenty of towels and extra linens. The patio was a gem. You could sit out, in the early morning or late afternoon and watch a variety of wildlife including cactus wrens, rabbits and Gamble quails as they scurried along the beautifully tended desert landscape. The mountain view, from the patio, was the mainstay, though, always present yet changing according to the light. We enjoyed the short walk to the club house, for an occasional breakfast, and although we did not use the pool, it was also just a short walk from the house. We found many places were easily accessible especially Sabino Canyon, Mt Lemmon, downtown Tucson, Saguaro Park East, and Davis-Monthan Air force Base. Of all the amenities while staying in this lovely home, in this lovely town, we found the owner, Jane,to be the real jewel. She treated us like family, concerned for our comfort and conscientious about every detail of our stay AND she introduced us to the Hacienda del Sol Sunday brunch, which we will be forever grateful!
Owner response:Thank you so much Steve and Nadine for such a nice review...and so well written! I think you described the environment and location perfectly for others. I am so glad you enjoyed yourselves in my home and you are both welcome back anytime!

This is one of the best-equipped and furnished small properties we've ever stayed in and we felt right at home from the word go. The location is quiet and up-market and there are lovely views from the rear, with a wealth of bird life to watch. It's well-placed for local attractions, yet once you're back through the gates of the community you feel you've left the outside world behind.

This property, in a lovely gated community, faces the golf course with a fascinating little 'buffer zone' of desert shrub. At night you can look out the master bedroom window and see the twinkling lights of Tucson far below you. It is a joy to sit on the patio and watch all the quail running about. I saw a tiny little long-eared bunny, and had a stare-down with a hawk who perched not ten feet away from me one afternoon. This was the best-equipped rental property we have ever used. The kitchen has everything you need; the towels are fluffy. The washer and dryer work well. The grill on the patio is really nice. There were even two coolers there to use for our picnic lunches! A beach bag is available to store the huge beach towels for use at the pool. I also enjoyed going down to the hot tub after dinner and sitting there blissfully alone under a ceiling of stars and a full moon. This property is on the northeast side of town, and it is an hour drive to attractions on the west side, but is also very close to Sabino canyon and Mt. Lemmon. In March, it was 75 degrees in Tucson, but when we took the drive to the top of Mt. Lemmon we had to get out of the way for the snowplows! It's about 20 minutes to downtown. Make sure you visit Xavier del Bac; it has been beautifully restored and is jaw-droppingly gorgeous inside. In a tiny room off to the side of the sanctuary you can watch a video of how it was painstakingly brought back to glory. A fairly easy hike is the one in Saguaro East National Park: the Douglas Springs Trail. Take Speedway east until it ends at the Tanque Verde Ranch sign; the trailhead is to the right. In the springtime, you can hike back to 'Bridal Veil Falls', on this trail; a lovely waterfall (4.8 miles round trip) perfect for a lunch stop before returning to your car. We were very sad when our month was up and we had to leave! I patted each of the 'Three Amigos' statues out front on the head in farewell with tears in my eyes.

We had 2 wonderful weeks in Tucson. The house was immaculate, with all facilities, the location extremely quiet, and the views stunning. It was a good base for visiting the surrounding areas in Tucson, as well as further afield to Tombstone and Phoenix. we would recommend this location to anyone. We particularly like the Tohona Chul Gardens, (and restaurant!) we even walked to the top of Sabino Canyon, but got the tram back! D and A

This home is much more beautiful than the internet pics, with high ceilings and a very private patio. The location is excellent for day trips to Tubac, Mt. Lemmon and Biosphere II, as well as convenient to live theatre, shopping and so many great resaurants. Walking in the gated neighbouhood or a sort drive to Sabino Canyon for a hike was very enjoyable. Returning to the gated community of Arizona National Golf Course, after an outing, was like entering a refuge, so peaceful and pretty. The grounds are immaculate. We loved being there!

Beautiful and relaxing are the best ways to describe the gated community where this house is located. It is in a pristine neighborhood surrounded by an amazing golf course. The clubhouse where we had breakfast one day and dinner another is located a 5 minute walk from the house. It is a beautiful facility overlooking the course. Breakfast was great - fresh and filling. The fish fry dinner was good too, just keep in mind it is a more casual meal. The gym and pool are also a 5 minute walk located across the street from the clubhouse. The pool is very clean and well kept as is the gym. The house is very well decorated and it is obvious the owner put a lot of effort in to make sure guests are comfortable and have everything they need. From a large flat screen tv with DVD player and a selection of movies, to a stereo with cd's to choose from, to a very well stocked kitchen with all the utensils/appliances you need to give you the comfort of home. There were many brochures on the area and recommendations from the owner about restaurants and things to do. We had a great time here and have no reservations about recommending it to our family and friends. Thanks Jane!

We enjoyed our stay at this roomy, quiet, newly and tastefully decorated and well equipped house. Have breakfast on the sunny patio with mountain views, cactus wrens, rabbits, quails, coyotes and the occasional bobcat. Just a short walk to golf and community ammenities. Owners supply local maps and lots of restaurant and attraction info.

Nestled in the foothills of the Catalina Mts. on The Arizona Ntl. Golf Course, this Mission style vacation property is a gem with the most charming private patio. It's also only a five minute walk to the pool and the golf club which offers both breakfast and lunch plus a fish fry on Friday evenings. Again, a fabulous terrace on which to dine taking in the view of a small lake and the fairways...I never wanted to leave. This holiday house at Sabino Springs exceeded our expections threefold. We cannot wait to return.
