This is our third stay at Mike's Cabin. The days moved slowly as we waited for our vacation to begin. This cabin is like a home away from home. It is a great location for exploring NC and beyond. We went to Highlands and Nantahala to hunt for-- and sometimes hike to--waterfalls. We somehow always end up in Tennessee and take the scenic way back--wait, they're all scenic! We also did our share of gem mining at Rose Creek mine near Franklin, and visited a gem show nearby. My wife couldn't resist the urge to play Bingo in Cherokee one evening, and I even played too (and won $100)! We also took a ride on the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad out of Bryson City. The new deck on the cabin is really nice and we took in the mountain views on our rest days. The cabin is well maintained and has everything you need whether you decide to stay there all week or make it your mountain headquarters. Well, except for internet, but we did have a phone signal, so we weren't totally out of touch. Thanks again for a wonderful stay! We didn't see all the waterfalls so we hope to return! John & Sandy

What an absolute delight in staying at your home in the Smokey Mountains. The views are picture perfect & we took many pictures! We have been coming down from Kokomo, IN and meeting our friends from Gulf Shores, AL for about 25 years now and "Mystic Peak" has the best view of any place we've stayed - also the "cabin" is great - we really enjoyed our selves. We even booked next year in advance. Thanks again.

Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your beautiful mountain home. The accomodations were very nice. We saw snow on the ground on the Smokey Mountain Parkway. A lot ot the leaves had turned and were falling off in some of the areas but we saw beautiful leaves back at Mystic Peak. We had a terrific stay - and the colors surrounding Mystic Peak were beautiful!!. Thank you again for making us feel so welcomed.

The views are breathtaking and the location is perfect. Your home is very comfortable. The weather has been beautiful. It is so nice to sit on the deck and eat an early morning breakfast...and watch the sunsets while eating dinner in the evenings. We had a nice hike around the mountain and have enjoyed the many little towns that are close by.

Very "homey", comfortable and clean. Views to die for. Convenient location for us. Hope to stay again. Cafe Rel' in Franklin is a don't miss restaurant, food is fabulous. Bogard's in Sylva is also very good.

What a beautiful Cabin!. We got to see the first snow this week with around 3-4"!! My husband had never seen snow, so this was very special. The trees and land scaping with the snow was just Breathtaking. The view is just unbelievable! Thanks for making our week here so comfortable and homey. We had everthing we needed and more. We stayed here a full & delightful month of July 1-31, 2008. Our time at "Mystic Peak" was one of our most relaxing vacations ever. Your home is most comfortable and met our needs and expectations perfectly. Coming here was a 50th wedding anniversary gift to each other. As a part of our "50th celebration", we renewed our wedding vows on the back deck. We held the ceremony during the beautiful evening sunset which was an awesome pleasure. The full blooming butterfly bushes, the gorgeous hydrongias and the black eyed susans plus the purple cone flowers have added to the beauty - and the gorgeous hemlocks help creat a special view from the front of the cabin. Of course the view from the deck is a "sight to behold". The fog in the valleys each morning to the colors of evening all add to the panarama. It is obvious how much we enjoyed our "get away" here at Mystic Peak. Thanks for making it possible. We plan to return!!

This is one of the best places we have spent in the Smoky Mountains. We were completely comfortable here. The views are outstanding. Our only regret is that we were not able to stay longer. We would come back in a heartbeat. Thanks for allowing us to stay.

Wonderful place to spend a few days relaxing! You have a beautiful comfortable home with all the essentials needed. Wish we could have actually spent more time enjoying the house and views.
