Kick back and relax on the over-sized deck with ocean breezes and views of Buzzards Bay, including Cutty Hunk Island and Fort Rodman. You will not be bothered by the passing of traffic, as you are located on the end of Silver shell Beach Drive.
Walk the stony shoreline, adjacent 160 acres of protected conservation land. Take a dip or go fishing just steps down the street. Bring your bikes to enjoy the Fort Phoenix Bike Path or pedal to nearby West Island. Take in the rural scenic views, harbors and beaches.
Wake up to the sunrise, with coffee on the back-deck. Explore the local attractions – New Bedford Museums, historical sites, quaint shops and local cuisine during the day and finish off with a family BBQ back at the deck. Enjoy the evening sunsets from the deck off the master bedroom. After dark, toast marshmallows at the fire pit while gazing at the star-filled sky.
Newly renovated and refurbished, enjoy the large, comfortable living room with gas fireplace, Internet Access and Cable TV, two pull-out couches; a bright and efficient galley kitchen and separate dining room. For your convenience, a washer and dryer are located in the over-sized bathroom. The master bedroom has a new queen-sized bed; the additional two redecorated bedrooms accommodate a new full-sized bed and two new singles. Linens are provided.

Why the Owner Chose Fairhaven
I chose this location as my home, but life happens... I still love it and enjoy coming back even if it is just to clean and work in the yard. You just can't find a piece of heaven like this any where!
The Unique Benefits at this Beach House
Fort Rodman can be seen from the front yard. The bike path in town runs from Fort Phoenix to Mattapoisett. At the end of Sconticut Neck Road is West Island with its beach and marina.

Welcome! Silvershell Beach is my favorite place to be! I find it a very relaxing place, especially since I teach in a high school nearby. I also have the full-time job and joy of being a mom to two high school age daughters and an adult son.
I really enjoy the water. I love the warmth of the sun and the sea breezes while sitting on my deck with friends. I also enjoy boating in Buzzards Bay with my boyfriend.
