Escape to this lakefront home on Flathead Lake. The home has spectacular views of the Lake and Rocky Mountains. Enjoy 68 feet of your own very private beach. You can boat, swim, sail or fish right off your beach and dock. There is a covered boat lift which can hold a boat up to 2500 pounds. A picnic table, hammock and lounge chairs are at the waters edge for your relaxation and enjoyment. Loaner canoe on the beach that you may use.
Roast marshmallows in the evenings around the lakeside fire pit or up at the house kick back on the large deck, fire up the gas grill and get something to drink while watching the sailboats sail by for the bi-weekly regatta. Or just take a relaxing soak in the outdoor hot tub.
Located on the North end of Flathead Lake this home is the perfect location for your vacation. A number of good restraunts are close by. Within a short drive are nine golf courses, antiquing, art galleries, and live theater, shopping and dining. The National Bison Range, hunting, horseback riding, biking, water slides and hiking in the Jewel Basin and hundreds of other places are also in the area.
Glacier National Park is less then an hour away. Take a day trip to one of the most spectacular places in the Rocky Mountains for hiking, sightseeing, taking pictures or whitewater rafting. Don’t forget to get some huckleberry ice cream while you are there.
Bigfork is ten miles to the East, Lakeside is four miles to the South, downtown Kalispell is nine miles to the North and Whitefish is 24 miles to the North.
The home is 1600sf. On the main level is the fully equipped kitchen, dining room, living room, bathroom, plus an additional vanity area, laundry room and the large master bedroom. The spacious deck is also on the main level. The master bedroom has a California King bed, couch, TV w/DVD player and sliding glass door that opens onto the deck. The living room has a queen sized hide-a-bed. Downstairs are two additional rooms. One of the rooms has a queen sized bed and a door to the outside. The other room has a double sized hide-a-bed couch and a twin bed.
A portable crib, additional fold up mattresses and high chair or booster chair are available upon request. TV/DVD/VCR/Cable and loaner movies are in the living room along with an ipod base. Free Wi-Fi available throughout the home.
There are stairs (9 steps) to get from the parking to the home. There are stairs from the home to the private beach (53 steps). There is a private outside hot tub on the home's deck.

Why the Owner Chose Somers
We think that the location of our vacation home is special. It is close to Kalispell, Lakeside, Bigfork, Whitefish and only an hour from Glacier National Park. Along with the location of the home comes the wonderful views of lake, Flathead mountains and the quaint town of Somers.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage
We love to see the bald eagles and osprey as they swoop down on the lake to catch fish for their young. We also enjoy watching the bi-weekly sailboat regatta from the deck.
The sunrise is spectacular. Sun pours in the home. The alpine glow sunsets are lovely.
One of my favorite things about the beach is how private it feels. For my girls I like how part of the beach glides gently into the water and is great for swimimng and how the other part of the beach is a rock wall that is nice to walk on or sit on.
Smores around the fire-pit are also a favorite.
After a day of fun in the Flathead Valley, nothing beats a soak in the outside hot tub.
Open for Breakfast and Lunch. Relaxed setting with free wi-fi, couches, fireplace, amazing views. Has boat slips you may tie up to. Coffee, Microbrews and Wine also served.
Open for diner and cocktails. Great views, relaxing setting, good food. They have a dock across the street that you may tie your boat up to while you eat.
Good Mexican Restarant They also have a small cherry orchard and allow people to pick the cherries for free. Yumm!
Bar and Restaurant. Pizza and brosted chicken to eat in or go.

My husband and I moved to the Flathead Valley from California 13 years ago. We were drawn to the area to partake of all the many year round outdoor opportunities. Plus, we thought the Flathead Valley would be a great place to raise children. We now have two lovely girls ages 6 and 4. Along with some family pets. We have had an awesome family vacation on the Flathead Lake. The beach house made all the difference! It is clean, comfortable and well stocked with all of the necessities and also many extras, such as toys for the kids, chairs by the beach, logs for the fire pit, all of the cooking utensils and dishes and pots and pans. The view is magnificent! We have loved our stay here and it is not over yet. There is alot to do here, such as boating, which we did and the Glacier National Park is close. We took a drive up to Logan Pass to show it to our son from CA who has not seen it. As usual it was beautiful! There is plenty of room in the house which adds to the comfort. We also went on a guided fishing trip whe was exciting! We've had a couple of beach days and will be boating and wave riding on our last day here with friends and family. Thank-you so much!

My husband, daughter, and I had the most relaxing, wonderful time at this lakefront property, and what a view! We've rented many places all over the U.S., but this one takes the cake for serenity. When we walked into the house, we could not believe our eyes! There's views from both bedrooms, the kitchen, and the wonderful family room! And thanks to the owners, too. They are wonderful to work with, and I highly recommend them the next time you are looking for a vacation rental. This property fit their website description and was extremely clean and well-organized. We like to cook, and we had everything at our fingertips!

Thank you for sharing your cabin with us. We had an amazing week exploring Somers, Lakeside, Whitefish, Kalispell and Bigfork. Beautiful view on a picture perfect lake. The kids could not get enough of swimming off the dock. Everything in the house was well thought out, thank you for making it a stress free experience. No luck fishing, but we had fun. Hope to try again at some point in the near future. We would love to come back and stay again.
