We didn't realize it was a basement apartment/condo. By the picture, we expected to be on a main level were it would be more sunny and bright. We should have asked...not just expected it. There was another guest on the main level, and you can hear everything. The condo above has a tile floor throughout. So you heard every chair move, every footstep, at all hours. Keowee Keys was very nice. Especially enjoyed the walking trail by the lake.Owner response: I have owned this condo since 2005, and have not had comments from my guests about the noise. The condo is not a basement unit, it is on the first floor. There are not as many steps to get to the front door as the upper units, but all of the units are facing the golf course on the deck. The tenant was renting in January, which is not always sunny weather, but it is usually pleasant most of the year.

This place was great for us. We just needed a cheap place to stay at night while visiting friends. It is small but clean, nice area. I would stay there again when we come back next time. I wanted to give it more stars. The realty company was great to work with. You need to stock up on supplies before you get there. Not much shopping in the area.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.
