The locale is in the more quiet west end of Panama City Beach on the north side of Front Beach Road, 2 miles west of Highway 79. Relax on the enclosed and climate-controlled front patio or stroll down to the sugar-white sands on the beach!
This house was renovated in early 2009, and has undergone a more extensive update completed in May 2011. It features new flooring and bath fixtures, new kitchen, new porch/patio, new den, and bright new paint and furnishings - the perfect beach retreat! The wide white beaches and azure water of the Gulf of Mexico are just a few minutes walk away with easy beach access.
Thomas Donuts, a West End fixture since 1971, and the Carousel, a family grocery store with a fabulous wine selection are short walks from the house. Antonio's authentic Italian restaurant, including a bakery, is a short drive down Front Beach Road. A GOLF CART has been added to help carry that gear to the beach or for a fun run with the kids to the Carousel or the donut shop.
The fantastic new Pier Park, with big name retailers and restaurants is also only a short drive. Watersports and fishing abound. Best of all, the cottage is only a 15 minute drive from the all-new Panama City Airport, opened in 2010! It's a place to enjoy for years to come!
PLEASE NOTE:
This unit is NON-smoking and NO pets. We do not rent to single unaccompanied persons under age 25 (college age spring breakers). Any evidence of smoking or pets will result in additional cleaning charges.
We will lock in your reservation dates and rental rate as soon as we receive your payment. Since no dates are held until a confirmation payment and signed agreement are received, your prompt payment will guarantee your time slot quickly - especially necessary for the busy spring and summer months. Minimum rental period year round is 3 nights, weekly rentals preferred. Weekly rentals run Saturday to Saturday. Check in 3:00 pm (CT) and check out 10:00 am (CT)
The $40.00 insurance fee is a one-time charge for any length of stay and is not refundable.
A one time end of stay cleaning fee of $100 and Florida state taxes of 11.5% are additional.
Payment is by credit card (Visa, MC, Discover, AMEX) or Paypal.

Why the Owner Chose Private Homes
Very excited by the beauty of the beaches and gulf, and the prospects for growth and improvement in the area now that the new Northwest Florida Beaches Intl airport (KECP) is open.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage
This property is a well-kept bungalow on a quiet street only a short block from the gulf. The 2 bedroom, 1 bath description does not do it justice. There is a lot of elbow room here in the form of a large dining area, a separate, sizable den with game table, and yet another separate utility area. The climate-controlled glassed-in front porch is a great place to watch the world go by, even on the occasional rainy day. Also, Laguna Beach is a "dedicated" beach, meaning that there is no development on the beach side of Front Beach Road, only dunes and sea grass. This makes it a unique part of Panama City Beach, but still only a short drive to Pier Park, Frank Brown park, and all the other attractions of Panama City Beach.

Wife is volunteer coordinator who was stay-at-home Mom during much of husband's naval career, and we have three great young adults to show for it. Now empty-nesters living in Memphis area, we get to Panama City Beach every chance we can!

This beautiful little jewel is the perfect getaway to a safe, friendly neighborhood, away from the crowds and wild kids. Just a block from a beautiful beach, and a great little golf cart to get you there. The place is so clean that I wore white socks for two days inside, and they were just as clean when I took them off!! Everything works, beds are comfy, full kitchen, beach chairs, bicycles, tvs with encore movies free, wireless is fast and trouble-free -- I can't say enough good things. The price is incredible; the donuts at Thomas Bakery are better than Krispy-Kreme -- get them warm, you will love them. Neighborhood restaurants are great (the little Italian place was delicious). Just a few miles from Seaside and Watercolor which are definitely worth a visit. Thanks to Phil and Jane for a great escape.

We have stayed in this house for two years in a row now. The updates the Work family have done are incredible!! We love this house! Itfeels like home and has everything we want and need ...and is so close to the beach!! We easily go back and forth several times a day. The golf cart is priceless if you have children and all of their things to carry. Plus it makes going to the grocery store for those daily items quick and fun. Close to shopping and entertainment, but far enough from the crowds! Can't wait to go again next year!

THIS WAS A WONDERFUL PLACE. JUST GOT HOME FROM THERE AND IT WAS EVERYTHING THEY SAID IT WOULD BE AND MORE, JUST WISH THAT IT COULD OF BEEN LONGER. WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS WONDERFUL PIECE OF PARADISE TO EVERYONE. IT WAS WONDERFULLY CLEAN AND A REALLY QUIET NEIGHBORHOOD. IT WAS WONDERFUL!!!!!

My family was in PCB for the USFA World Series. The house was very well located for the week of games, and truly just a short walk down a quiet street. It was also at a quiet end of Front Beach Rd, so I didn't have to worry about crossing the road. The house was clean and fresh as advertised, and lived up to and even exceeded the pictures. Phil was very easy to work with and very accomodating. Thanks for a great week!

This was our first trip to the Gulf, and we could not have picked a better place to stay. The cottage is neat, clean, and beautifully decorated. It is also loaded with extras to make you feel right at home! The location is perfect, as we were on the beach in less than five minutes each day...and I cannot say enough about Laguna Beach itself. Perfect!! We definitely have plans to come back to this same spot next year. Thanks to Mr. Work for all of his help in suggesting places to eat and play. I am a big fan!!

We stayed right after the remodel. The hauose and owners were great the first time we stayed there. On this visit everything was fresh and clean. These owners know how to make you feel comfortable. They show that with the way they take care of the place. We will visit PCB again and that is where we will stay. I thank Phil for being so personal with his vacation house.

I just took my children on a four day vacation at this home on Romanza Dr., and I have to say it was awesome! Not only was Mr. Phil (the owner) a wonderful help, this went so smoothly due to his willingness to go the extra mile with our schedule. The house is well kept, LOVED the way it was decorated, and felt very much at home :) Thanks Phil and can't wait to visit this home again soon, and thank you for calling from Germany to check and make sure we had a wonderful time. We had a great time at the beach cottage. It was very clean and comfortable - just as pictured. There is a nice beach access nearby. The owner is helpful and very easy to work with when reserving the house. We would recommend it to friends and family.

What a great place to stay! This cottage was roomy, neat as a pin, and the location is fabulous. Anyone would enjoy the rest and relaxation offered here. The cottage is just a few steps away from the fabulous white-sand beach. It is the perfect get- away spot for a family. It is on a quiet street and a perfect place to stay "plugged in" to the internet while taking a break from the day-to-day work routine.
