Birdsong Tobago is your home away from home. Birdsong is a graciously decorated villa apartment filled with all the amenities that you would need to provide the holiday of your life. Our panoramic view from the front balcony is unrivalled and offers a relaxing spot from which to disconnect from a hectic lifestyle. For more variety there are bird viewing areas, a private pool with a sunset deck, a wooden swing under a grapefruit tree, and lots of books, puzzles and games for evening entertainment.

Our guests say it repeatedly - the biggest disadvantage of Birdsong Villa is that it is so difficult to leave. Sightseeing trips seem unnecessary with the on-site offerings. But if you are in search of diversions you can be on 3 of the best beaches in Tobago - including Grafton Beach and Mt. Irvine beach - within 5 minues. Several restaurants are within a 10 minute driving distance and you can even find a bank machine and two supermarkets hidden away but only 15 minutes by car.

The garden around the house is a visual treat. Bougainvillea abounds, there are mango trees, a breadfruit tree, orange/grapefruit and lime trees so choose your season and there will be something available to pick. There are at least 20 easy-to-watch species of birds including our own resident Mot-Mots, bananquits and a variety of tanagers that live on the property and come to feed from the bird trays that we have available. And see if you can spot the squirrels lunching on the coconuts hanging on the trees.

  • A home away from home, Birdsond benefits from the warmth and principles of it's owners ! The share their Garden, where you can bird-watch and pick fruit from the trees, fantastic mangos. The rooms are very comfortable, it is quiet and the book collection extensive for the odd rainy day or read in the garden. The kitchen has everything one would need including a Vitamix for smoothies and other delights. The pool is the perfect depth for kids, the shallow end is really shallow, so it is ideal to have them learn in. All in all it was clean and very well maintained. I choose it over all else as it so represents the comfort, warmth and humility of Tobago.

  • Comment Rating: positive Comment Text: Sometimes you find the perfect location, but not the people. Sometimes you find the perfect people, but not the location. Well this place was a perfect place for both. My wife and I were looking for a great location surrounded by gret people as well. The owners of the property went so far above and beyond to make our stay perfect for us....and it was. The amazing thing is Joe & Grace are so kind and wonderful to everyone, not just their guest. They picked us up at the airport and had no problem dropping us off. They gave us such great information about the Island and where to go. They even took the time from their own day to show us around where Joe grew up. The day started our vacation the way you want your vacation to begin. Calm, not rushed, and surrounded by nice folks who are truly interested in sharing the great things about Tobago. The home sits in a way that you can see the ocean from the porch or the pool area. It was nothing short of great to spend the time here and to relax. In the evening we sat out on the open porch and could hear the Steel Band practicing off in the distance. We could also hear nice piano music during the day. At first we thought it was a stero from Joe & Grace's place. It turned out that Joe was playing the piano. Another surprise and pleasure to hear. The birds on the front side of the house seemed to be different than the ones in the rear. You truly did not need to go anywhere if relaxation was your thing. We did spend days at the local beach which was less than five minutes away. They were beautiful and warm. Make certain to try the small local eateries. The Fish Pot was awesome, and the Happy Hour at Stonehaven was perfect for the sunset and half price MArtini's. If you have a chance to stay anywhere....this is the place to stay. We have stayed in many VRBO locations.....however, this is the only one we will be retuning to.

  • I had the privilege to spend one week in this Villa and the whole stay was amazing! The residence was really comfortable and spacious, either if you want to lay by the pool or read a good book on the patio! I apreciated the proximity and large choice of various beaches (Pigeon POint is my favorite!). I also took 2 guided tours during my stay: one to visit the inside of the island and the rain forest, the ohter to scuba dive along the many bays and coves. Last but not least, the warm welcome and availability of the Goddards who made this stay so fulfilling. Thank you again! Go and enjoy this beautiful residence and island!
