  We rented this house over Memorial Day weekend. The house is very clean and very nicely decorated. It was big enough to accommodate my entire family. We slept 10 adults very comfortably. it is right on the river and very close to everything. I would definitely stay here again.

  We had a great guy’s weekend away! I would recommend this property to anyone, the house is beautiful. The dock is perfect for fishing and relaxing!

  This place was Amazing! I came on vacation with my husband,5 children(ranging in age from 12 to 3),and 3 close friends. After having a bad vacation experiance to South Padre,I was a little scared coming to the Oplt Haus in New Braunfels,but as soon as we arrived the house and view were amazing! In side the house was even better. It looked alot nicer then the pictures and was very clean! The lake house was very well stocked. The kitchen also had evertything u needed to make a family dinner. The bbq pit came in handy,because my husband loves to bbq. We visited Schlitterbahn(it was a very close drive) and had a blast! We also took a drive to San Antonio( witch is also a short drive). The house was right in the middle of everything! But just spending time at the house was my favorit.We all enjoyed swimming in the lake and us adults drinking a glass of wine enjoying the view. The owner was nice and easy to work with. I am defintly renting here again on our next vacation to New Braunfels!

  Although it rained off and on during our 3 day stay we all had a good time chillin out and playing cards and games. The house is very roomy to accommodate 8 adults and one baby and was very clean. We ate all of our meals at the house with all the necessary accomodations except for a cutting board. Be sure to bring one if you think you will need it. Also we did not find a hair dryer. All in all it is a great place and we would return again--hoping for sunshine this time.

  We were a group of 8 that stayed here for the weekend. The house has plenty of space where everybody can fit comfortably. The house itself is very nice and clean, still looks new. We ate all of our meals in, and the kitchen has everything you need for cooking (even a crock pot for queso!). The backyard has an awesome view of the lake, with a nice little outdoor patio. The neighborhood is fairly quiet at night, so it was very peaceful just sitting outside under the stars listening to some Texas Country music with a cold drink in hand (be sure to bring bug spray!). If you need to venture out of the house, you are not very far at all from New Braunfels/San Marcos (house is on 46 between 1-10 and 35). The owner was extremely nice and easy to work with, with definitely stay here again!

  My family took a weekend vacation here last weekend, and I must say we had the most wonderful time! The house was just as described, beautifully designed and comfortable, accomodating everyone's needs. The kitchen is immaculate with plenty of room for cooking! There is plenty to do around the area and it is only just a few short minutes away from river road and the guadalupe river. Our party ranged from a 2 year old to a 67 year old so it can suit any party of any age. Access to the lake was wonderful, it provided for gorgeous mornings, afternoon swims, and lovely sunsets. I would highly reccommend this property to anyone who is looking for a relaxing getaway in the lovely hill country!

  I enjoyed the house on the lake. The view from the master bedroom is to die for. The large bay windows make you feel like you are in a tree house, with the lake in the background, a vision for sure. The house was clean, spacious and very comfortable. The owner was easy to work with and things were as described. Sitting on the dock watching the sunset is serene and peaceful. A great get away. We used the outdoor grill and played croquet in the yard. We floated on tubes in the lake and enjoyed the wild life. New Braunfels and its German charm nearby, made this a vacation to remember. I heartily recommend it to all.

  This house went above and beyond our expectations. The home was clean upon arrival and beautifully decorated and Furnished. The views of the lake are amazing. The dock is nice to hang out on and the sunset and stars are amazing. We will be returning very soon.

  We recently stayed at the lake house during a visit to New Braunfels to float the Comal River, and we were extremely happy the the property. It was very roomy and clean, and the decor was beautifully updated. We really appreciated the fact that the house was so well stocked - lots of towels, pillows, and blankets, and everything you could need in the kitchen to cook great meals. The location was great because we were able to enjoy a quiet neighborhood without wild parties right on the lake, but still be within 5-10 minutes of grocery stores, restaurants, etc. We were able to take a cab to the Comal, and only paid $25 total for a 6-person van. The view of the lake was beautiful, and we loved being able to get out on the private dock. I would highly recommend this property!
