I just returned from a three night stay at this lovely home with our high school girls tennis team (12 girls, 2 adults). We honestly did not want to leave!! When we opened the door, we realized the house exceeded its description in the listing. The location was so easy to find and comfortable (like a home away from home). There was so much to do, just in the house. The girls lived in the hot tub, enjoyed movies from the extensive collection, and everyone had a comfy bed to sleep on. The swim passes came in handy not only for swimming but for access to the tennis courts as well. We made smores in the beautiful rock fireplace (wood and kindling ready to go!), flipped pancakes in no time with two large griddles, and barbecued chicken on the patio. The kitchen pantry gave us room to store our food for the weekend. The house was clean; and the decor charming. Three bathrooms were a plus with so many girls! The owners were very accommodating with our tournament schedule. We agreed that this house was where we want to bring our families for our next Sunriver visit. We were happy to add our names to the guest register. Our team grew so close with wonderful memories inside this home. Thank you for everything!!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

What a great house to rent!! All the immenities are there, along with over 100 bears! The location is great being so close to the village and the new SHARC swimming center, and the bike path just out the back side of the house makes it really easy to access. We love the house and plan on staying there again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

This rambling home is family-friendly. Five bedrooms downstairs, plus bunk beds in upstairs room. Places to be together and places to get apart. LOVED the location: about three walking-blocks to SHARC activity center and two walking-blocks to The Village Mall. Our three-generation family made many fabulous memories!Recommended for: Families with young children, girls getaway.

What a wonderful, delightful Thanksgiving weekend we had. Everything worked out so well. Thank you for taking our call on Thanksgiving (you hid the panel well). The kitchen had everything we needed. The kids with their parents loved the hot tub. The swimming passes were a hit. We almost had snow. The bikes were used many times. I was sorry your email about the new access code probably went in the junk mail which was deleted. No harm though because you answered the phone. Just a funny story. When my wife and I arrived at Sunriver, I was using a GPS. It told me to turn right, and my wife told me go left. What was I to do? You're right--I went left. We parked in front of #2 (the house didn't look like the picture, but I thought I would try anyway); after walking around the whole house and finding no key lock, I decided to get back in the car and go right where I went left. Sure enough, there was #2 Jay Lane. (I tried to break into #2 Hare Lane--we were just a hare off in our directions). Anyway, it was a very relaxing and enjoyable time with our family. We may be doing it again next year. By then we will have seven grandchildren. Our youngest daughter is having her first next month. Thank you again for such a marvelous house. We hope the housekeeping knows that we were bearly there.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

It was awesome. The accommodations were perfect. Loved finding a place with so many bedrooms with Beds sized for adults. We didn't tap into the Sharc much. Also I see why you kidded about exchanging for better bikes from the AIRPORT! All in all it was great. Thanks so much.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We had a great time together at this home in Sunriver. We needed 6 bedrooms for everyone in the family and this was one of very few we found that could accommodate us. The home was very comfortable, had a very nice layout and the location was SUPER!.. Located near the village mall and near the new SHARC facility (which everyone 2 yrs- 60) loved!. Since not all family members had a bike, the extras at the home came in handy. Thank you again !!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

The listing was accurate and the transaction went smooth. The owner was very responsive and a pleasure to deal with. Excellent home for families or groups with teens. Two living rooms with TV/VCR/DVD; one for adults and one for the kids! One of them also has a Play Station. The upstairs bedroom with the bunk beds also has a TV/VCR. Jay 2 is located in a quiet cul d sac and is within easy walking distance to both the shopping village and SHARC. SHARC opens at 10am. Get there early for best seating. I highly reccommend taking a day to go on the Paulina Plunge bike tour. And for biking around Sunriver, the owner does offer a range of bikes for use but I recommend you bring your own. There are also bikes to rent nearby. Take the time to bike the river path out by the horse stables. If interested there is a Costco in Bend about 25 minutes north of Sunriver but you can also shop at the local grocery store in the villiage. I recommend this property. Enjoy!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

Everything was as we had hoped and expected according to the description and photos - I think even better ! Our large family of: 4 young parents + 2 grandparents,1 pre-schooler, 1 crawling baby and 2 grade school age kids (plus a visiting family with 2 teens) had a wonderful time here at Jay Lane. We loved that we were so very close to everything - and the fabulous bike path was right next to the house. The home is in a quiet cul-de-sac, which was perfect for the kids to ride around on bikes without worries. We loved that we had such perfect sleeping arrangements for everyone - even the baby and toddler had their own rooms (which was very important to mom and dad !) The house is large enough that you could be up in the morning early and everyone else could sleep. The teens could stay up all night in the 'bunk' bedroom upstairs, if they wanted to. We rode the bikes everyday to SHARC and loved it - what a wonderful addition to Sunriver. We were close enough to it for the 3 year old to ride along with us on her own little pink bike. We loved the hot tub and the BBQ too. My daughter-in-law and I spent several blissful hours getting a massage and spa treatment at Sage Springs Spa, it was so pampering and pretty. We did that while the 'guys' got a few hours of golf in. The owner of the home is very accessible, friendly and helpful. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this house to anyone. We didn't kayak all of the lakes we wanted to, there are many fairly close-by, along the Crystal Lake Hi-way. We just never run out of things to do in Sunriver.....just time. We stayed a week - and we hated to leave.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Clean, can walk to village in 5 minutes, 12 passes are terrific, good appliances, having 2 washers and 2 dryers helps so much. Lots of movies, video games. Owners are great in being available to answer any questions. SHARC aquatic center is terrific for families and within walking distance. Want to go back every year!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

The home was clean and comfortable with ample room for our group of 10 -- rooms to spare! Plenty of space to spread out or everyone could gather in the kitchen/dining/family room area. We enjoyed the bikes and riding to the river and Nature Center. It was great to have the SHARC passes included with the property. The owner was friendly and answered all of my questions. Our stay was only 3 days so would love to come back and stay for a week next time! The video selection was great for our grandkids. Only negativee I can think of is that the kitchen lighting could be improved on.Recommended for: Families with young children

Each year we take our graduated high school students on a 'senior retreat' to the coast or Bend to celebrate and make the transition. When we saw this listing it sounded perfect and it was just as advertised and the pictures were very accurate. The last 2 years we have used this house because it is set up to accommodate a large number of people and is close to all the major fun (pool, shopping, bike trails, easy access to freeway back to Bend) . It is clean, well-kept and feels like home. The large deck and hot tub are great for hanging out and the living room and family room give us 2 areas to meet and either watch tv or play video games. All the games, videos, bikes and swim passes make it easy for everyone to have fun however they want! We hope to continue to using this house in the future. We love working with the owners, who are helpful and quick to respond to questions.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

We've always taken varying numbers of three families to Sunriver for part of Spring break week and your house served us very well. We really liked the layout, especially having two living rooms. I'll concur with the other review that if there was anything we commented on at all during the week it was that the kitchen lighting was a little lacking. But only a small nuisance. Everything worked great and it was a great four days. Plus you make the whole renting process very affordable and so easy--thanks!Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you for writting a review on our guest site. We were just at the house and made sure all 4 lights had the correct bulbs in them. Just curious, did you use both light switches that light up the kitchen?? One is next to the disposl switch by the kitchen sink, and the other is next to the pantry opening. Also, did the fluorescent tube lights over the countertop come on?? Or maybe it's just time to replace the fixtures:) Thanks again for the nice comments, come back soon!!

We stayed here for 4 days between Christmas and New Years, Dec. 2011. The house was great for our needs. (We also stayed here about 8 years ago, and the house is about the same with a few updates.) This place is perfect for: mixed age groups who need mostly couples bedrooms; small children (who love the one stairway but can be watched for safety); older folks or people with mobility issues, as the house is nearly all on one level; younger folk who will like the upstairs bunk room with its own bath. We also liked the two living/family room spaces, which provided good choices for people wanting different activities and different volume levels. The kitchen is not fancy but very well equipped and open to the dining/family areas so everyone can feel a part of what's going on, if they like. Kitchen lighting could be improved just a bit; also, they could use a few more small trash cans in bedrooms/baths. The beds were very comfortable. WiFi worked just fine, and we enjoyed the new upgrade to extra channels (e.g. ESPN) on the cable TV. Other bonuses include extra fridge in garage, and two washer/driers in laundry room, lots of bikes (we didn't use, in winter), even bike helmets, and close proximity to the Village Mall via bike path, or road. During our stay the rain gave way to a couple inches of snow, and we had a delightful walk to the village, pulling the grandkids on a sled. We gave up the Mavericks' access we had with other rentals on previous visits, but it was worth the trade to be in this house and so close to the mall. I think this house will come with access to the new SHARC rec facility anyway (it was not open yet when we rented). On top of everything else, you will find the decor to be "unbearably" cute!Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Hi David, thanks for taking the time to write a nice review on our home in Sunriver. We've never had any problems in the kitchen with the lighting so what might have happened is since we have extra light bulbs there, maybe they replaced some burned out bulbs with the 40 watt bulbs that go to the over fans. We will check it out the next time we are at the house. Welcome back anytime!!

My husband, daughter and her twin 2 yr olds, and her brother stayed here. Terrific house. Almost twin proof - we moved some items up HIGH. Great bedrooms, privacy when we wanted it. You can close off one half of the house too. The kitchen had everthing we'd need and then some. The hot tub was divine! Loads of bikes in the garage to use. The deck and BBQ got lots of use. Great to view the deer from (a hit with the boys). Very close to the bike paths and the Mall (thus the Hot Lava Bakery and the Grill). A 10 min bike ride or 5 min car ride to Fort Rock Park and a tiny bit further to the North Pool (the only one open until 9/25) and a great hit with our twins. Nice warm toddler pool. The new SHARC facility that's due to be ready next year is only about 2 blocks away. That will be a huge hit with us! We'll definitely go again to this house. The owners were very responsive and helpful with our questions. It was clean and had loads of towels - yeah! I'd recommend this property to anyone (except possibly football nuts - there's no ESPN or extended cable). Love the place!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

We stayed here for 8 nights with two families and a set of grandparents, the house worked out perfectly as everyone had a space to suit themselves and we enjoyed having a clean, fully stocked large house to enjoy while on vacation. We especially loved how close we were to the village mall, close enough to walk easily but far enough away not to hear the music at night time if we did not want to listen to it. The hot tub was a good bonus at the end of a day of fun filled activities and we would certainly love to stay there again with a large crowd of people. I would not hesitate in recommending this house to anyone going to Sun River. Thanks for a great stay :)Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, pet owners, sightseeing.

We very much enjoyed our 2-night stay in the Jay house. The many private rooms w/queens and the upstairs room for 4-5 w/bath worked great for the different couples and teens in our family. The extendable dining table, seats at the bar, and TV trays worked great for a large group, the kitchen was well stocked, the hot tube was great, and it was nice to have some bikes provided for those who didn't bring their own. Right next to a bike path, close to the village and store. Also close to the railroad tracks, but far enough away to not be a problem. Chuck and Marlies are great to work with! Would highly recommend, and would like to stay there again in the future!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

this home is clean and comfortable. the kitchen is VERY well stocked for large parties with doubles of smaller appliances and there was also a 30 cup coffee pot which we utilized to the max!. more than plenty of dishes/cups/utensils, etc. you will also find misc spices and paper products which i have found surprisingly rare in my years of renting :) so thank you marlies for that. the kids loved their lair and especially that they had their own bathroom!!! plenty of games and movies if you are so inclined. the table checker board was a hit! my husband was in 7th heaven making his fires and the open family/dingin/kitchen area was conducive to the family time i was hoping for. the hot tub was a hit with the little kids as well as the big kids also. nice roomy deck too. we were lucky in the fact that we had great weather...uncommonly warm for this time of year, very comfortable. the bedrooms are set up nicely also. if you are looking for a big master suite, this is not the place for you, but if you need alot of private rooms for couples, check this place out. nice touch having an extra refer in the garage too! oh and the bikes and helmets...plenty for all and in great working order. the location is wonderfully close to the SR mall which was a plus. all in all a great stay! marlies was wonderful to rent from and i adored searching all the little hidden surprises throughout the home like the mouse in the hand and the peeking cat, twig bike, etc. it was like a scavenger hunt for the grandkids! wonderful relaxing time!! i hope the squirrel gets away ;) and your husband has a great woodworking talent. thanks much and we will definately rent again!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
