the unit is very comfortable and very clean in a garden like setting. the lanai offers great shade for people who need shade. the unit is handy to the sea, golf and tennis, shopping nearby. the staff are very helpful and friendly. we would definitely go back. mahalo

The condo is attractive and well maintained. The grounds are manicured. The staff was friendly and responsive. It is a short walk to the restful common lawn and beach or the very nice shopping center across the street. The south shore location is definitely less congested and touristy than other areas we visited and this unit provides the perfect base for exploring the island. In the shade of the huge tree one can easily observe/attract many different birds; we were adopted by a Brazillian cardinal family! We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this unit to anyone.

It is not surprising that Conde' Nast's newest ranking of "The World's Best" resorts included The Kiahuna Plantation as one of the top resorts in all the Hawaiian Islands (and therefore one of the World's Best). It would also not be surprising if Conde' Nast had reviewed this condominium to arrive at this rating. This condominium has been delightfully decorated, well cared for, and completely furnished with everything you need to actually "live" Hawaii. The grounds are beautiful, and were once a garden plantation. The beach is one of the best in all the islands, and the unique and lush plantings give the entire location a feeling of REAL Hawaii. The excellent tennis facility and swimming pool are immediately available. This unit is wonderfully situated under a huge tropical tree, which shades the unit in the afternoon and early evening. At the base of the tree is a large gas grill for cook-outs. It is quiet, and an evening on the lanai is a vacation in itself. Parking is close, but not too close. At the end of the day, when you are too tired for one more moment of Paradise, cradle yourself to sleep on the premium king size bed. The Kiahuna Plantation and this condo will, from morning to evening, deliver the very best that Hawaii has to offer.

The Kiahuna Plantation grounds are beautiful with grassy lawns and a fantastic beach. I would highly recommend this unit. It is nicely furnished and well-maintained. The lanai is delightful for meals or just hanging out and reading a book. The kitchen is well-stocked with everything you could need. It's a great spot to enjoy paradise.

like a treehouse

This one bedroom unit is located centrally at Kiahuna. The grounds are beautifully landscaped down to the beach. The unit is comfortable and clean. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils. The huge tree outside the lanai provides great afternoon shade. The many barbeque grills on the grounds are clean and easily accessible. The restaurant on the grounds serves very good food, and many others are close by. Wifi worked great. Some beach toys are available in the condo. Concierge was very helpful. Check-in was a snap. I would return anytime.

Barbara, We would like to thank you very much for letting us stay at your condo. We didn't need to rush out to get breakfast every morning because we cooked it at your condo before hitting the beach. We were at the beach even before the rental place opened at 8:30am. The rental place has sand toys free of charge so we didn't bother buying one after all. But your boogie boards and snorkel were well used. Your place has everything you could possibly need and more. It was like being at your own home. Your tips were very helpful (i.e. make use of the laundry room and farmer's market at Hanapepe). You are absolutely right about Brennecke's Mai Tais...they were the best on the island as far as we know. Our boys didn't want to go home (our eldest who is almost 7 silently cried when we returned the rental car). That's how much they enjoyed this trip. This will not be our last trip to Kauai but it will take awhile before we go back again. We will surely get in touch with you when we do and will definitely recommend your condo to friends and family. Sincerely, Angge

We had such a lovely time staying at your place in Kauai – we stayed at the Outrigger last year but much preferred your place, it is so light and airy, nestled in the midst of the luscious tropical gardens. Thank you for having it so well equipped, I was able to cook proper meals without compromises! And we were happy to find the snorkel equipment too, it saved us having to buy for the whole family! We may call upon you again next year – we hadn’t intended on going to Kauai 3 years in row, but we had such a good time this year that we may be back again!

We have stayed in #236 twice - last Christmas season and now this Nov/Dec. We returned for a reason - it is a lovely unit in an incredible property! There is nothing like the magic of Kiahuna to wake up to, come home to, or in which to spend the entire day! Being an end unit, #236 has wonderful ventilation. It is very comfortably furnished. The kitchen is very well stocked and we love that there is a floor-to-ceiling window there (open, of course) as well as other parts of the condo, giving a wonderful open, airy feeling to the space. Building 36 is in a beautifully quiet spot. The BBQ right outside the kitchen window is wonderfully handy to the unit. The lanai is a favorite relaxing eating place. Barbara is pleasure to work with and makes sure her property is maintained very well. We would defintiely recommend this unit.
