This penthouse apartment is exceptional because of it's large private garden-terrace on the roof, with panoramic views of the Eiffel Tower and Paris. A romantic candle light dinner on the terrace, with the illuminated Eiffel Tower in the background, is something you will remember forever.
In a luxury building located in the Paris 16th - The "Paris-Chic district" - it is comprised of a living room, with a dining corner; a 1 pull-out sofa for 2 persons as well as a 1 sleeper sofa for 1 person; 1 bedroom; a modern and fully equipped kitchen; a foyer; and a bathroom. It sleeps 4 adults maximum and 2 kids.
The private, roof-top garden terrace is large with spectacular views of Paris & Eiffel Tower, which is accessible through a private staircase within the apartment. The apartment also features floors made of 0ak. The living room also has a balcony with a direct view of Paris and the surrounding area.
This area of Paris - the safest of all - has some of the city's most famous sights and attractions. An elegant district grew from two small villages – Passy and Auteuil. Fine houses line the quiet avenues. Concerts are regularly given by the Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra, horses trot along the sandy pathways, the hamlets are shrouded with foliage...
There is an atmosphere of countryside, and, indeed, the immense Park of the Bois de Boulogne is at walking distance, with it's lake, rowing boats and Jardin d'Acclimatation, an attraction that kids will love. The district makes for surprising architectural tours. Looking for Guimard, the sandstone building of the Perret brothers, rue Franklin. Visiting Le Corbusier, square du Docteur-Blanche.
The apartment itself is within walking distance of Roland Garros, where the famous International Tennis Championships take place each year at the end May.
It is the perfect base for exploring Paris: Champs Elysées, Arc de Triomphe, Modern Art Museum, Marmottan Museum, Le Bois de Boulogne, are all within minutes. Rue de Passy, nearby, is a good place to browse for fashionable new clothing. At Place de Passy, you will discover an amazing covered market leading on to rue de l’Annonciation and a church just past a row of delicatessens, greengrocers and wine merchants..
It's definitely a pleasant area to go shopping. There are plenty of Cafés and restaurants, fashion shops, "boulangeries" ( bakeries ) with delicious croissants, fruits and vegetable shops, flower shops, wine cellars, cheese shops, banks with ATMs, post office, etc.
The Auteuil-Passy district is neighboring the Trocadero area, with its terraced gardens; the view of the Seine and Eiffel Tower is dominated by the Palais de Chaillot with the Museums of Navy and Mankind. A bit further is the Arc de Triomphe and Champs-Elysees area.

A few basic tips that will make your Paris experience more enjoyable :
1. Do not think automatically that being in the first arrondissement of Paris or being as close as possible to the Louvre is your best bet. You may end up with some severe disappointments for a couple of reasons.
2. Renting a vacation rental apartment is NOT the same as booking a hotel room. There is no reception desk "downstairs" ! One of the ways to cope with this difference is to have a cellphone. You may lose your key, the building code may change, and get stuck in front of the building at night, and so many situations that I have seen where a cellphone would have avoided a minor incident to become a major inconvenience spoiling your vacation.

We spent a week at this property in Paris at Easter. We found it was the perfect location for us as we had three children with us and enjoyed the peaceful neighbourhood.The metro which is a short distance away made "getting around" the ciy very easy and a big plus for us was the park which was close to the apartment.
