Why the Owner Chose Emerald Isle
Emerald Isle is a family beach, safe for children, clean, with ample activities but not too commercialized. In addition, Phyllis grew up in Carteret County, Budda has spent his career living here and both children were born here. We love it here and enjoy sharing all there is to offer with others.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Lots of decking at 3rd Watch allows you to enjoy beautiful oceanviews, sun bathing or simply enjoying the ocean breeze while rocking away a lazy summer afternoon. We have ample rockers as well as a hammock. The beach access is just steps away and is a nice, wooden boardwalk crossing over the dune to the Atlantic.

We are a local family and count ourselves very fortunate to live and raise our children in Emerald Isle and the surrounding areas. We enjoy all water related activities and using our bikes as our mode of transportation around town.

We stayed in this house in the summer of 2010 for a week. It was awesome. We had never been to the ocean before and we thought 3rd row was really far back but it was only like 40 steps to the ocean. It was so nice. This house is close to everything and we will most definantly come back if we get the chance. And don't forget to order out pizza one night if you're not from the east coast... :P

The house was very true to it's description. Very clean, well maintained and nicely decorated. It is also conveniently located to the beach, grocery store and other shopping areas. We had a great time and would love to visit 3rd Watch again!

I highly recommend renting this beautiful, clean home that is just steps to the beach. We rented it for several weeks in the winter and could not have had a better experience. If we are ever back in the Emerald Isle area we will definitely check to see if 3rd Watch is available!
