Unique 1884 Swiss Style Victorian home with nearly 4000 square feet of living space and unique, original pressed tin exterior. It is NOT on the lake, but it is located right in the village, less than a mile from shopping, the lake, and close to village churches, restaurants, etc…
Enjoy old world splendor with modern amenities. Modern kitchen with fireplace. Family Room with gas fireplace. 5 total bedrooms... 3 bedrooms with full (double) beds. 1 bedroom with two twin beds. One bedroom is the 'former ballroom', huge with two twin beds and air conditioner; perfect for kids! There is also an office with a convertible sofa bed. 2 full bathrooms with antique tubs . 1 full bathroom with shower. Two half-baths. Large Living Room with antique Steinway Parlor Grand Piano (requires gentle use). Formal Dining Room. Informal Dining Room. Parlor (sitting room). Outdoor gazebo. Off street parking. Digital Cable TV with DVR in family room, plus cable TV in 3 bedrooms. 1 VCR. 2 DVD players. Broadband internet with wireless available. Old but functioning Weber gas grill.
The house is located less than a mile from downtown Skaneateles, between Stella Maris and the Athenaeum, and is a short walk to the lake or to shopping. It is our home, and we rent it out when we are away; we hope that it feels like 'home', not like a rental unit. Available weekly or monthly during July and August, and most holidays and 3 day weekends during the year.
We may be willing to make the house available on regular 2 day weekends as well. Inquire and we'll see if we can make it work out.
