"Beachcomber's Paradise" is what you've been expecting for your beach vacation. Located on spectacular Beachcomber Drive in the quaint town of Morro Bay, this luxury 2400 sq. ft. single level home has vaulted ceilings and 180 degree panoramic whitewater views of the Pacific Ocean. All of the rooms in this home are very spacious, including the kitchen. From the Living Room, Kitchen, Dining Room, Sitting Room & Large Front Patio you can view Morro Rock to the South and Cayucos to the North. The two Guest Bedrooms and the Den have incredible whitewater views as well. Nicknamed "Two Palms" by the local surfers for the two 60 foot tall Palm trees in the front of the house, they serve as a landmark for surfers and wayward house guests.
At Beachcomber's Paradise you'll be amazed at how quickly time passes as you find yourself hypnotized by the sweeping views of the sea. Gazing at miles of sandy beach will inspire you to walk down to the waters edge (the sand dollars are abundant at low tide). You can easily walk to Morro Rock or Cayucos, the choice is all yours. The wall of panoramic windows will make it easy for you to watch the kids play on the beach without even leaving the house. The distance to the beach in front of our home is approximately 100 yards(a football field). Beachcomber Drive is a popular walking, biking, viewing street. People come from all around to savor it's stunning views.
The Kitchen is a "Gourmet's Delight", granite counter tops with a commercial "Wolf" gas range, stainless steel appliances and European Cabinets. There's a second vegetable sink, dual stainless dishwashers and also the most amazing views of the waves crashing on the beach while you prepare your meals or just sip your coffee. The kitchen is complete with everything you'll need for the perfect vacation. A Cuisinart ice cream maker(great fun for the whole family, so bring your favorite recipes) and wine refrigerator are a few of the amenities for you to enjoy.
The front wrap-around 1400 sq. ft. Patio provides an incredible outdoor living space with extensive brick and flagstone, built in benches, lighting and includes a built-in Gas Fire Pit for those enchanting evenings and incredible sunsets! The built-in Fire Pit is very popular and provides the perfect location for making "Smores with the kids" (of all ages). We keep binoculars and a spotting scope here to help you more clearly view the otters, dolphins, seals, whales, pelicans, surfers and more. There's also an outside shower with hot & cold water to wash off the sand from the beach. The den accesses a small fenced backyard with grass and flowers.
This home was professionally decorated with beautiful beach furnishings, a cozy down filled sofa to snuggle in as you enjoy a warm fire in the Italian Travertine fireplace. Luxury linens, bath and beach towels, an ipod docking station, high speed wireless internet, games, books, kids beach toys, including croquet and boogie boards all await you. Decorated in the Caribbean Beach theme throughout . . . this home is what you would expect from a beach home. So, whether you're beachcombing, bike riding, surfing, golfing, wine tasting, shopping, fishing or just relaxing, this "is" the place!!! The place where every evening a new and beautiful sunset will surprise you, and the sound of the ocean waves will lull you to sleep.
This is a newer home on VRBO and really an unbeatable location, give us a try, you won't be disappointed! And by the way, all of the photographs on this site were taken from this property!
We would like to personally "thank" everyone for visiting our site and booking with us. It's a joy for us to be able to share this great house and location with others. Check our calendar on this site to see if your dates are available. We have openings in the fall months (November & December), which are the Central Coast's summer months with clear skies and warm days. We have also set aside June 6th, 2012 through June 12th, 2012 for a CalPoly Graduation group, so if you have a son/daughter graduating, see if that fits inside your schedule and send us an email. Thanks again.

Why the Owner Chose Morro Bay
We chose to purchase property in the Morro Bay area for many reasons, but it was not a snap decision. We like Morro Bay because it has a year round "small town" atmosphere with very little traffic, close proxmity to a college town(San Luis Obispo - Cal Poly), great year round weather, an incredible wine region, numerous golf courses, close to a large hospital, great restaurants and it's on the Pacific Ocean.
The Unique Benefits at this House
We're outdoor enthusiasts, so we enjoy hiking, bike riding, golfing (almost daily), beach walking, fishing and sitting outside in front of the house with a nice glass of wine at the end of the day watching the sunset. This is a tradition of ours, to always be back at the house for sunset.
This is the place! Look how close to the water this is! Unobstructed views of the waves and Pacific Ocean.
One of only a few beaches where dogs are allowed "off leash" as long as they get along with other dogs.
Great 18 hole golf course with Ocean views from many tee's and fairways. Affordable too!
One of many outstanding restaurants along the Embarcadero with great view of the bay and Morro Rock.
These little guys are almost always next to the dirt turn off right where the arrow is on the map. It's fun to drive out and see them.
This spot next to Morro Rock is where the "expert" surfers hang out and surf. Fun to watch!
One of our very favorite winery's close to Morro Bay. Great tasting room with friendly staff and outstanding wines. This winery is located north of Cayucos,6 miles on the right side of Hiway 1.
A Fantastic Restaurant with superb food, great service, amazing views and wonderful atmosphere. One of Morro Bay's best.
The Best lunch spot in Morro Bay. BBQed Oysters are $1.50/each and they're big, along with some clam chowder and garlic bread. Awesome!!
Another great lunch spot right on the Marina. Great food, views and service. Always have wonderful specials.
Owner's Map of Morro Bay
My wife & I are from the Tahoe area where we have lived for nearly 40 years. We knew that we wanted a place near the ocean some day and purchased a home in Los Osos in 2005. We loved the Los Osos house, but wanted something closer to the water and with a better view. We were on a realtor's tour one day when we saw the Beachcomber house. We made an offer and it was accepted. Every time we visit, we feel so blessed and lucky to have found such a great place with such an unbelievable view within steps of the ocean.

This is an exceptional home our family had an amazing week here and although all the reviews told us that the house was stocked we over packed and didnt need a thing we brought! Next visit we will heed the word of the owners and previous guests! The house was as clean as any top notch hotel, we even ran into Mike and his wife as they were finishing the cleaning and Mike walked us thru the ins and outs of the house and he couldnt have been any nicer! What a wonderful place to stay and relax! Thank you to the owners for providing this experience we will be back next summer!!!

We are spending our last night here and am sad to leave. We spent a week here and it was like staying in a giant 5 star hotel. The house was so clean when we arrived. Everything you need is here, kitchen fully stocked, plenty of towels, beach accessories etc. There is so much to do with all the little touristy towns. And the view is to die for. The house is set up in such a cute way, lots of room, not only would i recommend this house i would with no hesitation rent this home again. I had no complaints what so ever! Right now im watching our last sunset for the week and it is beautiful.

Our family has been coming to Morro Bay for over 30 years, and this home is definitiely one of the best homes we have stayed in. The owners have done a wonderful job with the house and it truly reflects their pride of ownership. The accommodations and the interior decorating shows attention to detail that you would seldom see in rental property. We had dinner every evening on the front deck with that amazing view. We just wish we had another week!

We had a wonderful stay at the "Beachcomber's Paradise" during the week-end of June 11, 2011. It is a lovely home with explicit attention to the finest of details. Our family/friends absolutely loved our experience in this very comfortable, clean, charmingly-decorated beach home with absolutely amazing and breath-taking views of the ocean and sunsets. The home is beautifully furnished and comes with a well-stocked kitchen...as well as anything else one would need for a nice vacation. We appreciated the little notes posted in various locations to help us with any questions we might have had as one moving into an unfamiliar home. It was a pleasure working with Fred and Candi as they were so warm, friendly, accommodating, and very professional as well. We highly recommend this home as it really was a "Paradise" experience. We are blessed with many wonderful and lasting memories of our son's Cal Poly Graduation/Vacation spent with family and friends. Thank you, Fred and Candi, for sharing your beach home with us!

My husband and I have rented many homes on VRBO, but this home tops them all - not only is it spacious and clean, the owners are wonderful to work with and very helpful! When our daughter started planning her wedding in Cayucos and we wanted to rent a home on the beach, we ran into problems because all the other homes had only weekly rentals that ended on a saturday. But - the wedding was on a saturday so we needed a flexible owner that would allow us to stay until Monday - thank goodness we contacted this owner who was more than flexible!! We are looking forward to renting this home again - the beds are so comfortable and the view so relaxing - we can't think of a nicer place to stay. Plus - the kitchen has everything you need to cook your own meals and save on the cost of eating out. If you like to walk on the beach, the beach outside is endless. You can walk for hours on clean beaches with friendly people and beautiful sunsets. Thank you to the owners for allowing us to rent your home with flexibility and great communication all around!!!

We vacationed here with our son and daughter-in-law and we all loved our time there. The owners were very helpful and the house lovely and very clean and well equipped. The location is amazing and perfect for beach lovers and beautiful sunsets. It was extremely relaxing and whatever we needed was within a few minutes by car. We spent time in the town of Morro Bay and San Luis Obispo. We also toured Hearst Castle. Overall, we would highly recommend this home for any family.

My family and I (including a 4 year old and 3 week old) came to Morro Bay as an annual trip. This time, however, was our first time staying in a beach house. We were celebrating the birth of my 2nd child, my birthday, and my mom's. The house was well equiped, beautifully furnished, and the views were AMAZING! As a matter of fact, we met the neighbor renters and started chatting. They walked through the house and lovedddddddd it! They will be contacting you next time. Thank you Fred for being so sweet! When we come back, we'll be contacting you!

My family and I really enjoyed our time at Beachcomber's Paradise. The location was perfect for us to relax, or get in the truck and take a short day trip. The single floor layout is perfect for small children (3 year old twins). We really enjoyed cooking in the large kitchen and appreciated all of the dishes, pans, etc at our disposal for use. The wraparound porch has a lot of seating and the outdoor firepit was a special treat to show our kids how to make s'mores! The owners were great to deal with and made it super easy to understand the process. We hope to stay here again in the future as it really was a wonderful vacation rental.

My husband, adult kids & spouses, and 2 grandchildren spent a week here and enjoyed every possible moment. Fred & Candi are wonderful hosts and committed to providing their guests with the perfect vaction. The kitchen is stocked with everything imaginable...since we had such a large diverse group, we ate all our meals "at home" and everthing we needed was right there! The home has a wonderful layout that met everyone's needs for privacy, relaxation, socializing and fun. Every evening we gathered at the fire pit for hours and were quite pleased that the position of the fire pit in the front of the house, provided us with privacy and was not disruptive for the neighbors. The proximity to the beach had quick and easy access so that everyone had the freedom to do exactly what they wanted. We had a great time and hope that we can come back next year! Thank you Fred and Candi for your thoughtful hospitality. What a great, comfortable home!
