Later in the evening, St. Thomas' twinkling lights provide a romantic backdrop to your evening.

The villa's perfect location offers proximity to town -- with its ferries, restaurants, and shops -- and to the world-famous National Park beaches of the North Shore while also providing complete privacy among lush landscaping.

Perelandra offers two luxuriously appointed bedrooms -- each with its own air-conditioning, and two large bathrooms -- each with a large walk-in shower.

This meticulously-crafted home includes cove molding, mood lighting, Saltilo tiles, exotic woods, and ceiling fans throughout. Glass tiles set in the vaulted ceilings bathe the living areas in light.

Doors from both bedrooms and the great room open out onto one of two levels of wrap-around decks and verandahs, which in turn, lead to the beautiful, refreshing pool. Perfectly sized to be large enough to cool off and exercise in (10 x18) but small enough to warm up quickly in the sun. While the pool area provides beautiful views of the ocean and St. Thomas, others can not view you as it is surrounded by garden walls and verdant foliage and flowers.

Perelandra is very-well provisioned. Its kitchen provides everything you'll need to fix snacks for the beach, make your own exotic drinks to sip poolside or while watching the sunset, or to prepare that romantic dinner for just the two of you. Special kitchen features include a large side-by-side refrigerator with ice-maker, range with built-in griddle, chef-quality pots and pans, and designer dinnerware.

Why the Owner Chose Cruz Bay

From the very first time I stepped foot on St. John 17 years ago, I have felt more at home on this island than I have anyplace else in the world. There is so much natural beauty here that I'm still amazed every time I turn a corner and catch a glimpse of that beautiful water. I love the beaches, the water, the snorkeling, the people, the restaurants but especially the peace, joy, and serenity I feel whenever I'm here.

The Unique Benefits at this Villa

Hands down, PERELANDRA has one of the best views on the whole island. I love stumbling out of bed in the morning, grabbing a cup of coffee, and waking up while sitting on the deck watching the world go by on the water in front of me, smelling the jasmine, seeing the bougainvilla and palms, watching the colorful hummingbirds and bright yellow bananaquits as they greedily drink their sugar water in front of me, and trying to decide which of the beautiful beaches we'll go to today. I love the location of PERELANDRA--that I feel like I'm in a very private garden the whole time I'm there but I can jump in a jeep and be to all my favorite beaches or restaurants or stores in 5-10 minutes or so.

      What a beautiful home! There is no better place for us to celebrate our 10th anniversary than Perelandra. The view from the deck is like something from the movies. This was our 2nd time to the island and we are hooked for life. I can't imagine any other place than this that truly fits the description of "paradise"... All in all, it was a wonderful trip in a beautiful home. Thanks so much for your hospitality. We will definitely be coming back!

      We have to leave tomorrow for nasty Chicago (12" snow, 20 below). This was our 7th time to St. John and 1st stay in this lovely home. My favorite thing to do was to watch the sunset every night from the deck... The view from the upstairs bedroom is great: the sun & sea in the a.m., twinkling lights from St. Thomas at night... [We started coming to St. John] 20 years ago; it's more built up and more traffic of couse but the views are the best of anywhere I've been (Cinque Terre in Italy is 2nd). Thanks to Cynthia for all her help and for calling. Our weather was a perfect 82 degrees and sunny EVERYDAY!

      Great week--our 4th in St. John and 1st at Perelandra... The villa was terrific--we grilled 3 times and at out 3 times...Pool was refreshing. Evening breezes were very pleasant. Views of St. Thomas from the deck, bed, and great room--absolutely amazing. Kitchen very well stocked. Love the shower. All in all a great week--to celebrate our 25th anniversary. Well done Cynthia!

      We got married on Trunk Bay and spent the rest of our honeymoon in St. John. Being at PERELANDRA was one of the highlights of our trip. The villa is extremely clean and had everything we needed. The best thing to do is just sit on the deck and watch the sun rise and set. We had a great private dinner at the Sugar Mill Ruins at Caneel after our wedding and some of the best snorkeling off of Waterlemon Cay. We will never forget this trip and can not wait to come back.
