"Great place for spending the Summer of 2011. This year around lake home on Lake Annabessacook is surrounded by rolling lawns and woodland habitat offering plenty of privacy. Expansive windows and decks offer multiple views of the lake, islands and wild life. During our stay we saw loons, Canadian Geese, fox, muskrats, wild turkeys as well as a doe and her two fawns. We were able to play golf at three area golf courses as well as attend the Monmouth Theater's professional plays, all within a 15 minute drive. The Maine Coast, LLBeans's, and Portland are all within an hour's commute. The property's beach area and dock were ideal for young children, and the Kayaks and canoe allowed for lake exploration. We really enjoyed the paddle to Great Island for swimming and walking the nature trails. This vacation home was well furnished and the owners were quick to respond if anything was needed." We had a wonderful vacation! The private sandy beach was perfect for our children (2,4). This house is very private and the large backyard is great for outdoor family activities. The kayaks and canoe were nice for exploring the lake. Big Island is a must see. The kids enjoyed the beach and walking trails on the island. The house was very well stocked with everything we needed and more. Thanks again for a great week!

What a wonderful time we had with our 10 mos old granddaughter. It was a treat to spend time with our family and enjoy all this vacation home has to offer. The fishing was good and we enjoyed being on the water and in the sun. We had a daily visit from the turkey family and saw a bald eagle. We hope to return again and again to this wonderful place. We can't believe our vacation is over. What a treat to be able to stay in such a beautiful home right on the lake. Even though there were many things to keep us busy, we just enjoyed sitting by the lake and taking in all it's beauty and peacefulness. This was the perfect Labor Day weekend! We loved being here at one of Maine's little treasure spots...so relaxing and serene. The best part was sitting by the lake with morning coffee. What a wonderful vacation! We enjoyed every part of our stay.. from boating and spending time by the lake to relaxing on the back deck to playing board games at night. Our two week stay has been an absolute delight. We have enjoyed wonderful weather which has allowed us to explore the lakes and experience some amazing "bald eagle" moments. We also spotted a beaver, a flock of wild turkeys and were serenaded by our friends the loons. The full moon with the exquisite reflections lighting up the lake was a memory that we will carry with us forever. The house was very well stocked and equipped for families. We would certainly recommend it hightly. Marres

We had a great week. The weather was wonderful and this location is perfect. We love the quiet setting and the view is beautiful. Our grandkids had so much fun. They caught alot of fish, even a big bass. The loons were my favorite. Even saw an otter and a bald eagle several times. The house had everything and then some. Your place was great for our family group. We loved the view of Annabessacook, and took several trips out in the kayaks and canoe. We took day trips to Reid State Park, Bucksport, Freeport and more. Your grounds are so well cared for. We caught a sunfish and a small bass off the dock, my son was thrilled. Our week passed much to quickly. Smiths

We are so glad that we found this rental home and hope to return every year! Our kids escpecially enjoyed the lake, canoe, and basement (we don't have basements in California)! The beach area and gentle slope into the water provided the perfect environment for our kids to play and practice swimming. And, what a spectacular view! It was as soothing as it was beautiful. We also appreciated the insightfulness of the owner. Everything we needed (from life jackets to toys, games, books, and umbrellas) was thoughtfully provided.

Brad, For whatever reason(s), it would not accept my comments due to “Insuffient Data” so I am providing my comments below: Your private lakefront home was a perfect setting for our R&R (rest & relaxation) with our friends. I loved having the kayaks available to explore the lake and the abundant wildlife around. We saw eagles, loons, a Great Blue Hearing, hawks, turtles, fish, muskrat, and other four legged critters. The house and landscape was clean and well maintained and I would love to do it again.

Fabulous property. Great host, very accommodating, great lake, great views, private and clean. No negatives. We took out the canoe and the kayaks - saw an eagle. Relaxed. BBQ'd with the grill on the deck. Fantastic.

What a blessing it has been to be here. Our family of 5 all enjoyed our stay here immensely! From beach to boating, thoughtful children's toys and activities. The view is spectacular - sunrises and sunsets and loon friends. Really wonderful! I just want to praise your insightful furnishing of the house children's toys, life jackets, kayaks, canoe, DVD's, computer... the list goes on. (try the peanut butter) The view is spectacular, and the loons kept us company the whole time. The kids never tired of swimming, playing Yahtzee, or beating me in ping-pong. We had a wonderful vacation at your lake home. The canoe and kayaks were a big hit. On calm days the younger children were able to row across to the island. We took a family trip to the sandy beach on the right tip of the island and enjoyed hunting for rocks. The sandy beach at your home is great for the kids. Thanks for all the extra's you included. What wonderful memories we have created here at the lake house with our family. Our three year old enjoyed his very first real fishing experience. He decided he likes to keep the fish as pets, but did not like the idea of releasing them or cooking them. Our little girl (14 months) enjoyed hours of splashing around in the wonderfully shallow water. She also loved running up and down the dock. We also were relaxed by the beautiful view from bed of the quiet lake at night. With two small children it takes so much more to get us in a true state of relaxation. The tranquility and beauty of this place did just that. This simple beauty is a wonderful testament to God's existence. Hope to come back again! Amelia and Micah

What wonderful memories we have created here at the lake house with our family. Our three year old enjoyed his very first real fishing experience. Our 14 month old enjoyed hours of splashing in the water. With two small children it takes so much more to get us in a true state of relaxation.
