House - Rhode Island Vacation Home June 2008 Newly refurbished. Our home is a 3 bedroom oversize cape. We just put in new floors through out the downstairs and new walls/paint in family room as well as a brand new bathroom. Walk through the back door into the large family room surrounded by windows viewing the fenced in back yard. There is 2 bedrooms and 1 full bath on the ground floor. Go trough the kitchen and a second family/dining room to stairs that bring you up to a 3rd bedroom and 1/2 bath. There is a fenced-in yard off the back of the house right off the family room for outside dining and a brand new gas grill. Completely furnished with all the amenities of home including lobster pot, and plenty of wine and drink glasses. This beautiful community of Bonnet Shores is a unique family vacation spot and an easy commute to New York City, New Haven, Boston, or Providence. Located on the southern tip of Narragansett Bay at the point where it flows into the Atlantic Ocean. Bonnet Shores is a beautiful crescent beach with a spectacular rocky coastline surrounding a gentle, shallow beach that is perfect for small children. Our home is a five minute bike ride to the beach and five minutes from exploring beautiful Bonnet Point. You can walk or take the local weekend shuttle that bring you to Bonnet Shores beach. (great beach for kids). Our home is also located less than .5 mile to the boat launch at Little Beach. Or you can go to Scarborough or Narragansett town beaches just a short drive away. Located 40 minutes south of Providence, we are 15 minutes from the Amtrak Train Station at Kingston with service to New York City and Boston, 20 minutes from terrific downtown Newport, as well as ten minutes from Jamestown. Drive 15 minutes to the fishing village of Galilee for fresh Lobster or take the ferry to Block Island for the day. A new high speed ferry from Quonset Point (ten miles north) will take you to Martha's Vineyard in one and a half hours! Ride the ferry from Newport to downtown Providence and shop at beautiful Providence Mall. What a way to see the Bay! A great family vacation spot, Bonnet Shores is a very friendly and unique beach community.
