The landscape of this stunning island is incredibly varied, from white sandy beaches on the coast to the mountainous terrain in the central parts of the island.
The house at CASA CANALE is located in the village of Aglientu, a village of only 800 that is located just 30 minutes from Santa Teresa di Gallura, and 30 minutes from Tempio Pausania in the northern coast of the island (Accessibility: Olbia Airport or Alghero airport, Ferries to Golfo Aranci/Olbia from Civitavecchia/Genova/Livorno/Napoli and Palermo). The town sits 2600 feet above sea level and the house is situated on 4 peaceful acres of land, all surrounded by woods and beautiful typical Sardinian landscapes, with a beautiful view over the archipelago of La Maddalena and Corsica. The beach is located just 4 miles away.
Famous the world over, the beaches of Sardinia are truly something that must be seen to be believed. Crystal clear waters and white sand that runs for miles, Sardinia truly is a touch of paradise in the Mediterranean.
The house is located in a very quiet setting, 500 yards from the owner's residence that takes care of the beautiful gardens. The gardens offer every type of vegetable and fruit (tomatoes, potatoes, carrots, eggplants, zucchini, grapes, strawberries, lettuce, cabbages, peaches, basil and other spices) from April to October and is open to every guest for as much produce as is wanted, all homegrown organic food!!
The beach down the road is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, with white sand and turquoise water. The area has a lot of historical sites with nuraghe, old churches built with a mix of Spanish and Italian architectural styles. The town has a fully equipped market, bakery, meat and fish markets, pizzerias and local style restaurants. There are many possibilities for a vacation at Casa Canale. So whether you are looking for a quiet and relaxing time eating healthy and homegrown food, or an active vacation with water sports, cultural outings and romantic dinners overlooking the sea, you will love your time spent here.
