Get away from it all and enjoy a cozy mountain cottage in the most scenic valley in Montana, the Bitterroot Valley. Conveniently stretching south from the growing and beautiful garden city of Missoula, the Bitterroot Valley is nestled between two majestic mountain ranges with the beautiful Bitterroot river flowing for 90 scenic miles. Victor is a sleepy, postcard-pretty community in the foothills of the Bitterroot Mountain Range.
Some of the best hunting and fishing in the world is found here, and the 3rd largest wilderness area in the lower 48 states borders the valley. There is a lot to do and even more to see.
The vacation home is situated in a picturesque area surrounded by a 2000 acre cattle ranch and hay fields, so very quiet and peaceful. Not many neighbors. However it is close to a major city for your "city fix". lots of shopping and culture.
Lots of places to fly fish, hike, cycle, ski, horse back ride with lots of nice restaurants. Very country. Only a few hours to Canada, Glacier National Park, Yellowstone National Park, Idaho and Washington. Very centrally located for seeing the Pacific Northwest of the USA.
I have a beautiful cottage in a valley surrounded by the Rocky Mountains. Deck and patio and huge trees and flower gardens. Very low maintenance. This is my main home. Has EVERY thing you need!!

Owner's Profile
Owner Description
I recently retired from the restaurant/bar business and started traveling in my motorhome and doing house trades. Since my home was sitting empty so much of the time, thought maybe I should let other people enjoy the beauty of where I live and all it has to offer. This also gives me a little more income so that I do not have to get a "job" as retirement income is not always enough!!
Why the Owner Chose Victor
This has been my home for 31 years and I decided to turn it into a vacation rental while I travel. Still live in it when it is not rented. people love the hominess of it and the fact that it literally has EVERYTHING, since it is where I live.
The Unique Benefits of this House
I love being able to walk out my door and enjoy the rocky mountains while sitting on my porch drinking a hot cappuccino in the mornings. The brisk mountain air rejuvenates me and reminds me why I love it here so much. Being within walking distance of hiking trails, biking trails and a huge fly fishing river is also a plus. Only one hour to ski resorts. 45 minutes to the airport and we have no REAL traffic in Montana. The whole state only has 900,000 people and its the 4th largest state in the nation, so our skies are clear with no smog or pollution and that is why we are called the Big Sky Country. 6.8 people per square mile.

Nice country home with wonderful views of the mountains. Everything we needed was there - just like being in our own home. The owner was very responsive to questions and kept in touch. We have already recommended this home to friends and would definitely book again.

The property in Victor was very lovely. The pictures of the house were good , but the house itself was even better. The place was very clean and well maintained. The owner was very good about answering any questions that we had. We would recommend this place to our relatives. We would stay there again. We had a great time, hiking aroud the Bitterroot Valley. We enjoyed the scenery, especially the Snowcaped Mountains. We had a great time.
