Location: Sula, Bitterroot Valley, Glacier Country, Montana, USA (90 miles S. of Missoula in the Beautiful Bitterroot Valley)
Accommodations: Cabin, 3 Bedrooms + Convertible Bed(s), 2 Baths (Sleeps 2-8)
Our new log cabin is nestled in tall pine trees overlooking a meadow and creek on our working cattle ranch. We are located on the Lewis and Clark Trail where they came over the continental divide into Montana over 200 years ago. The same pass that Chief Joseph lead the NezPerce people through just prior to the battle in the Big Hole.
The elk, deer, coyote, bear, eagle, moose, wolves, and cougar all call this home as well. There are Big Horn Mountain Sheep that live nearby. Fishing in three major rivers is from 10 to 35 minutes away, as well as rafting, canoeing, or kayaking.
Please check out our website to learn more about our rentals as well as the area (see website link below under "Additional Web Information").

Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 1975
I was born and raised on our ranch after my parents bought this place in 1942. My husband and I worked in education in Alaska for 17 years prior to purchasing the ranch from my parents. We now raise registered Black Angus and keep busy with the cabins both in the summer and winter as we are just 8 miles from outstanding skiing. The summer keeps us busy with haying and preparing for winter and loving the cool nights and beautiful days.
Why the Owner Chose Sula
We lived in Alaska for 17 years and we thought this was the perfect place to be after retiring from there in 1990.. love the climate with mild winters and cool summer nights.
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
The benefits here include continual peace and quite.. the no hassle no bustle relaxed way of life suits us just fine. To look out the window and see elk, deer, coyote, wolves, eagles soaring high above the tree tops. Fishing in our lakes and rivers or floating the rivers so very near by. Hunting the wildlife from the house as our land borders Forest Service on 3 sides.. The permit only for the Mule Deer Bucks across the road as they are nearly all trophy size... To hear the Elk bugle and the cougar scream is a thrill that most will never hear and these are a few of the unique benefits I find here.

We stayed at the smaller cabin in 2001 and 2003. The owners are wonderful hosts! Lots to do and see if you love this part of the country as we do. Hope to go back again some day soon. We miss it very much and talk about those 2 vacations as if they were yesterday! --The Millers - Ohio/Michigan
