My husband and I stayed at the cabin for only two days, but we had a fabulous two days. The cabin was very inviting and clean. Susan was the best, we left our directions at home and did not realize it until we were almost there. She graciously guided us to the cabin. We would recommend this cabin and plan to come back in the spring. She places cookies on the table for the guest, what a wonderful touch, and they were delicious.

Recommended for:Girls getaway, romantic getaway.

My husband and I chose this cabin based on the prior reviews and great photos shown in the listing. The cabin looked just like the photos and was indeed a great choice! What a wonderful and idyllic cabin this is. The cleanliness of the cabin was one of the first things I noticed. Everything was up to date, stocked well with all the needed essentials and the views overlooking the water are outstanding. Thank you, Ray and Susan, for giving us the pleasure of staying at your wonderful cabin. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! P.S. Oh, and the cookies were a delicious added touch. My husband scarfed those down the first night!

Recommended for:Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

My husband and I stayed in the cabin for 4 nights and it was great! The cabin was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Even though we did not have a boat, the dock was fun for fishing. And yes, the chocolate chip cookies are awesome!

The Cabin

My husband and I stayed at the Cabin for four nights (Apr. 27 through Apr. 30, 2011); our daughter, son-in-law and two grandchildren joined us for two of those nights. It is by far one of the cleanest houses we have rented at Lake of the Ozarks. In fact, only one other was as clean as this one and we have rented several houses on the Lake over the years. It is decorated so nicely; I felt like I was renting a cottage on the ocean with the nautical theme. Ray and Susan are super sweet and go the extra, extra mile to be helpful in any way. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay....and we caught quite a few crappie too. The cookies are certainly a nice and "sweet" surprise. I would recommend this house to anyone.

A great place to stay. I would recommend Susan & Ray's cabin to my friends and relatives. Clean, comfortable and fabulous view. Yes, Susan's cookies, (Nice touch) are the best! Great location on the lake but be prepared to drive into the woods on narrow roads. This was the perfect location for our girls weekend. Next time we will check out the Tikki bar around the corner. My husband and I stayed here for three nights and four glorious days! We came in September and were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary. The location on the lake was great. We didn't have a boat but we didn't need one. We were able to swim and float around the cove area with a nice ladder back on to the dock. My husband had great luck just fishing on the dock every morning and every night for crappie. He caught his limit every day. The accomodations were clean and up to date. The bed and pillows were comfy, towels were good quality, everything was just as if you were in your own home..........only better because you didn't have to do the upkeep and pay taxes!!!!! The only con would be having to climb stairs but we didn't have any problems with that and I don't know many places on the lake where you don't have to contend with that. We will definitely try to come back to this rental.

Host and Hostess of the Year!!!

We called about the cabin first and found it was already rented. Our wonderful hostess Susan called back to let me know she could put us up in the "cottage" just next door. The pictures looked appealing and with the reviews we had seen on the cabin, we jumped at the opportunity. What a wonderful decision that was!!! The Cottage would easily have accomodated 6 people, but I was certainly happy to have it to ourselves for the weekend. Normally we are social and tend to venture out in the evenings. This place was so fantastic, we stayed put all weekend. The place was immaculate....so clean, up to date and very well equipped. We wanted for nothing at all. We simply wandered from one place to another on the property. We started and ended each day on the screened in porch. During the day we drifted between the open deck to the dock, in the water and back again. Perfect location to view the lights across the water at night and the boats passing by during the day. It is obvious the owners take great pride in their property and their reputation! This is on our list of places to visit again....the sooner...the better!! I'd go back just for the cookies alone! We spent 4 day here just a few weeks ago and were thrilled with it. We are in the janitorial business so the first thing we look for when we go away is to inspect for cleanliness. My family and I stayed in the cabin Oct 3, 2008. This is a wonderful place, very clean and peaceful setting. Ray was a great guy, didn't get to meet Susan, but could tell by talking to her on the phone she is wonderful to. I could not of found a better getaway, and we will definatly be back. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who needs a cozy place to relax and take life easy. The cookies they greet you with are awsome. Thank you Ray and Susan for a much needed getaway.

We stayed at the cabin for a week at the end of July. We left the men and the kids and the dogs at home and it was heaven! The cabin was immaculately clean and had everything we needed, from the tissues at the bedside to the well equipped kitchen There was even reading material in the bathroom! The cabin was everything we hoped it would be. Extremly clean, very well appointed. It was as comfy as being at home. The view was exceptional as were the cookies. I can't imagine anyone would need anything that isn't already provided.

What a delite to have a comfy, clean cabin waiting for us. After such a long drive it was a nice surprise to come to. The cookies were delicious and did'nt take long to disapear. The lake was a little cool but we enjoyed it every day, the patio and grill were enjoyed almost every day. This was my first trip back to Lake of the Ozarks in 28 years. This was where I learned to fish and I wanted to bring my 19 yr old son back for the same experience. What an amazing difference a few years can make. The cabin was immaculate and very inviting. The boys were very pleased. This was the most relaxing and enjoyable time I've had in a long time. Thank you for providing such a well stocked and welcoming home away from home. And your cookies were the best!

We had such a wonderful time! Fourth of July was a perfect time with our family. The Cabin was great. Everything we needed. Fun with the Jet Ski's was had by all. Susan/Ray: Only one word can properly describe our stay and your cabin: Idyllic!! We just recently returned from our trip to the Lake and had one of the best vacations any of our party can remember. Quiet, serene, beautiful, relaxing and perfect! From the Champagne flutes to the ice pick, anything and everything we needed you had thought of! We will definitely be back and will most definitely be renting the cabin again. Thanks again for your wonderful hospitality and for providing us with the perfect place for some much needed respite! your cabin has all the comforts of a cozy bed and breakfast,with alot more privacy. we only seen the owner once. I knew i loved the place when i walked in and the first thing we seen was a plate of DELICIOUS chocolate chip cookies, and i'm not a cookie person

WOW, what a place - WONDERFUL!! and you have to love those bath towels....HUGE! Thanks Ray & Susan for such a lovely place with a homey feel. We had a great week with some good fishing. ....we stayed with Kear's, what a great time! We caught Bass, Crappie, Blue Gill and Catfish. Even with the 5 inches of rain one night, it was sooo much fun. Bar-hopping and relaxing in our pontoon, can't wait to do it again.

We spent our Honeymoon down here at the Lake 38 years ago, so decided it was time to celebrate an Anniversary here. We were not disappointed, we had a wonderful time. Your Cabin is great, we enjoyed everything. Hope we can return again!
