My husband and I spent a week in May, celebrating our anniversary, in Maria's wonderful Vero Beach home. From our first encounter with the real estate manager, Amanda, to our departure, the experience was terrific. (Amanda was knowledgeable, friendly, courteous, professional, and responsive to all our questions concerning the rental home and the area.) Maria, the owner, was also extremely responsive, friendly, and professional. Our only regret is we didn't reserve it for a longer stay! It is a short walk (500 feet) to a magnificent private beach, extremely private, and, for the same price as a hotel suite, the home is large enough to have visitors. Our brother, his daughter, and her husband came for the weekend and we had more than enough room for all. The kitchen was well equipped and stocked so we didn't have an opportunity to go out for dinner or breakfast. The family room has comfortable couches, big screen TV, and a great stereo system, however with all the activities, we didn't spend much time watching TV. The home has an open feeling with rooms adjacent to the pool area, screened doors, and ceiling fans, that kept the home cool and comfortable. We rarely needed to use the air conditioning, although there is two-zone. We went to the beach, spent time in the terrific pool, visited near-by museums, art galleries (Stringers is especially wonderful), the botanical garden (McKee), shopped in the village, walked at Riverside Park (an unexpected pleasure was to visit the memorial park), and had a great afternoon at Sebastian beach and pirate museum. From a practical perspective, we shopped at the Publix and the small market. Both were great. The CVS and gas station are within a few miles. Also, it's great to have a washer/dryer available. We are seasoned travelers and would highly recommend staying at Maria's Tuscan-style home for anyone who wants a relaxing luxury vacation.

Our 4th year in paradise

This has been our 4th year (3 month rental) at this beautiful home in Vero Beach. The home is beautifully decorated and has everything you need for a spectacular stay. The beach is breathtaking (about a minute walk away), surf fishing fantastic and pool is beautiful. The neighborhood is very convenient and close to all of Vero's best restaurants, shopping centers and grocery stores. We have made a number of friends in the neighborhood and wouldn't think of staying anywhere else in the area. Maria and Ron were the perfect hosts and Maria's son is a charm to work with if any minor issues arose. We were fortunate to meet Maria's Mom who was visiting and what a delight she was. We can't wait for next year to see all the wonderful people who have touched our lives and made our "home away from home" so wonderful!!

I ws so pleased that the internet virtual tour was exactly what we found. A lovely and comfortable home with all the enemities plus a short walk to the Atlantic beach. I would rent this home again in a heart beat!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Maria's house! There were six of us, five adults and one child. Everything from the pool, the VERY short walk to the beach, the bedrooms and house amenities were exactly as described. In fact the master bedroom is much prettier in person - there's a lovely sitting area that's not pictured. The house was very conducive to a relaxing vacation; which is just what we wanted.

Vi har lige haft 2 fantastiske uger i dette skönne hjem. Beliggenheden er fantastisk kun 20 skridt fra havet. Stranden er skön, vandet fantastisk, dejlig köligt i forhold til varmen. og vi havde stranden nästen for os selv. Vi var hver morgen oppe for at se solopgangen hvilket var fantastisk isär at se Pelikanerne sväve henover vandoverfladen pä jagt efter fisk i morgendämringen. Vi sä manatees og masser af spor efter skildpadder der kommer op om natten og lägger äg. Desvärre lykkedes det os ikke at se nogle när vi var pä stranden om aftenen, men for den tälmodige er det absolut muligt. Huset levede op til vores forventninger uden vi dog vil kalde det for et luksus hjem( kommer naturligvis an pä hvordan man definere luksus) Her var alt hvad vi havde behov for isär när du er afsted 2 voksne med 2 voksne börn(21 og 22). Poolen var skön vandet varmt og haven meget privat. Husk myggespray, isär om aftenen. Vero beach har en masse smä hyggelige restauranter og smä butikker med alt hvad hjertet begärer. Man kan naturligvis ogsä finde Malls og endda Vero's eget Outlet. Vi kan varmt anbefale dette sted og vil til enhver tid komme tilbage for flere skönne ferier. Eva Christian Peter og Ida Thing :-)

My wife and I have rented many vacation homes with our two children, and in this case, extended family. This home earned a unanimous five stars from all of us. What the beautiful pictures do not capture is the tranquility inside and out. Inside, the kitchen and television area provided the perfect breakfast and lunch spot, while in the evening we enjoyed our wine and cheese under the high ceilings of the foyer with its warm lighting and comfortable seating. With the good wifi connection that is provided we played our music via our laptop and the setting was as comfortable as a luxury hotel. Outside, the pool area provides seclusion and intimacy without having to sacrifice location to achieve this. The neighborhood is quiet and close to everything you could possibly need. At no point during our stay did we hear anything other than the breeze among the palms and the ocean waves in the distance....or our own laughter. This is not always the case with other homes. Sometimes you learn the hard way that the neighbors are loud, or you feel so close to another home that you worry your vacation banter will bother someone sleeping. It was easy to relax poolside with drinks or meals at any hours we pleased. The beach was ours. We owned our section of sand and we set up our spot each morning with chairs and umbrellas and took them in at sunset. We never once were bothered or felt uncomfortable leaving our personal belongings out there. It's very tranquil with only a few friendly people passing by throughout the day. If swimming in the ocean is a concern, you can setup a little further south and there is a lifeguard on duty (I walked down each morning to say hello and check the water conditions and tides. Great information to have!). As for Maria and Bob, they're wonderful and there if you need them. They and their home earned my review and our five stars, but notice how many amazing reviews they have already earned. I highly doubt anyone could find a rental home that comes with such validation. We will stay here again...and again, hopefully! Cheers!

My large family just spent a great week relaxing in this wonderful home and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay. The home is beautiful and spacious. It has all the amenities you could want. Everything was in perfect working order and the owners (Maria and her husband) are great folks to deal with. The house is very private and the beach is just a short path away. Most days we practically had the beach all to ourselves (it's very relaxing not having to deal with crowds of people!). We do the treck down to Florida each year and have stayed in some great homes through the years, This one definitely ranks as one of the best overall. A big thanks to Maria for allowing us to stay here!!!

EVEN THOUGH THE WEATHER IN CHICAGO WAS WARM THIS PAST WINTER WE WOULD NOT HAVE MISSED COMING DOWN TO OUR "HOME" IN VERO. MARIA AND BOB WERE THE BEST AS USUAL AS WERE THEIR WONDERFUL CLEANING STAFF (JOLANDA AND ADRIANNA) WE CAN'T IMAGINE GOING ANYWHERE ELSE TO STAY. WE HAVE MADE MANY LONG TERM FRIENDSHIPS WITH NEIGHBORS ON SURF LANE AND WITH BOB AND MARIA FOREVER. LOOKING FORWARD TO JANUARY TO SEE EVERYONE.

Three Years in a Row, Still a Thrill!

Our two young sons wanted to return to "Maria's house"; how could we say no. The house is beautiful, immaculately kept, and located on a quiet residential street so you can have a truly relaxing vacation. The beach is right there and the landscaping alone makes it feel like paradise. Bob and Maria are wonderful hosts. We'll be back!

The Best Vacation EVER!!

Our family spent two weeks at this home this past summer. It was the most fun and relaxing vacaton we have ever had. The house is located in Vero Beach literally steps away from the beach. There are many nearby grocery stores, malls, outlet stores etc. The pictures shown on this website DO NOT do the house justice. This home is even more BEAUTIFUL in person. This house is stunning from the inside and out with a great pool, landscaping and beautiful art pieces--many painted by Maria's mom. The house was very clean, comfortable and well maintained. It was extremely comforting to know that the house is Category 4 hurricane proof! The owners, Bob and Maria are two of the nicest people we have ever met. They were extremely knowledgable and hospitable. It was a pleasure meeting them and some of their family members. Although there was plenty to do at the house (i.e. bikes, kayaks, boat trips etc.) there are so many near by activities you can do as well. Bob took us on a boat trip one day and the kids were able to fish and swim, they had the best time. We were also able to do many day trips such as Sea Word, Universal, Andretti thrill park etc. I would absolutely recommend this home to anyone who wants to have a fun and relaxing vacation! We hope to one day be able to stay at this home again. Thanks for the wonderful hospitality and the great memories!

Great Family Fun

We had a great time at this property. The house was very comfortable, and of perfect size for our family of five. The pool/backyard setting was perfect as well. The beach is so close, just a short walk down a little path. Quiet and clean beach, beautiful water. All the umbrellas, boogie boards, beach chairs, etc you need are right there. NIce little outdoor showers for showering off the sand are in the backyard, too. The kids enjoyed seeing lots of lizards, and land crabs (big and dark blue-gray), and even bunnies, lots of bunnies! We took the boat trip with Bob & Maria, and that was very enjoyable. A must-do if you stay at this property.

Maria and Bob made our stay as welcome as you would if you had family you liked staying with you. The house was beautiful, with lush tropical plants and privacy all around the outside pool. The home was immaculate and the setting was peaceful and about 30 seconds from the beach along a private walkway. Everything was perfect. The home included everything you needed for the beach. Bikes for riding along the private roads in Vero , floats for the ocean and pool, kayaks , beach chairs and things you always forget to bring. This was a most perfect vacation complete with the information about places to eat and golf. Thank you Bob and Maria for a perfect vacation. Carl & Tami

Great Memories in Florida!!!

My Husband, 1-year old daughter and I stayed at this beach house in April 2011. We were so fortunate to stay for the entire month. What a wonderful retreat. We actually have family in Florida so it was the perfect location to throw a birthday party for our toddler who turned one during our stay. The owners were so wonderful and warm and available any time we had a need arise. They provided not only a crib but a high chair as well. Being able to go between the pool at the house and 50 steps to the beach at our leisure was a wonderful option with a toddler. I highly recommend this property for those looking to experience a beach community getaway. Thank you Maria & Bob- we hope to be back in Vero some day.

Another wonderful winter

This was our second 3 month rental at this home in the winter. Just can't get any better than this. We have already rented for next year and can't imagine going anywhere else. Perfect home owners, perfect cleaning staff and perfect weather. Bob and Maria are just the best ever. We look forward to another great winter next year. It's hard to leave and we can't wait for January to come to get back.

We are from Colorado and wanted beach and pool. The beach was fifty steps, and the pool three, out any door of this wonderful private home. This house was lovely and easily accomodated my family of eight on our vacation. A nice ranch style set up, this house allows for easy access to the pool from all rooms, wonderful greenery and feels like your own private resort. The house has every ammenity imaginable, and the owners are sooooo wonderful and accomodating. We had a tough time leaving, and wanted to move in.....I guess we will have to settle for a speedy return....... We will definitely be back and rent from the same owner again. We can't say enough good things.

Wonderful experience

What can we say? We have been renting homes all around the country through VRBO for many years and this home goes right to the top of our list! The home is beautiful - plenty of room, furnished with many great momentos from Bob and maria's travels and beautiful art pieces painted by Maria's mother Flo. The grounds are private and surrounded by well tended foliage - the veranda (where we spent much of our time for morning coffee and evening meals fixed on the easy to use gas barbecue) has lots of comfortable sturdy outdoor furniture. The welcoming beach is literally 30 seconds out the back door! And an evening stroll wading in the warm surf with the nearly full moon shining has created a memory for us we'll never forget! Captain Bob couldn't have been a better captain on our tour of the intracoastal waterway. Learned much about the areas history and we did find the sometimes elusive manatee that Jan went swimming with.....then we moved to the dolphin show in the lagoon - and what a show it was. Bob said he found them especially for us but somehow I think he does the same for all their guests. If I sound effusive it's because I fully intend to be. This was one of the best experiences we've had and want to thank Maria for her gentle smiling kindness, Bob for his warmth and equally gentle spirit, and Flo for letting Jan share conversations in Spanish. Highest recommendations from us - if you go you can't possibly be disappointed in any way. 10 out of 10 from us!

Inflatable Beach Ball $2.99 Fresh Ahi Tuna for 6 $34.72 A vacation in this house Priceless Our 3 generation family has vacationed together every summer for 18 years – our little boys are now young professionals. We all agree this was the best one yet. The house is amazing – but the outside space is even better. The sparkling pool is in the sun all day and the well furnished lanai is always shaded. The beach is steps away and unbelievably quiet. You are close to everything, but the property is very private. We had always rented a vacation home through an agency and were a bit concerned about renting directly from owners. Our experience with Maria and Bob has taught us otherwise. The house is so much nicer and cleaner than any property we had ever rented. Maria and Bob are grand hosts and the property is even better than advertised. Choose this house for your next vacation – you will be glad you did. We were.

Sommerurlaub am Atlantik von Florida in Vero Beach

Mit 4 Erwachsenen und 4 Jugendlichen verbrachten wir 3 Wochen im Ferienhaus von Maria und Bob in Vero Beach – ein unvergesslicher Urlaub! Die Buchung über FeWo-direkt funktionierte schnell und problemlos. Wir hatten nach kurzer Zeit direkten Mail-Kontakt zu den Besitzern Maria und Bob, die uns zuvorkommend und geduldig all unsere Fragen beantworteten und uns auch während des Urlaubs mit vielen Tipps unterstützten. Das Ferienhaus toppte alle Erwartungen. Es entsprach in allem der Internetbeschreibung und bot zusätzlich eine wunderschön begrünte Gartenanlage mit Feigenbäumen, Bananenstauden u.ä.. Alle Dinge, die man für einen Standurlaub im Sommer (30-32°C) benötigt (Sonnenschirme, Strandstühle, Mini-Surfboards, Grill, Handtücher, Außendusche, Pool, schöne Terrasse mit Ventilatoren und und und) waren in dem liebevoll ausgestatteten Haus vorhanden. Auf einem schön bewachsenen Privatzugang (50m) gelangten wir zum fast leeren Strand, an dem wir auch unsere Abende verbrachten. Tatsächlich konnten wir dabei mehrfach die Meeresschildkröten beobachten, die zur Eiablage an den Strand kamen – unvergesslich! Der Ort Vero Beach ist eine wunderschöne Stadt (ca. 20000 Einwohner) mit guten Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants für jeden Geldbeutel. Cape Caneveral und Orlando sind in erreichbarer Nähe, Fort Pierce am Indian River (30 Autominuten) bietet weitere Freizeitaktivitäten (Bootsausflüge, Kajaks und Kanus usw.) Fazit: Ein wunderbarer Urlaub in einem wunderschönen und vollständig ausgestatteten Ferienhaus direkt am Strand mit vielen Ausflugs- und Freizeitmöglichkeiten. Wir kommen wieder!

The house is beautiful with a great location

We spent a week in this beautiful house and counldn't have been happier. The house is terrific and very well set up for a relaxing week at the beach. Almost every room offers outdoor access, with most opening out to the pretty pool area. It is a very short and easy walk to a beautiful beach, that was virtually deserted. The house was very well equipped and the accommodations were comfortable. Our family includes 7 adults but we all had plenty of room to spread out in the house and pool area. Vero Beach is a great town to vacation in with enough restaurants and attractions to keep you happy while also being very low key and without crowds. We would particularly recommend a sunset dinner or drinks on the deck at Waldo's, overlooking the ocean. Maria and Bob, the owners are very gracious and accommodating people and couldn't have been easier to work with.

Our family spent a week in this beautiful house. We wish that we could have stayed longer. Our expectations were high...and we were delighted in many ways that exceeded our expectations. The home is both elegant and comfortable. Vero Beach is beautiful, the town is charming, and there are interesting attractions nearby. Our hosts were very accommodating. (We would like to give them credit for perfect weather and even a shuttle launch while we were there.) We espectially like the orientation of the house - the pool is sunny and the patio is shady. With the tropical plants, you know you are in paradise. We had a delighful meal at The Lobster Shanty. The Treasure Museum is very small, but the movie inspired us to keep our eyes opened for dabloons in the sand. We didn't take home any pirate treasures, but we do "treasure the memories" of our week on Surf Lane.

We LOVE this house! My wife and I spent a week here with our two young children just before Christmas. We've rented many times in the past and have always had good experiences. However, this property must be singled out for its excellence in every way. The house is simply beautiful, the architecture and interior design alone is enough to make you want to stay. The home was spotless and was stocked with everything we needed. The beach was only 100 steps away which made life easy for us and the kids. Maria and Bob were very kind and generous. They clearly care about the property and their guests. We are planning to come again with our relatives....but we may just decide to have it to ourselves again! If you want to relax and feel like you are in paradise, this is the place.

Our Beautiful Home Away from Home.

We spent 3 months this winter at this beautiful home. It was true paradise. The beach is literally out your door and very private. The neighborhood is peaceful and the neighbors are very friendly. Many fine restaurants and shopping a short distance away. Bob and Maria are wonderful people and very accommodating. We feel fortunate to have made their friendship. The cleaning staff were fantastic. We had them weekly and they are reliable, honest and lovely ladies. We have stayed at various homes throughout Florida but this is the BEST!! We have already booked for 3 months next winter and know we will have another wonderful vacation.

Fabulous! First Class! From the moment we arrived we were in paradise. This is an amazing home in a perfect location. The pool, the beach, the house - everything was great! We truly felt at home and had everything we could possibly need. The hospitality of the owners made this a very enjoyable stay and we hope to return again soon!

This house and property is absolutely beautiful. The house is clean, comfortable, modern, and fully equipped. We spent many nights sitting by the pool eating dinner and enjoying the beautiful garden. The beach is gorgeous, and we were surprised at how short the "short walk" was. Thank you for allowing us to use your beautiful home; we could have stayed there forever. I will be contacting you in the future to set up another vacation.

This is a great house in wonderful location. The house is nearly new, clean and in an ultra safe neighborhood with a great un-crowded beach just out of the back door as well as fresh fruit growing in the yard. We bicycled (on bicycle paths) from the house for many miles just for enjoyment as well as to restaurants, shops. Our three weeks passed far to quickly but we will return soon.

This house is extremely clean and comfortable. The backyard pool area is beautiful and very relaxing. We enjoyed eating most of our meals outside. I also enjoyed being able to walk to the beach in bare feet. The beach is private and beautiful. I so enjoyed my stay; I wish I could have stayed longer. I highly recommend this beautiful house; many thanks to the owner for allowing us to vacation here!

What an AMAZING getaway Myself and my family spent a week at this beautiful property, all we can say is WOW!!! The location is perfectly set in a small town feel "getaway" community. We spent countless hours on the beach with hardly a soul in sight. Exactly what we wanted, a getaway close enough to convienence but not with a "touristy" feel. We have teenagers as well as a 3 yr old and everything from the relaxing pool to the accomadations was ideal. We could not thank Andrew and Maria enough for making us feel at home. We enjoyed everything from a dolphin cruise, day trip to Orlando to airboating and lets not forget just sitting around relaxing reading a book enjoying the ideal surroundings with the serenity of the waves crashing ashore. I would highy recommend this home to anyone wanting a truley layed back experience. Once again, thank you Andrew and Maria for a memorable experience we have been all over the states as well as abroad and this is one we will not forget!!!
