  Hi Rob. Well, we are home after a wonderful week in Maui. It's 10 degrees out, about a 70 degree temperature drop from when we left Maui. Tomorrow it's supposed to be below zero. I wish we were back. Anyway, we wanted to thank you. The condo was lovely--perfectly located--great beach, restaurant, etc. We had wonderful whale watching experiences and the tip sheet your wife included was very helpful. We even survived the road to Hana--quite an experience! So thank you so very much. It was a pleasure working with you.

  My wife, daughter (1.5 yr old toddler), and mother-in-law stayed in unit 353 and loved the condo. It is a corner unit on the third floor with partial ocean views. The remodeling is very nice and makes a great base for enjoying the resort and surrounding area. It was very easy to arrange the rental with Rob and we had no problems during our stay. My only issue was that the master bed has a very soft mattress, which isn't what I normally like. So, if you also prefer a firm mattress, then be forewarned and make sure to inquire about the mattress wherever you choose to rent. (FYI - the mattresses on the 2 single beds in the 2nd bedroom were firm and comfortable.) Some things we enjoyed nearby: - snorkeling at Honolua Bay (mile marker 33) - snorkeling at long beach (mile marker 14)... go far out (500+ yards) and you may see turtles, rays, or even sharks - Warren & Annabelle's Magic Show (book before you leave home because they sell out fast. Only book the show, not the dinner. And, most importantly, wear warm clothes because they crank up the A/C so its very cold in the theater... and I'm Canadian and used to the cold!) - have a traditional Hawaii dinner at Aloha Mixed Plate, next to the Old Lahaina Luau on Front Street. The food is inexpensive and if its busy you can get take-out in 15 minutes. It was a $65 dinner for 3 people with 2 mai tais and tip (and we even had left-overs). Have fun!

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children, sightseeing.

  Owner response: The Master bedroom has a California King Bed that all of my guests have enjoyed without complaint and is really not too soft or too firm

  Hi Robert, I just wanted to let you know that we were the envy of all the other family members that had booked accommodation at the Ka’anapali Shores as our room was by far the nicest. Yes, they were very jealous of our room. So many nice things that made the stay enjoyable including most comfortable beds, bedding etc. The floor to ceiling window in the master bedroom was a treat and no surprise I could hardly get my mom to leave. She was very content looking at the view and enjoying the breeze. I loved the kitchen too. Truly heaven and thank you for sharing your slice of it with us. What a great place!!

  Our 1st trip to Maui and truly Rob's place was everything I'd imagined and more. Views from the bedroom and living room were spectacular. The location within the Kaanapali Shores was perfect ....just a few steps away from the pool, bar and beach with easy parking in front and close enough to the elevator and in front of stairs to make lugging our bags and groceries a cinch. This should probably be in the1st line of this review (I'm really picky when it comes to bedding)....THE MASTER BED WAS THE MOST COMFORTABLE BED I HAVE EVER SLEPT IN!!! I didn't want to leave...not just because I was in Maui but because this rental was just simply that good and so comfortable! Thank you again....would stay here again in a heartbeat!

  Hi Rob, I will post on VRBO as well, but just wanted to take a minute to let you know how much we enjoyed your condo at Kaanapali Shores. It was beautifully decorated, great appliances, killer view (tons od whale viewings just from the lanai!!), and perfect location. Only complaint is that our time was too short J.   Just came back from a six-night stay in this fabulous condo. It's really nice. Main living area lighter and brighter than pictures. Great views of both the ocean and the pools/garden areas. Easy access from elevator or stairs. Steps to the beach. The owner was very accommodating and made the planning easy - even providing suggestions for where to snorkel, eat, shop, etc. We had five people (3 adults, 2 kids) in the condo and it never felt crowded. The kitchen was well stocked and there was even fresh coffee waiting for us when we arrived. All in all a lovely experience.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

  Hi Rob Just recently arrived home from our trip . Sad to see the end of a trip that was SO much fun and so long in the planning. Your place was terrific. The apartment was great and so comfortable.   Rob, I just wanted to drop you a note to tell you how much we enjoyed staying at your condo in Maui in early December. The pictures on the web site were very accurate. What we saw is what we got. The bedding and towels are top quality and were much enjoyed by us. We loved the view of the ocean as well as the beautiful resort grounds from the lanai. It took me about a week before I finally figured out what the stepping stones in the grass below represented. The weather was great and the location of the condo was very convenient for walking to nearby stores or for driving to the Whalers Village or into Lahaina. We would most definitely try to stay at your condo again if/when we come back to Maui. Terry Collins
