My family loved everything about our stay. The Villa offered the perfect combination of comfort, charm and elegance. Centrally located, we were able to take day trips to ancient hill towns, stunning beaches and roman ruins. We were close to villages with good places to eat, though we often opted to cook and eat at the Villa because the kitchen was so well equipped and the dining areas (both indoors and out) so inviting. My daughters tell me that the Villa was their favorite place we stayed!

Our favorite accommodation during our 3-week trip of central Europe was Villa Lola. The furnishings are high quality and done with an artistic flair and the home was spacious for parents and two teens. We cooked our dinners on the gas grill, ate outside in the courtyard, and enjoyed the kiwi vines and Mediterranean landscaping. It was helpful to have a washing machine. There is a well-stocked grocery store a short drive away. The owners were on-site in their home and were very helpful.

We stayed at the Villa Lola for 2 weeks in August 2009, the weather was wonderful for the entire stay which helped make our stay one to remember for all the right reasons. The owners met us on arrival and were very welcoming, showing us around the Villa and generally making us feel at home. This was a welcome touch as it ensured our holiday started right away with no fuss. The Villa was lovely, tastefully furnished and finished to a high standard with thoughtful details such as mosquito mesh on all windows and doors (although mosquito's weren't a problem) and lovely crisp white sheets & duvets in the bedrooms and fluffy towels in the bathroom. there was air conditioning upstairs which was sufficient for the whole villa to keep cool during the hot daytime hours and warm evenings. Outside there was a shaded dining area and a gas barbeque for dining al fresco which is highly recommended . The location is ideal for the road into Vrsar for the beaches and main town and also for trips further afield. The main towns and cities you would wish to visit in Istria are all within driving distance. There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance and plenty more choice within a short drive. It is essential to have a car unless you intend on staying at the villa. There is car parking at the Villa. We would have liked a TV for those nights when we fancied a night in after a long day at the beach or site seeing and a coffee pot for fresh coffee. Neither of these distracted from a lovely holiday at the Villa which I would highly recommend, we would certainly stay again!

The Villa Lola is a wonderful place to enjoy Istria. On our vacation we were warmly welcomed by the owner who gave us a lot of helpfull information during our stay. The furnishing and decoration of the house are first class! Everything in this cottage has been restored and the appliances, cookware, bedding, was very high quality. The access to Vrsar and restaurants is easy. It's also not far from Porec and Rovinj where we enjoyed great sightseeing and restaurants. Nearest beaches are only five minutes away, and it's easy to find private areas if you're willing to go a bit further. We also enjoyed a few meals at the cottage where you have everything to have a great evening. I highly recommend this villa if you're looking for a calm place to spend a relaxing holiday.
