The Spa on Port Royal Sound is a beachside resort with all the amenities vacationers expect. When you join us, you'll have your own quiet, secluded beach and observation pier. You'll have two outdoor pools (each with restrooms), one indoor pool, a relaxing whirlpool and fitness room. There are 3 tennis courts that meet USTA standards, a basketball court and a playground for the kids. Use our charcoal grills and enjoy a picnic by the beach. The Spa provides free WI-FI at all 3 pool areas.
UPDATED VILLA: features tile floors in the kitchen and baths, new wood floors in the LR/DR areas, FREE WI-FI, Flat Screen TV with an HDMI cable. Now you can stream movies from your Netflix or Amazon accounts. The kitchen has updated appliances, large microwave, and a new dishwasher. Adjoining the kitchen is our laundry room with new, full sized washer and dryer for your use. The living room is comfy and the tiled & screened deck provides views of the lagoon and Sound. We provide CATV, DVD, books and games.
LOVE TO COOK? Your kitchen is stocked with all the
utensils, pans, bake-ware and casserole dishes you'll need to prepare a great meal 'at home'. Clean up is a snap with our brand new dishwasher. Afterwards, relax with coffee or after dinner drinks on the screened in deck.
BEDROOMS: When it is time to 'call it a night', you'll have two bedrooms and two full baths at your disposal. The Master bedroom comes with a comfy King-size bed with loads of room to stretch out in and its own private full bath. The guest room has two twins (can be converted to King at your request) and its own private full bath as well! The sleeper sofa in the living room provides you with the extra sleeping room you may need. We supply all the sheets and towels.
LOCATION: Your Villa is located in one of the 2 buildings closest to the beach. The Spa on Port Royal Sound has a unique beach that is calmer than the crashing waves at other beaches on the island. Perfect for small children to play in while they collect shells and build castles in the sand. Great for peaceful morning or evening strolls, a brisk jog, or even a bike ride with none of the hustle and bustle of crowds. The crashing waves are just a short drive from your vacation villa should you desire. We provide beach towels, beach chairs, an umbrella, cooler and beach toys for your use.
GOLF ANYONE? You are just minutes away from numerous golf courses that players of all ability can enjoy. There are 20 public courses nearby with 13 on the Island.
NATURE LOVERS...bring your camera. Your villa at the Spa is located between public parkland and a wildlife preserve on the northern end of Hilton Head Island. This habitat is perfect for a variety of shore birds and wild life of all sizes. Watch dolphins play in the sound or dig for clams at low tide. Right next to us is the Fish Haul Creek Park, a bird sanctuary. Here you'll be able to walk a trail through live oaks and go out on the boardwalk to the observation deck over the marsh.
BIKING is very popular on Hilton Head Island. The Spa directly connects to the miles of tree lined bike paths that cover most of the Island. May we suggest that you leave your fancy bikes at home and take advantage of the many bike rentals available on the island. These bikes are designed to be tough and are perfect for the mostly flat bike paths or for a ride on the beach.
WATER SPORTS: Hilton Head offers the best of off-shore fishing and crabbing. The Island offers a variety of water sports including kayaking, sailing, parasailing and jet skiing.
Hilton Head Island boasts many fine restaurants and wonderful discount shopping.

We enjoyed the condo at the spa. It was very clean and included everything we needed for our stay, In addition, the price was quite reasonable. The owners were especially accommodating, answering questions and checking in with us via e-mail when we arrived and again when we left. The complex itself is a little run down, although the property managers and guards were kind and helpful. The beach was not a miles-long sandy, white expanse but a secluded nature preserve. We enjoyed our stunning sunrise walks and saw herons, sandpipers and other birds. One local told us there are a pair of bald eagles out there too. We saw horseshoe crabs, sting rays and lots of fiddler crabs running around. We even met a dog that likes to dig up larger crabs on the beach and "rescue" them by putting them back in the water while trying not to get pinched by the crabs. We loved that the condo was out of the way from the rest of the island and learned more about the Gullah culture in Mitchellville just outside the property. The owners also provided us with bike rental information, so we spent a day biking the island and exploring the many parks and pathways to the beach.Did you find this review helpful? Clean, Cozy and Comfortable says it all. Everything you need for a great relaxing vacation is in this unit. When it's nice you can walk the natural beach or go to Haul Fish Park across the road. If it rains there are books and vidieos to provide intertainment. Eat out or if you cook in the kitchen is equiped with everthing you need. We stayed at the villa the first week in August. The villa felt like home from the moment we walked in. It was very clean and had everything we needed from beach chairs, beach towels, dvds, and books to a fully equiped kitchen. The beds were very comfortable and it was so relaxing to listen to the lagoon outside the window as we fell asleep. The location was great, close to a wide variety of resturants, shopping and public beaches. We enjoyed the natural beach, which was just steps away from the villa. The owners were excellent from the first e-mail to check availability and the last to tell them of our stay. We cannot wait to come back next year!Did you find this review helpful? We had such a wonderful time in this beautiful and clean condo. We spent our mornings biking on 3 rented tandem bikes and the afternoons swimming in the 3 pools and the evenings enjoying the wildlife along the beach. Such beautiful sunsets, in such a great location. The kitchen is well equipped with anything needed to cook for my 4 children. The beach towels and beach chairs were provided and so appreciated. This is one of the cleanest and well maintained condos that we have ever stayed at and we are looking forward to returning.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway.

We loved the unit- it had so many extra special touches- beach towels, chairs, umbrella. The bed was super comfy and the screened in porch overlooking the lagoon was very peaceful. The TLC was evident in all the amenities in the unit- loved the books, videos, games, etc. We did not care for the "private beach"- it was nice to look and suitable for fishing and small children but not the typical long, snady beach. The Condo was great, well stocked - we made fabulous meals in addition to taking advantage of some of Hilton head's restaurants. The condo was also in a great location - tucked away in a quiet place. Our children enjoyed playing and exploring along the Port Royal Sound in addition to playing in the pools.Recommended for: Girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.

The rooms, availability of a full kitchen and laundry were perfect for a family stay. The cost was very reasonable. The location, with a view and 30 second walk to the beach was awesome. The pictures are completely accurate - it is comfy! The owners were helpful and answered our questions quickly. I recommend this rental for families, and for girlfriends looking for a peaceful getaway! We also enjoyed miniature golf, and eating at the Crazy Crab. Yum!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway.

We came to Hilton Head for a family wedding. This villa was just what we were looking for: comfortable, clean, affordable and convenient. The pictures and descriptions represented the condo accurately. Our favorite feature though was the private beach just steps away. We spent every morning and every evening there. It was a nice change from the more crowded public beaches on the island. The owners were very gracious and helpful throughout. We would definitely stay here again.Owner response: We're glad that our condo met your needs. Your favorite spot...the private beach...is our favorite spot as well. Hilton Head is beautiful, but the peace and quiet we have at our private beach is priceless!

About the owner: We hail from upstate New York and raised three sons on our family owned Christmas Tree Farm. We enjoy outdoor activities and always vacationed at beaches up and down the East Coast. With the college years almost behind us, thoughts of doing something special for ourselves began to pop into our heads. What better way to enjoy our free time (and retirement?) than at the beach?
Why the Owner Chose Spa on Port Royal Sound:
We purchased our second home on Hilton Head Island because of its history, natural beauty and pristine beaches. We also appreciate the Town of Hilton Head's decision to ban bright lights and bold advertising signs. The shopping malls and stores are all concealed by natural plantings of shrubs, live oaks and palmetto trees. It is also one of the few places we know of with a commitment to replenishing the beaches on a regular basis. We're nature lovers, and nature is everywhere on Hilton Head Island. We are only 45 minutes away from Historic Savannah and 2 hours away from Charleston. We are never at a loss for things to do here!
