Take a great family lake vacation in spectacular Eagles Mere, Pennsylvania. You and the kids will enjoy the swimming from sandy lake beach with lifeguard. Or get out on the water in a Sunfish, paddle boat or canoe. Play tennis or golf or go fishing, hiking, bicycling and much more. It's close to Philadelphia, Washington, Baltimore and New York, but it's far away from the noise, the heat and the tackiness of most vacation spots.
Eagles Mere is a great place for a vacation, and there are many activities for the kids and the adults. Every day during the summer there are organized games for the kids like soccer, capture the flag, kickball, nature walks and more.
And if mom or dad has to do some work, use our high speed wireless internet from the deck or anywhere in the home.
Enjoy dinner on the outdoor deck using the gas grill while watching gorgeous sunsets with a wonderful mountain view. Or cook in the fully equipped kitchen. Or dine in one of several local restaurants.
And of course, there is the beautiful Eagles Mere lake, with a sandy beach, beach toys, sand castles, boat rentals and fishing.
There is great hiking in the Fall and Spring and spectacular Fall foliage views. In the winter, there is ice skating on the pond, cross country skiing, sledding and the famous toboggan slide.
There is great hiking nearby in Ricketts Glen State Park, home to the famous Falls Trail. Great day trips to the Corning Museum of Glass, the Cooperstown Baseball Hall of Fame and more.

Our stay in Eagle's Mere was wonderful. In late August, the days were warm and the nights a little cool. We walked the trail around Eagle's Mere lake, visited the waterfalls in Ricketts Glen and hiked down to the Haystacks on the Loyalsock Creek. Also spent a day at Knoebels, a gem of an amusement park in Elysbury, Pa. The house was very comfortable and the kitchen was well appointed. We had room to spread out and were able to enjoy the lovely sunsets and do some star gazing as well. The homeowners were accomodating and extremely attentive. We would recommend this rental property to friends.

We enjoyed our weekend at this vacation home. There were three couples and two children. The children had a bedroom and the adults each had a bedroom with their own bath. Linens and towels are provided so there was one less thing to pack. It was centrally located for us as we wanted to visit World's End State Park, Laporte, Dushore and High Knob Inn for pizza. Had dinner at Eagles Mere Inn which is less than a mile from the rental. Dinner was excellent. The owner of the property was great to deal with and has an awesome website with all types of activities. Hopefully we will be able to return soon. We highly recommend this rental.

The summer months have activities for the kids each morning at the field across from the beach. There's nothing like it that we've seen anywhere, which is one reason we bought the house. I stayed in this house for two and a half weeks. It was very nice and our family had a lot of fun! We would recommend it to anyone.

The house was wonderful and really affordable. Great location with scenic view. Having a well stocked kitchen was an added benefit, as well as having plenty of towels and bed linens. Owner is easily accessible by phone and e-mail if needed. Definitely would stay there again and recommend to friends.

We liked Eagles Mere, loved the beautiful sunsets viewed from many areas of the home, the space to be together but not on top of each other, the well stocked kitchen, the pingpong table, not having to bring our own towels and sheets, and the 3 tables so we could leave out games and puzzles over a couple of days and still have a table to eat on.

House was in a very peaceful, quiet town. Perfect for family getaways. Kitchen had everything you would need (but make sure you shop beforehand!). Ping Pong table was great. Highly recommended!
