What fun to pull up to this magnificent building, and then to open the door to this luxurious and immaculate condo! My husband and I continue to talk about our wonderful vacation - thanks to staying at this unique VRBO condo. The owner's exquisite taste in furnishings and decor is apparent throughout the unit, and we loved the convenience of retail stores, art galleries and bistros located just one floor below. The sprawling grounds feature interesting architecture (including re-purposed buildings that house a fire-oven bakery and a cheesecake shop), plus tree-lined paths for long, leisurely walks. Annie, our gracious hostess, was quick to answer questions via phone and email, and the unit included travel literature and maps that made exploring the area incredibly easy. We will remember this location as one of our most unique vacation experiences ever, and enthusiastically recommend this VRBO condo for those looking for a unit filled with history and good taste.

What a treat to spend a night in your gorgeous condo! My sister, mom and I enjoyed every minute. The space is truly breathtaking and your interior design is so welcoming and soothing. Mmmmmm. Wish I was back there sleeping in that outrageously comfy bed again! Thank you so much.
Owner response:You are so sweet, Nini!!! Thank you for the great review. I really appreciate it and am so glad you enjoyed it!! xoxo-Annie

Thank you so much for allowing us to enjoy your condo last week. We had the best time. I grew up in a spotless house and most places we've rented may say they are clean but don't match what I am used to. Your condo was so clean and so comfortable. I felt relaxed and rejuvenated after our stay. I never slept on a feather bed before. Oh my gosh, it is fabulous. I don't have any problems sleeping but I found I didn't move around much a night and it felt so incredible. The Grand Traverse Commons is such a special environment. We enjoyed going to the bakery across the street and checking out the other shops on the ground floor from the condo. I look forward to another stay in the future. Thanks again for everything.

We came to this condo after two nights on Mackinac Island. The condo is in a wonderful park like setting with trees and rolling green grass. The building is restored to perfection with soaring 16' ceilings, wide halls, and beautiful large windows. The layout was perfect for two couples with bedrooms at opposite ends each with a private full bath. It has all the amenities you want and then some. The decor is beautiful and they have literally thought of EVERYTHING when designing and furnishing this unit. The location is close to town and has many wonderful shops and eateries on the premises. It is very secure and the owner was attentive to our needs and provided great communication. We look forward to renting this unit again and also want to find an excuse to rent their Nantucket home that looks to-die for too! You won't be disappointed with this one!

I stayed here with my wife, our 9-month-old baby, my sister and brother-in-law, and there 2-month-old baby. The condo is full of gorgeous modern design touches. It was a very elegant place to stay. We made it work out pretty well for the 4 adults and 2 babies. And the living room was a comfortable spot for other family members to come and visit with the babies.

My two daughters and I stayed in this beautiful condo for several days in August. We kept commenting on how everything we could think of was already there. The furnishings are truly lovely. We especially liked the tall ceilings and windows. Had we wanted, we could have spend the entire week right in the Village, as it had everything you could want, from shops to restaurants and a beauty salon upstairs. We would definitely make a return visit!

Suite 204...Village at Grand Traverse Commons

We rented the condo for a week at the 4th of July (2010) and were more than pleasantly surprised when we walked in the door. Being a designer myself, I totally loved the retro, very modern decor, the lush bed linens and plush mattresses, the kitchen facilities and great master bath. We also loved the development, Grand Traverse Commons, maybe the largest renovation project in the U.S. There were many charming shops on the first floor along with two restaurants that we loved...Stella's (Italian), and Tastes (owned by one of the local wineries) kind of a do-it-yourself meat/cheese/chocolate fondue fun dinner. It was very close to anything one would want to do in the downtown and on the lake and within an hour of the Sleeping Bear Dunes and other small lake towns. Also minutes from the Mission Peninsula with at least four fabulous restaurants. All in all, a great experience. Only down side was not being able to get on-line the last two days which I know the owners have remedied.

I was very happy to stay at this well appointed and very comfortable apartment in Traverse City. It was close to town but not too close, and within striking distance of many places I needed to be. I really enjoyed being in Grand Traverse Commons. The apartment itself was outfitted with extremely comfortable beds, linens and towels, which is important to me, and the kitchen and bathrooms were tastefully done.

I returned to Suite 204 after a fabulous family stay in March for a long weekend with my college girlfriends and once again had an amazing time. The location of the condo within Grand Traverse Commons is unique in it's historic surroundings and convenient with easy access to shops and dining. We would go downstairs every morning to pick up freshly baked scones and bagels and then take them back up to the luxury of Suite 204. The suite is spacious, has every modern convenience and I must say, the best beds on the planet!!! It's a 15 minute walk past historic 6th street to downtown Traverse City where world class restaurants and a plethora of boutiques await your discovery. Suite 204 is convenient to the wineries of the beautiful Leelanau Peninsula and the quaint villages that dot the countryside. Spending the day exploring this delightful region and then returning to the comfort and luxury of your own spacious condo is my idea of a perfect vacation.

Lovely condo and great get away! The complex has so much to offer from wonderful coffee shops, restaurants, wine tasting rooms, and boutiques. There was a farmers market with great finds on the lower level on Saturday-extra bonus! We would highly recommend this condo for anyone looking for a beautiful convenient getaway to the amazing Traverse City. We look forward to making this a yearly tradition and hope to stay here again...
