Awesome condo close to everything

We actually stayed here last year and are looking for a place to go this year so I came back and realized we hadn't written a review. The owners were extremely helpful and accommodating. The condo was immaculate and the bed was super comfortable. We walked a couple of blocks to Temple Square as well as Energy Solutions Arena and had everything we needed within walking distance. Quiet, comfortable, clean, friendly. What more could you need?

Wow what a place ... The review say it all, it is a bit urban for SLC but maybe that's cause I thought more quaint with the pics.. Total city vibe... Taking it every chance I get...

convenient downtown location, temporary noise problem due to construction

Stayed here for 4 nights for a mother/daughter trip at the end of March. The central downtown location served as a great home base for us while we were apartment hunting as it is a short drive to the University of Utah Hospitals and neighborhoods like the Avenues and Sugar-house. Both the bed and couch are comfortable for sleeping. The only downside to this condo is it is a little bit noisy. There is current construction next door during the day, where a new condo is being built and there is a gas station on the other side that is sometimes noisy at night with people driving up to get gas blaring their car radio. This is really only a minor issue, it did not keep me from getting a good night's rest, just thought people should know what to expect. Overall the condo was beautiful and a great deal for the location. You could walk to some places downtown, but a car would be recommended especially since it's such a short drive to Park City (30-40 minutes) for world-class skiing! Wi-fi internet had a strong signal and worked well.

We had a wonderful time while staying at this condo. It is so close to everything! It is in walking distance of Temple Square, The Mall, and the Energy Solutions Arena. The condo was perfect for our little family. Paying was easy- we will defnitely try to book it again when we go to Salt Lake. Thanks again for a memorable time.

Hip and Trendy, Best location

I was able to stay at this condo for 3 nights and was totally impressed. If you like the idea of a historic building with all of the modern ammenities, this is the place. So so much better than staying at a hotel. It is located justa block from Temple Square and 2 blocks from Energy Solutions center, where I caught a Jazz game. It was so convenient to be able to walk to everything and leave the car and the headaches behind. There is a ton of construction happening on the south side of the Temple right now, and it will probably be nice when it is all done, but it was a joy to be on the opposite side of all of that and enjoy the peace and quiet. The bedroom is in the rear of the unit and is actually very serene. The kitchen is well stocked and very hip. And the jacuzzi bath was very elegant and a nice touch. If I lived in SLC, I would like to live in a place like this. Is it for sale?

I was ready to book a hotel when I checked VRBO and found this gem. The first thing is Convenience with a capital C! Easy walk to Temple Square, the Gateway shopping complex, the Family History Library, and everything else downtown Salt Lake has to offer. (Lots of construction going on right now, summer of 2010.) The bus also stops on the block. There is a Maverick gas station/convenience store right next door, though the Maverick is short on healthy food. It's an easy drive to a couple of Smiths (local grocery chain) and Whole Foods. Next, grooviness and cleanliness! This is an old brick apartment building which has been made over into condos. This one has been remodeled with a lot of elegant modern touches like ambient lighting and red kitchen cabinets and stainless steel countertops as well as fun and funky features like the driftwood lamps. Everything was spotless. Other great features: Queen size bed with Tempur-Pedic mattress, LCD TV with DirecTV satellite, gated off street parking, marble and tile bathroom with jetted tub and rain shower, and strong reliable WiFi. My only caveat: This is downtown in a large city, so there is a lot of street noise, firetruck horns and sirens. If you need silence, probably better to stay somewhere farther from the center of town. The owner was extremely helpful and took my call while he was on his way to Oakland, talked me through finding the keys and stayed on the line until he was sure I was in the house. Can't wait to come back!
