About Our Location:
You will soon see why we fell in love with Fripp Island and our unique location when you look at the aerial photo of our complex! Located in the prestigious Ocean Point area of Fripp Island, our villa is part of The Village of New Haven and is modeled after an actual English Seaside Village. New Haven juts into the Atlantic Ocean and is wrapped on two sides by the ocean. In fact, our special location provides one of the only places on the east coast where you can view both sunrises and sunsets during winter months!
Our complex makes the most of its dramatic natural site with a large "ocean viewing deck" and upland beach, as well as numerous walkways and seating areas which feature stunning ocean views.
In addition to our fabulous natural surroundings, we are located next door to the Ocean Point Pool and just across the street from the Ocean Point Golf Course (George Cobb design) and Ocean Point Grill. Just a short drive from our villa are five additional swimming pools, Ocean Creek Golf Course (Davis Love design), six tennis courts, and a small fitness center. Three-mile long Fripp Island is a designated "nature sanctuary". It has many natural bike and walking paths with expansive views of surrounding tidal marsh, lagoons, and best of all, the Atlantic Ocean!
About The Owners:
Our names are Plummer and Jeri Mifflin. We love to travel and discovered and fell in love with Fripp Island over twelve years ago. Though we have travelled throughout the world (including Alaska, Europe, Mexico, the Carribean, and the Greek Islands), we knew instantly that Fripp was a special paradise and purchased our villa on our first visit. Plum is an independent contractor in East Lansing, Michigan, and Jeri enjoys being an elementary school principal in Okemos. We love going to Fripp on our vacations and enjoy sharing our home with you!
About Our Southern Vacation Villa:
Our oceanfront villa offers stunning views of the Atlantic, as well as incredible luxury and beauty. Recently renovated, our villa is equipped as a "home" and not just a vacation rental! Our furnishings, original artwork, and ideal location will definitely help you feel pampered and special throughout your stay. Please note that due to recent renovations, our villa is now "adults only" and we no longer rent to families with children.
Though the Beaufort area boasts many excellent gourmet restaurants, our fully-equipped kitchen, views of the ocean from almost every window and front patio, beautiful sunken garden and outdoor grilling area definitely invite you to cook in and relax "at home."
Our living room slider door is just steps from the water and New Haven's brand new "ocean viewing deck" and upland beach area. Our villa is on the main level and overlooks the ocean where you can enjoy watching shrimp boats and dolphins. Sunsets and sunrises are plentiful as you relax in comfortable rocking chairs, sipping your morning coffee or evening cocktail.
The interior of our villa is fabulously decorated in "southern/island style" and very comfortable. All living and dining furniture and window treatments are new. The bedroom has a queen bed and luxurious quality bedding. Our fully-equipped kitchen is designed for gourmet cooks. Our villa is an end unit with lots of windows and natural light, sufficient storage for your personal items, and a convenient washer/dryer.
In addition to recent interior renovations, we now offer high speed internet access in our villa for guests who need or want to remain "connected" while on vacation.
An additional treat for guests: Use of our personal golf cart (affectionately known on the island as "Sweet Pea") is included for weekly renters. Shorter and longer-term renters may also make arrangements for this option to be included for an additional fee! This special transportation gives you a relaxing and scenic way to explore our special island paradise.
In respect for the comfort of our guests, we are "No Smoking" and "No Pets."
Some Extra Options You Can Consider...
As our guests, you will always enjoy the quiet beauty and peacefulness of Fripp, including the beach, two on-island golf courses, walking and biking paths, and many off-island attractions. Our rental rate includes all linens and departure clean. South Carolina tax (11%) and optional Fripp Club amenity cards are extra.
The purchase of amenity cards entitles you to "guest membership" in the private Fripp Club, including use of all club facilities (e.g. restaurants, fitness center, pools, and tennis courts). Amenity cards must be reserved at least one week prior to your visit. Cost for amenity cards from Memorial through Labor Day is $50 per person per week. Cost during the "off season" is $35 per person per week.

Why the Owner Chose New Haven Villas
We fell in love with Fripp on our first trip over twelve years ago to visit friends at their beachfront home. Shelling, kite flying, golf, and the quiet beauty of nature captured us then and enthralls us still. We love so many things about Fripp--the friendly people, brilliant starry nights, walking over to the first tee, and taking our golf cart (Sweet Pea) on rides to see the abundant wildlife of this beautiful nature preserve, including deer, egret, alligators, osprey, and dolphins. Best of all, we love the many friends we have made over the years and enjoy our reunions as we return year after year to this beautiful island!

Guests staying at our villa will find our villa unlike "typical" rental properties. We maintain it to the luxurious standards that we want for ourselves on a vacation--with upscale furnishings and great attention to details. Our unique location gives guests a quick walk to golf, pool, beach, and dining--without even getting in a car. Our unique location, facing south on the Atlantic Ocean, means you can see sunrises and sunsets from our front deck! A glass of wine or cup of coffee while relaxing in our rockers relaxes even the busiest professional. Watching dolphins frolic and shrimp boats head out to sea mean this is definitely life at its finest! Or...as we say with friends, "Does life get any better than this!!"
Owner's Map of New Haven Villas
Owners Plummer (see photo) and Jeri Mifflin live in Okemos, Michigan, where Plum is self-employed and Jeri is an elementary school principal. We both love to travel and enjoy spending "vacation time" at our northern Michigan cabin, located on the National Wild and Scenic Pine River in the Manistee National Forest. There we canoe, kayak, read, and enjoy sightings of deer, fox, and even black bear. We also love being at Fripp Island--our southern paradise! A passion for both of us is the game of golf which we avidly pursue (without great success but with a fun spirit!!).
