Cordillera (in Edwards, CO) is an exclusive, gated community west of Vail and Beaver Creek resorts. Play can be arranged at one of four superb golf courses. There are six excellent dining facilities and this home is an easy 10 minute drive down a well-paved mountain road to shopping, alternate restaurants, theatres and myriad outdoor activities.
This 4 bedroom “Club Cottage” is within a short walk of the practice area and the putting green for the Mountain Course, designed by Hale Irwin. Nicklaus, Fazio and Pelz have also designed courses that are part of this Cordillera development. Each is different from the other and each is first rate and well maintained.
The home is three stories with a large family room on the ground level along with one twin bedroom and one “study” that has a sleep sofa. There are two private baths on this floor as is the laundry room. Each bedroom has a walk-in closet. The main (ground) floor has an expansive, vaulted living room with adjoining dining area, open kitchen and a master suite with king bed that opens directly to the deck and the ample hot tub that has views 40 miles down valley to the Gore Range Mountains. There is easy access to a large wooden deck that is nearly 500 square feet in size. The second floor has one twin bedroom with private bath and a second master suite, the latter with walk-in closet and large bath room.
The house, which is located in a small cul-de-sac at about 8000 feet elevation, has a two car garage with direct access from the first floor. The views in all directions from inside are spectacular as the home looks down to the 6th and 7th fairways of the Mountain Course, looks afar at the Gore Range to the East and beautiful red, clay cliffs to the North and toward alpine meadows to the South.
The home provides a fully outfitted kitchen, all linen supplies and several televisions along with music system, family games and wonderful corners to read and relax.

Weekly rate at $ 6,500
For 2009 - Non holiday rate: $550/night; $3,500 per week
One half due by check at the time of reservation; second half, 10 days before arrival. |
