This Meadow Valley private mountain house is on nearly Three acres that has creek frontage year round (the creek will put you to sleep) and the Plumas National Forest. There are many trails leaving from the property into the forest.
Bring your horses, because there is over an acre fenced for them. Storing the boat or horse trailer during your stay is not a problem. There are many top-notch lakes (7 miles to Bucks Lake) for boating, fishing, beautiful golf courses (45 minutes to Graeagle - 4 world class golf courses) hunting, or any type of recreation minutes away.
The house is about 2 hours north west of Reno or 1 1/2 hours north east of Oroville, CA. Every inch of this 2,000 square foot home is very comfortable and feels very homey... The bathrooms are small as is the kitchen, but everything works nice...
This unique private estate, is tucked off the main road (Bucks Lake Hwy) in a park-like setting of beautiful trees and openness - offering visitors privacy and seclusion not found in many properties.

My wife and I came here for a short vacation after a backpacking trip in the Sierras, and wow, what a great cabin! Very private, very nicely situated in Meadow Valley, tons of hiking trails nearby, and close to Quincy. Rene was great to work with, very pleasant, and made us feel like we were at home. Highly recommend you stay here, no complaints whatsoever. We will definitely stay here again!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Rene was a joy to deal with, very patient and sweet and fair. The home is in great condition, the kitchen, though not pictured, has everything you need and is clean with appliances that are in good shape. You are in a neighborhood here, it is not a remote mountain place as I had thought it would be, but the neighbors are all very sweet and friendly people. It was extremely helpful that I could have my dog here. The place is a 10 mile drive from the nearest town - Quincy. In Quincy they have a great organic Co-op store and other bits and bobs, a great coffee joint Dunn's - my daughter's camp experience in another nearby town went poorly so she came back with me to the house and I took her to several swimming holes in the Feather River that were nice and we kayaked on Bucks Lake which is about 8 miles from the house. The house itself was very comfortable, I just want to warn anyone out there to be ready for the Highway Patrol in Quincy/Plumas County. They prey on tourists - I found this out from the townspeople after I got stung with a ticket that has 5 VC violations on it. I had to hire an attorney while I was on vacation which kind of wrecked things for us a bit. They motto in Quincy is "come on vacation, leave on probation" - so just be extremely careful. Rene's place is lovely, you can stay here and you will be happy.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing.
