The great part about this house is the sun porch upstairs; it gives you a great view of the lake and the Wildlife Refuge across the lake. You can sit out on the porch and watch the sun rise in the mornings while enjoying your cup of coffee. The deep water dock has 8 foot of water at end of dock great for fishing and sun bathing.
A sandy water bottom along shore great for swimming.

This Lakehouse is one that I would stay at again and again and refer my friends and family too anytime! My friends and I came down to South Carolina from NY and PA - for the B.A.S.S National Tournament on November 5th-13th, 2011. The tournament was launching out of John C Land Landing -which is connected to Taw Caw Creek. There were 7 of us that stayed in this house and we had MORE than enough room to live comfortably. The house is HUGE! 2 bedrooms upstairs w/ 2 full bathrooms & 3 beds, and 2 bedrooms downstairs w/ 3 beds, 2 bunk beds, and 1 full bathroom. Also, a washer and dryer downstairs, and a game room in the garage w/ Pool, Ping Pong and Fooseball. Upstrairs there was a nice size kitchen, dining room, living room, and front / back porch. Also, the house is equipped w/ a Disability Chair that runs upstairs / downstairs. Nice Touch! The best part about this house was the BOAT LAUNCH - right off the backyard! We had 3 BASS BOATS and 3 TRUCKS in the driveway w/ plenty of room to move around! The guys were able to drive by boat right over to the Launch and go from there for the tournament! They loved it! The beautiful sunrise and sunset was amazing and overall the scenery was breathtaking. We didnt really catch any fish off the dock, but dont be suprised if you see an alligator swim by! Overall, this was a great time. Make sure you bring your own Bedding, Towels, Food etc. and clean up when you leave! This place made it feel like "home away from home". This home was absolutely beautiful and welcoming... Felt like a home away from home, nice gameroom downstairs with a ping pong, pool and foosball table. Enough room to comfortably sleep multi family, or a multiple couples get away. Beautiful front porch, with swings and a long picnic table perfect for feeding multiple people at. We brought our own floats, but there were some in the garage for floating on the river. Decent DVD selection for latenight movies after basting in the sun. Sandy beach walk in, we brought our boat and had no problems with the "on property" boat drop in. House was clean, smoke free, totally accomodating and comfortable for all. We brought friends with us and they were all impressed. Security deposit was returned quickly, and without dismay. Overall experience was without any complaints of any sort. Communication with owners was great, we give our highest recommendations and will return!
