Our experience from booking (which this was the first time on VRBO) to leaving was wonderful. Dottie was great in helping and then Richard was terrific on making sure we had everything we needed and answering any questions. But the best was that Richard took us out on the boat and showed us all around the Lake (even to Goat's Island) and then showed my son and husband how to do the boat so they took it out for the rest of the day!!! The chalet was amazing and the view was relaxing and soothing! We will so come back and 100% recommend this wonderful place for everyone who wants to get away!!!

We chose the Chalet for our annual Labor Day getaway and hit the jackpot!! This place was truly amazing and words cannot describe the beauty of this lakehouse!! The home was equipped perfectly with more than enough supplies you may need. The furniture, beds and bedding, televisions and appliances were all top-notch!! We spent the weekend with our two year old son, eight week old baby girl,my parents and some friends from Iowa. Our only regret was we didn't stay for a week!! There is lots to do in the area...from fishing, hiking at High Falls State Park, cruising the lake with the pontoon, swimming or just simply sitting on the porch in the awesome rocking chairs watching all the activity on the lake. Thanks Richard and Dottie....hope to see you next year!!!

We travelled from Cheshire in England and we were not disappointed. The whole house was amazing, the lake and the boat kept my 5 & 7 year old boys busy. My wife fell in love with the house and lake, we were shocked as to how the house exceeded our expectations! I have nothing but priase and would recommend the house to anyone who is thinking of renting on Jackson lake. Less than an hour away from Atlanta it was a holiday with all areas covered. Thanks to Dottie and Richard formaking it a great holiday and for dealing with all our questions! Neil, Helen, Taylor & Mitchell Cameron

This was our seventh vacation house rental experience and was definitely the BEST ONE YET! Many family members were able to come for short stays and enjoy the time with us. All were impressed with the house and especially enjoyed the boat. The house was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. Everyone felt like they had their own space which can be important when dealing with multiple families. The best part for us was enjoying the reactions of our grandchildren who always had something to do. We hope other families can enoy similiar experiences and build memories that last a life time.

My family converged on to Dottie's lake house for a 50th Anniversary. From the moment we arrived we had nothing but memorable fun and relaxation. The house completed a fantastic weekend which will be talked about for sometime. The accomadations were more than ample for 10 people. Everything from taking showers and sleeping. Modern amenities from kitchen to electronics. We had a fun night downstairs in the greatroom off the Master Suite playing "Bowling" on XBox Live. The deck which faces the lake is where we watched the sunset and sunrise every morning. The pontoon was a favorite for all as we would do a early afternoon and late afternoon run. My only comment on the pontoon is that it does not have an umbrella to shade people who are sensitive to sun. I know the family has talked about maybe meeting at the lake house again maybe for Fall. If your considering this property I would say DO IT!! All you need to bring is your close and food. The area is very tucked away and quiet not like Lake Lanier. Very glad I chose this property.

What a wonderful home and location. The pictures do not show the true beauty of this home. Our entire family enjoyed boating and fishing. We also took a few trips into Atlanta to visit the zoo and aquarium. Noah's Ark and the Outlet Mall are only 10 miles away, also a lot of fun! Oh and don't forget to try Fresh Air BBQ it was out of this world. What a wonderful vacation that we will always remember!! Thanks Dottie :-)

I was so pleased with this Lake Jackson get-away. Everything we needed was on site..the chalet is beautifully furnished with everything we needed, the boat was very nice. We also enjoyed the paddle boat..fishing was good..make sure you bring lures for gar fishing..there are some big ones in this lake. Wing Depot at the marina seves up some mighty tasty wings and tenders! I hope to come back again, I highly recommed this vacation rental..more bang for your buck! Tammy Overstreet

The decription of the property was accurate. It was clean and well maintained. The owner conducted herself in a professional manner and gave assistance to us as needed. I would recommend this property without reservation. The peace and quietness of the area as well as the view from the deck were the most charming facets of the property for me.It was great location for our staff retreat!

Wow this place is beautiful! We had a wonderful time. The house was perfect. Clean, spacious, luxurious, and we had alot of privacy. My husband and I came for a little R&R. We didnt rest much though. We were so excited to use the nice pontoon, fish, and enjoy the lake. We did catch some nice sized catfish and bass.(and its true, the best fishing spot was right off the private dock!) There is a nice marina close by with everything we needed, bait, ice, gas, food and beer. We never even left the property, except to boat or fish. It was great grilling all our dinners and having a lakefront table! We saw the sun come up,and watched it go down.Dottie and Richard were great, very accomodating. We hope to bring our adult children and their spouses next time we come. We still smile, just talking about our trip! If you book this property, you will definitely enjoy yourself!
Owner response:Thanks Tammy! Your comments mean a lot! Dottie

The house was fantastic and comfortable for our group of 10! The view from the house was great--we saw deer, ducks, chipmunk, birds. The kids and adults enjoyed fun on the water including swimming at the dock, boating, tubing behind the boat. This was the first yearly family gathering where we didn't have to leave the vacation rental for fun....only left the house for groceries. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Thanks for a great vacation.

The pictures do not do this home justice. It is beautiful. Dottie was so very helpful and the neighbors were friendly. The lake, boat, wireless internet, open floor plan, and comfort make this home a winner!!! My family had so much fun, we are planning another trip in March!

My family stayed here for a week in July and had a blast. We never even left the area to seek entertainment, elsewhere. We tubed, fished and stayed on the boat most of the time. The house is beautifully appointed and very clean. We will be back.

I spent the July 4th weekend at this beautiful lake chalet. This home has all the features I needed to have a wonderful holiday. The view of the lake was fantastic. The house is furnished like a model. I would recommend this chalet to anyone looking for a great place to vacation.
