Not well kept. "luxury custom furnishings" were 3 delapited, dirty, sofas and a coffee table. NO decor what so ever- we went to ROSS and purchased accent items, pillows, etc. Home not well cleaned, maintained. Sliding doors with broken locks, 2 out of 3 ceiling fans would not turn on in 90 degree temperatures. Dirty, ill painted walls, cupboard fronts,stair banister were sticky and dirty. Missing an iron, silverware, no propane for BBQ, carpet in need of cleaning/replacement.We literally washed all walls and kick boards in living areas. Bought large table cloth for dining table because of liquid "stains" beneath glass top we were inable to clean. Bones of home and location were as represented. Calls to VRBO for concerns were handled promptly.
Owner response:I am the owner of the cabin where Ms Sharon and her friends stayed during the 4th of July weekend. First of all, at no time during her stay she was talking to VRBO since there is no customer service line for the site and the VRBO is merely an online classified agency for vacation home owners who wish to advertise their homes. All her complaints were heard and acted upon immediately regardless of its merits. She claimed there were only 8 towels at the house when she checked in but in fact there were 12. A cleaning person supplied 6 more towels, 10 more rolls of toilet paper and many more rolls of paper towels to her. Second, Ms. Sharon was having a wedding party at the cabin which was not permitted and nor was I informed before hand. The reason she needed more decor and was very disappointed was because her wedding party had required the type of ambiance that any cabin would lack. Carpets have just been steamed washed including sofas a week prior to her check in. Even though sofas are not brand new, but were not at all dilapidated. In the course of 4 years of renting out our cabin, there hasn't been a single negative feedback until now. I am very sorry she has felt such way about our cabin, however, more truth in her statement would be much appreciated.

Beautiful home perfect for large or multi-family. The house was conveniently located to all the sites we wanted to see as well as close to many grocery stores and restaurants. Would definitely rent again next time!
Recommended for:Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.
