Brooks Haven is a modern home with a rustic flair, tucked away on 32 private acres. It has four bedrooms with a pullout futon and accommodates up to 10 but is just as cozy and romantic for a honeymoon getaway.
Large decking is available on two levels, which makes for lively cookouts; a moment of solitude curled up with a book or stargazing on crystal clear nights a must.
A passive solar design straight from the pages of Mother Earth News floods the home with light and warmth. Shade trees make for comfortable summer days and crisp mountain air makes perfect sleeping weather.
Close to Hiking, biking, horse trails for miles and miles, Grayson Highlands Park with Mt. Rogers (Virginia's tallest peak at over 5,700 feet in elevation), Jefferson National Forest, Virginia Creeper Trail, Canoe the New (river that is, ironically the nation's oldest), plenty of trout streams considered some of the finest in the East, and guided tours are available.
While at Brooks Haven you will be within 30 minutes of a Five-Star dining experience at The River House, visiting an old-time country store (Osborne's) and family style country sideboard kind of eating at Shatley Springs (seasonal).
