Anna Maria is a unique seven mile barrier island located west of of the city of Bradenton and north of Longboat Key and Sarasota. Young Florida family residing one hour away in Tampa. Enjoy home/boats and natural settings year around. Grew up close to the ocean and always enjoyed an active beach lifestyle. Fishing, skying, kayaking the back trails in search of the elusive species. Have outfitted property with all family members in mind for total quality time together. Rent home selectively at certain periods to help defray cost of ownership. The House, Adriel's Place, named after our two children Adrian and Mariel.

Watching dolphins and manatees frolic right out of our backyard waterway. The house opens widely to its natural elements through panoramic sliding doors. Allows a unique blend of nature and comfort in a most relaxed atmosphere. My girlfriend and I stayed here in May and loved every minute of it. It is tucked away in a quiet upscale neighborhood. Upon arrival, we opened up the sliding glass doors to see the relaxin pool and the water in the backyard. We used the bikes and kayaks as well as enjoyed what Anna Maria Island had to offer. If you are looking for some good food for lunch, try Tortilla Bay. It is Mexican and quite tasty. One spot that we hit for breakfast was Minnie's Beach Cafe. The place had great food and the staff was quite entertaining! The property has an outdoor sound system to enjoy some music while you take a swim, lay in the hammock, cook some food on the charcoal grill, or are relaxing in the chairs with a nice drink. This place has it all. It was one of our most favorite vacations yet and we plan on going back in the future. I must say dealing with the owner was a pleasure as well. A very smooth transaction. I would say that the photos do not do this place justice. See for yourself and head down to Anna Maria Island.

My wife and I took our first long vacation away from the Canadian winter and we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. Anna Maria Island it's self is a lovely location with the longest beach imaginable consisting of pure white sand the texture of icing sugar and lovely sea grass and rolling dunes. Gil's place is located just minutes from great restaurants and shopping. The house is spacious and warm, situated on a canal we had our own personal showing of pelican's diving for their dinner and dolphins swimming right up to our dock. The house had everything needed to make us feel right at home and Gill and his lovely wife were only too eager to make sure our stay was a memorable one.

Adriel's Place is a dream come true for a small family vacation. Cozy and luxurious yet unpretentious. Well equipped for the whole family entertainment. The back yard is a tropical paradise dotted with exotic palms, a waterway often host of frolicking dolphins and peaceful manatees. My kids enjoyed the house more than anyone else. Bikes, hammocks, kayak, pool....

We stayed here for a week in Nov. '08 and enjoyed all the amenities. The house was very clean and we enjoyed the lovely peaceful view from the back of the house overlooking the pool and canal. The house felt very spacious, especially with the sliding glass pocket doors opening up to the patio area. The second bedroom is a little sparse for adults, but fine for children. The master bedroom is very nice with a very comfortable bed. We would definitely rent this property again. Gil, the owner was accommodating and easy to work with on arrival and departure times.
