Yes! The "Banana Belt". Point Roberts is terrific in the winter--our weather is always better than Vancouver or the Washington mainland. Gorgeous crisp days when others are suffering inside. Come try us this winter--and it's not too soon to think about the Olympics.
Fresh and comfortable, our 2000 sq. ft. town home condo is ready to be your home base in the most appealing resort community in the greater Vancouver area. Sleepy little Point Roberts captures the spirit of a different time--one of safety, security, friendliness, open spaces, fresh air and good old fashioned fun.
If you are new to Point Roberts, we look forward to sharing our unique spot with you; if you are returning, you will enjoy this new rental in a terrific location. You can walk across the narrow road to the BEACH, as well as stroll to the MARINA and two RESTAURANTS. The GOLF course is down the road and around the bend. You are a short drive from Lighthouse Park, the famous "International Marketplace", our little post office, numerous restaurants and quick-stops, and beautiful Lily Park. And if you just HAVE to have some city life, we are a short half hour to Vancouver, and less than ten minutes from the ferry to Victoria. In the winter months, SKIING is 45 minutes away and Whistler just under two hours.
Eagles, orca whales, seabirds, bunnies and other benign wildlife will share the sky, lawn and sea with you. Beach walks go for miles and there is nary a stoplight on the Point.
The unit itself is tastefully and comfortably furnished. All appliances are BRAND NEW and we've added a toaster, coffee maker, electric juicer, and blender, among other conveniences. There is a bistro table and two chairs, plus two comfortable chaise lounges on the patio. For dining, the table seats six, there is a breakfast bar with seating for four, and the electric fireplace adds charm and is heat-optional. The attached two car garage makes coming and going extremely convenient. There is a flat screen HDTV with a DVD player and high speed internet hookups, if you are so inclined.
On the ground level there is a master bedroom with queen bed and ensuite bath with a shower and soaking tub and loads of closet space. On the second floor the guest suite features a full bed, huge closet, loft with desk and high speed internet access, and full bath.
If you are four adults or a family of four, and prefer comfort and space, this rental is for you. You will be going through an international border to get here (which is part of why it is so idyllic), so it's a good idea to bring your passports. Other than that, we dress casually and comfortably and all you need is your willingness to relax and have a good time.
