Dos Palmas, a beautiful hacienda style villa welcomes you to the Caribbean via panoramic views of the turquoise sea and cool ocean breezes! Dos Palmas is a deluxe four bedroom (possible 5 bedrooms), four and half bath villa located ocean front, just a three minute walk from Akumal’s center.
Exterior: Approaching Dos Palmas you are drawn to the gorgeous green of lush gardens, creating the feel of a secret retreat just beyond. Dos Palmas enjoys the privacy of tropical gardens on the entry side and the unforgettable views on the ocean side.
The alluring tiled swimming pool and Jacuzzi are located on the garden side of the property, keeping the swimming pool sheltered and water warm and comfortable. The poolside patio is furnished with dining table and chairs and chaise lounges for everyone. A nice pergola provides a shaded area for guests as well. The many outdoor spaces create serenity you'll cherish– the pool/whirlpool, outdoor shower, patio & terraces, gardens and lawn, Mayan sculpture and naturalistic coral garden, both poolside and seaside dining areas, and a rooftop observatory with 360 degree viewing of ocean, jungle, lagoon, sunrises and sunsets, and the stars.
General Layout: Dos Palmas offers 4,000 square feet of living space over two levels. The principal entry from the poolside patio area leads you to the dining area with seating for 8. Just beyond the dining area is the main sitting and conversation area with an incredible view of the ocean and sliding glass doors lead you to the seaside patio area with dining table and other furnishings. Overhead a 50 ft high cathedral ceiling ascends two stories to a magnificent traditional Hacienda style brick dome for ocean breezes to circulate freely throughout the villa. Mexican and Mayan culture are highlighted throughout Dos Palmas by way of vivid and lively colors, traditional furnishings and hand painted talavera tiles in the bathrooms and accent areas. To the left of the dining area is the fully functional and well equipped kitchen which includes a dishwasher. Kitchen windows look out over the pool, patios and garden.
All bedrooms have ocean views with glass sliders to a patio. There are two master suites; one on the second and one on the first level, both furnished with a king bed. The masters are air conditioned and have private en suite baths. Two guest bedrooms; again one on the second level and one on the first level, are furnished with two double beds each and air conditioned. The guest bedroom on the first level has a private bath and the upper guest bedroom shares a bath with the media room. The media room on the upper level is furnished with a large futon and sofa sleeper. The room is air conditioned with jungle and garden views.
