The Stuart family says, Welcome! Please join us for a short or long stay in the main floor of our beautiful home, which is basically set up as two individual condo units. Many places to relax including our huge covered front porch, swingset atop a grand hill, or deck overlooking much of the acreage. An amazing array of birds and wildlife are present. On a clear night, you will enjoy more stars than you have probably ever seen, with a pasture area that, when lit by the moonlight, will make you question whether it is day or night! If desired, our kids are glad to act as playmates, but courteous enough to stay quiet for your enjoyment. We have taken great care to establish a tranquil setting on the interior of our home as well. Harmoniously decorated to provide you with an all around fantastic experience.

Dawn , Kenosha, WI This place is beautiful! We needed some R&R and we definitely got it here. Very relaxing! The birds are amazing. We have 3 boys and they really enjoyed the outdoors. The house is very spacious. Great Place!
Enjoy the tranquility and serenity that country life has to offer while residing in a comfortable 1836 square foot unit. The only one of its kind in the area, you will enjoy the amazing views of nature from every room. Home sits 533' from the road, and is located at the end of a dead end road. No need to worry about neighbors in this neck of the woods, ours each have a minimum of 40 acres. This spot is a bird lovers paradise, and you may be fortunate enough to view a visit from a fox, coyote, deer, or turkey. We are a 10 minute drive to miles of walk/bike trails surrounding a wildlife preserve and running through quaint towns with fantastic food. Ten minutes from boat landings, five minutes to the golf course, and 20 minutes to the main shopping strip. La crosse has recently had an influx of quaint new shops, and the downtown area is only 25 minutes.
You will be welcomed into the home from a large covered porch, and will immediately feel relaxed in the 22x26 living room w/cathedral ceilings, gas fireplace, foosball, and library of books/magazines. Further into the home, you will enter a very large kitchen with center island, amazing views of the acreage, and patio leading to outdoor eating space. Kitchen is fully stocked with all necessary cooking utensils/equipment. 14x16 master is spacious and romantic, and OH the views! Master bath offers double person jacuzzi tub and double bowl sinks.
To keep you occupied we have all of the following on site or within a 5-15 minute drive:
ON SITE: sledding, swimming pool, 15' trampoline, 8x10 sandbox, swingsets, snowmobile trails (across the street), basketball, sporting equipment of all types, baseball, soccer, sled hill, many lawn games, two fire pits - one for the sled hill
OFF SITE (w/in 5-20 min's): hiking and bike trails, beautiful Perrot state park, federal wildlife preserve, antiquing, numerous apple orchards with pumpkin patches, city pool, canoeing, golf, ice rinks, boating, fishing, cross country skiing. Beaches and down hill skiing are available within 20-30 minutes respectively.
All of the modern conveniences of shopping malls and restaurants are within 20 minutes. We also have a newer sports bar and smaller shopping strip with grocery within six minutes of the home.
This area is well populated by bike enthusiasts that use our hilly countryside to train for racing events. So, if this is your forte, then this is your spot for accomodations. Snowmobile trails are located directly across the street from our home. This property is also fantastic for family reunions and womens only retreats. Owners are on site to assure a comfortable stay. Three ring binder offering information regarding the area is in unit.

- Property is set back from the road app. 500 feet in a coulee, surrounded on three sides with wooded bluffs. Extraordinary setting for birding, stargazing, and any meditative activity. Tons of room to roam for you or the kids. Paths have been mowed through the tall grass area, and their are paths through the woods as well. We are across the street from the entrance to the snowmobile trails. Our property has 4 box stalls for horse lovers. Please provide advance notice if you care to use. Bonfire pit during the night provides romantic relaxation while listening to the night creatures and watching the fireflies. 2-15 minutes to most of the extra-curricular activities. Chickens roam the property, many indoor and outdoor games are available, such as bocce ball, several "toss" games, trak ball, frisbee, game equipment for basketball, baseball, softball, and football.

We are the Stuart Family. We purchased our beautiful peice of heaven in August of 2005. It has proven to be a fantastic place to raise our children, who love to run in the sun, and sled on our own sled hill in the winter. There is no place else we have ever visited that is equally serene and peaceful. Come see for yourself!
As for Jim and I, we are college graduates. Jim is a graduate of UW-Madison School of Engineering, and I hold a degree in Elem. Education from UW-Milwaukee. We are laid back people that love conversation and are very active outdoors. We are happpy to join you in conversation around the campfire, or leave you to yourselves to enjoy a weekend of solitude. Why the Owner Chose La Crosse
We purchased this particular location due to the extreme privacy, yet close proximity to town. The home is very peaceful and spacious, but honestly it was when we walked the land that we knew this was a special and rare place. The home sits in a valley surrounded on three sides by forested land that we own. There is no chance for development. Our neighbors each have 40 acres. So, technically, we have a "small lot" in comparison! The serenity of the outdoors here is difficult to put into words. You will never before have realized how many different noises nature can produce. It is truly its own symphony.
The Unique Benefits of this House
We enjoy something rare; silence - with exception to nature. Heaven on Earth will feel like you are a million miles from the hustle and bustle. There are birds of every kind, or so it seems. The peacefulness of the morning and evening air is priceless. We offer moon and star lit nights around the bonfire, walking paths for further viewing of nature, access to snowmobile and ATV trails across the street and up the hill, and organically raised chickens and veggies, our own sledding hill (often combined with eagles soaring overhead), lots of outdoor and indoor games, and soccer/baseball field.
