Waterfalls provide an incredible unique habitat for a variety of wildlife that is rarely seen anywhere else. Across the waterfalls you will see a natural gorge covered with exotic orchids, begonia, and bromeliad. Giant fluorescent blue Morpho butterflies dance every morning in the waterfalls, and painted tiger dragonflies soar through the canopy everyday!
Hundreds of humming birds arrive during the summer months nesting at water's edge. Monkeys, sloth, toucans visit the forest visible across from the balconies! The exotic brilliant fushia breasted slaty tailed Trogon is a waterfall canopy resident as are rare crested guans. Jagurandi sip cool water below in the evening light. Dominical Beach and the Whale Marine National Park with the famous whale´s tail beach are just a few minutes drive. We are only 3 min from the giant falls of Nayaucu tour and only 15 min from the largest waterfall in Costa Rica - Diamante Falls, where you can repel with experts! Learn how to surf! August - Oct. Highly recommend flying with Sansa from San Jose for 20 minutes to Palmar Sur airport. The Waterfall Villas are 40 minutes north of the airport on a very nice easy road up the coast. We can pick you up up at additonal cost of $65. Rental car at the Palmar Sur airport with Alamo - they will even bring the car to the Village.
Nov. - Aug. Driving from San Jose to San Isidro through the mountains to Dominical is about 3 hours.
If you are in Manuel Antonio/Quepos its 1 hour further to Dominical. We offer private transfers from San Jose airport at $165 each way up to 4 persons per transport price. |
