Three of us adults and two 12 year olds stayed here over Spring break. The house was exceptionally clean and very well laid out. The bedrooms are all spread out so that everyone had their privacy, with the living area and pool right in the middle. Sitting in the hot tub at night was great, walking the 4 minute nature trail to the beach (with deer running around) was fun and easy for everyone, and walking the beach below the house was wonderful! Hardly anyone there, and I think we had 4 full conch shells roll up on the beach. The owners are very involved and attentive, making sure everything at the property was "just right". We always rent homes on our vacations, and this was one of best we have ever enjoyed. Thanks for the beautiful and relaxing vacation!

Seven adults from Vermont escaped to Reef Bay for a week of late-January fun in the sun. The location was perfect for a get-away-from-it-all vacation. The house offered beach-walkers (and runners) direct access to a couple miles of secluded and varied beach (some sandy, some rocky). It wasn't unusual to walk for an hour without passing another person. The hikers in the crowd could access a host of trails, including L'Esperance and Lameshur Bay trails, as well as the Reef Bay trail to the Petroglyphs, by walking less than a half-mile down the beach. Folks who wanted to hang by the pool and read or snooze could enjoy amazing views. The steep roads by the house offered stunning views for road-walkers/runners-- we only saw a handful of cars on the dead-end roads all week. The body-surfers/boogie-boarders among us enjoyed hours of riding the waves on the beach right by the house. (For swimmers who preferred calm waters, a stretch of sandy beach less than a half-mile down-beach from the house was ideal. One day we saw a snorkeling/scuba tour group at that beach, prompting us to walk back the next day with our own equipment. We didn't see anything worth writing home about.) The place offered so much that some of us barely explored the island-- there was plenty to do and see right from the house. For those who wanted to explore more, Cruz Bay was only 15 minutes away, and the Center Line Road offered a mountainous drive into the middle of the island. The house itself was clean, very tasteful, comfortable, and well-equipped. We enjoyed cooking at home, and had all the dishes, pots, pans, etc. that we needed to make nice meals. The audio-visual equipment allowed us to play music from our iPod or stream satellite radio, and we could stream Netflix or watch DVDs or cable. And the washer and dryer allowed us to pack lightly. The owner was exceptionally attentive. When we had problems with a piece of electronics, he was on the phone to us immediately helping us trouble-shoot. (We got it working.) We would definitely come back here!

We're of group of four adult family members whom have traveled to St John's for the last nine years. We have tried numerous management companies staying at various villas throughout the island. This is the first villa we stayed in more than once and are planning our next year's stay at this location. We have been spoiled with the best. The villa is everything it professes to be and so much more. The listing is accurate, the pictures are accurate, the private location and ease of parking, thoroughly cleaned inside and out, amenities, convenience of electric power when the island lost power and villa layout. Highly recommend to family and friends. We'll be back. New Bern, North Carolina

We took our first ever full family vacation this year. My parents, my brother, his wife & their 2 girls, my husband & I. We debated forever where to go & I couldn't tell you exactly how we settled on St. John. But in our research, we came across this home and it was exactly what we were looking for. The layout was perfect for us, there was a great living area & kitchen and outdoor area for us to gather in and plenty of space for each of us to have our own private area. Marijean met us at the ferry, ushered us to the home & showed us around. From then on it was our home away from home. Not sure if we'll ever go back to St. John, but if we do, we'll definitely try to stay here again.

Members of our family came to spend a week at this Reef Bay villa. we came from New Hampshire, Pennsylvania and Colorado and experienced a marvellous time. The four bedrooms are situated to allow privacy. The central unit with kitchen and living area was perfect for gathering. We dined indoors and out, cooked on the grill and inside. Swam in the pool, used the hot tub, and walked to swimming and snorkeling at the Reef Bay beach. Although we travelled around the island, we could have been happy staying at the villa all week.

We just got back from a week at this villa & we loved it there! There were 6 adults and the bedrooms were set up as if we had our own hotel rooms which made it very private. The kitchen, living room and pool areas were where we would meet each morning for coffee & sun. At night we relaxed in the hot tub or sat around the table near the pool. The house was just beautiful & we couldn't have asked for anything else. We borrowed the fins and chairs & went to Trunk Bay on Thursday to snorkel. We cooked a couple nights in the villa on the grill & went to town to eat the other five nights. 5 of us hiked down the beach to the old sugar mill & the Petroglyphs-this was quite a hike over the rocks on the beach, but we felt we worked off most of the wonderful food we ate in St. John. We saw deer when we walked down the path & saw many on our ride back home to the villa. We actually ran a couple miles on 3 days-we would walk to the flat part of the road & run & then walk back up to the villa. Quite a workout!!!. We had a 7 passenger ford explorer & didn't have any problems driving. We would recommend this villa to anyone without a doubt. The villa was very clean & we can't say enough about it. The villa sits up over Reef Bay so we had plenty of wonderful breezes to cool us off during the day. Sleeping was wonderful with all the windows open & the ceiling fan on. The owners left us coffee & juice to start our trip and that was wonderful. The market is about 15 to 20 minutes near Cruz bay. We spent a lot of the time eating and drinking in Cruz Bay. I would gladly go back to this villa & I recommend it to everyone!

OMG! Pictures do not do this property justice! Where to begin? House manager met us in the evening with car that we had set up through Courtesy Car Rental (great free parking spot within walking distance of Cruz Bay). Upon our request she had snacks and cold drinks waiting for us. Villa had EVERYTHING, from coffee grinder, to soft towels, to spectacular views from every angle and it was exceptionally clean and well-maintained! The pool was very refreshing after our morning hilly runs. A short 5 minute walk to the beach was great. We didn't get any snorkeling in at Reef Bay due to waves, but did enjoy shelling, and hiking to the sugar mill, and then Petroglyph Trail to dip in The Pools. It was hard to leave the villa with ALL the amenities, but we did venture to see the island, taking advantage of the local happy hours and fabulous dinners (**Rhumb Lines, Margarita Phil's, Morgan's Mango, Roma Cafe ) We also did some grilling at home. Although you would not think a hot tub is needed, it was perfect in the evening for re-capping the day with the moon, stars, and a cocktail or beer. Thanks Jonathan and family for sharing your villa!

April 30 - May 7 2011 We had a magical, relaxing, fantastic stay at this house (6 adults and 4 small children). The views of the ocean can not be beat especially since they are seen free of any other houses/hotels in your line of vision. The walk to the beach is mystical (keep your eyes out for crabs living in shells and walking along the path with you). The kitchen is superbly equipped. The beds are so comfortable. We can't wait to go back. Thank you Jonathan!

We stayed at this villa forour family vacation and we were all blown away by how awesome the house is. There were 8 adults and a toddler with us and there was so much room! The layout of the house made it easy for everyone to have privacy when desired. The wheelchair access was important to us - many places say they are accessble, but really aren't, not this villa - fully accessible. We even took my husband in his beach wheelchair down the "private path" to the beach! It was great. There is a deer that lives on the path to the beach we saw daily. We even walked to the Reef Bay Trail and went up to the petroglyphs, 3 hours round trip and not steep at all. The house was impeccably clean and so well equipped. We have rented several villas and this was the most completely stocked and equipped villa yet. . This house is so complete - there are even coolers, beach chairs and snorkels set available to use. The picitures show the true house. The owners were great to work with and Bill the on island caretaker was awesome. I have already started saving for our next trip. All in all the ;best place we have ever stayed!

The descriptions by the owner and other reviewers are all true, but this property has to be seen to be fully appreciated. We just got back from a week's stay; the week went way to fast for us. Of the six of us, there were two adults and four teenagers. It's a bit hard to call the structure a house; it's kind of like four inside living areas separated by outside spaces. The quality of the home was excellent. We especially enjoyed our dinners by the pool. The views across Reef Bay wery very nice: great sunrises and it was neat to see the cruise ships passing in the distance at night. You have to work hard to see another house. If you want a quiet spot, you've got it. Not needing the air conditioning, it was great to hear the ocean at night. We even saw deer pass by the back of the house on our last night! Lastly, dealing with the owners and their caretaker was a pleasure.

We rented this villa with my father and step mother. There were a total of 4 adults and 2 kids ages 5 and 7. There was enough space for 4 more adults! This villa is beautiful, clean, user friendly and huge! The walk to the beach is so close and convenient that we only went to other beaches 2 times in our 10 days stay. The beach is great for gathering treasures, fishing and watching people surf. This villa is definatly a kid friendly, owners and house reps were very kind and friendly. We would definatly consider using this villa again in the future.

Four couples shared this villa the week of October 23-30, 2010. The photos are absolutely accurate. We rented Jeeps and had no problem with the roads leading to the villa. It is a quick 15 min. to town. The walk down through the Park to Reef Bay was not too tricky and we had the beach all to ourselves. The decor of the villa was beautiful -a peaceful and serene place to spend a week! Everything we could have wanted for treks to other beaches was there (except snorkeling equipment which is easy to rent for a week.) Our concierge was very helpful and informative too - great restaurant info from her. We wholeheartedly recommend staying here.

Owner response: Dear Friends, Thank you for being eco-friendly and conservative with water and electricity! Thank you also for being kind to the flora and fauna of the our gardens, path and off shore reefs! We have added sets of snorkel gear to the outdoor closet in response to your kind guestbook comments. We hope you will visit again in the future! Jonathan and Maggi

We had an amazing stay at this property. The villa is just beautiful with every imaginable amenity. And the layout is perfect for group gatherings as well as privacy. The lush surroundings provide a true island feel, and the beach is easily accessed and spectacular! The orientation of the house allows for wonderful tropical breezes - we didn't even need the air conditioning, and could just jump in the pool when we wanted to cool off. Perfect. Can't wait for our next visit!

The views are spectacular. The aminities are first class. The Villa layout is great for everyone to have their own space if they want while the common areas are conducive to group gathering. So often the pictures online are deceiving.. but in this case.. we couldn't have been more surprised. This villa was more beautiful in person. A very thoughtful floor plan. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub, cooking delicious family style dinners and eating outside, the hiking trails, bodysurfing the waves at the beach down below.. showering in the very cool tile showers open to the outdoors.. and so much more.. It has ruined us for ever staying in a hotel again... Highly recommend this villa.. and the owners and concierge staff are delightful to deal with.

My family and I spent a week at the villa and didn't want to leave! The decor and amenities were wonderful! Swimming at the beach at the base of the hill can be challenging for small children but late night "moon walks", hiking under the mangrooves, and finding hermit crabs were favorites of the whole family (two 6 year olds). It was a quick drive to the market but the home felt away from the busier areas in town. The drive to the north shore beaches was beautiful and you barely feel the 20 minutes in the car for even the more remote beaches because the views and foliage are so beautiful. Thank you to the Wards for sharing their home! This is the home you want to stay in while at St. John!

My family stayed at this beautiful home Jan. 2 through Jan. 9, 2010. This home is perfect in every way.....the location, the decor, and the absolute beauty surrounding the area. Short walk to the beach, great hot tub, very private and fantastic stars at night. We had an amazing week and that included 2 teenagers who loved every minute of it. And they are probably the toughest critics on the planet. I highly recommend a vacation at Reef Bay Villa. I promise you will not be disappointed.

We stayed at Reef Bay Holiday Villa from 8/8/09-8/15/09. Our two families had a wonderful time snorkeling and exploring the white sandy beaches of St. John. The beautiful villa had the perfect layout for our group of 2 couples and 4 kids (12,14,17,&19). It was more like a large complex with many separate areas that included a building housing a bedroom with two twin beds connected to a another bedroom with a shared bathroom for the kids, a living room, dining room, and kithchen building, a patio for the pool, outdoor table, grill and hot tub, and another two story building with two great bedrooms complete with patios facing the water. The kids loved the pool and hot tub and hanging out on the patio working on their tans. We definitely recommend the Reef Bay Holiday Villa.

I'm hesitant to even write anything after our stay because I don't want people to discover this hidden jewel! But it is far to amazing to keep from raving about it. We stayed at the Reef Bay Holiday Villa April 22-29 2009. This is our 6th year renting a villa on St. John and this villa is by far our favorite. The pictures tell all. It is private, peaceful and a short walk to the beach. The caretakers, Trish and Trent, are wonderful and extremely helpful as well. If you rent this villa, you will not be disappointed!

Thank you for sharing your beautiful Villa with us! It was an amazing week. The views were beautiful and the sounds of the waves at night were relaxing...as was the hot tub! The sprawling villa was very comfortable with plenty of room for our party of 8. The kids had a great time finding shells on the beach below the villa, swimming in the pool and trying other beaches each day. We would highly recommend this villa as it was brand new with a great value in a really great area! Thanks again and we hope to be back! The Trepeta and Corbin Families

We had the most wonderful vacation week at Reef Bay Holiday Villa! The villa had everything we had hoped for and more. We woke up to beautiful views of the ocean, enjoyed exploring the magnificent beaches of St. John during the day, and loved returning to the villa in the evening for a sunset soak in the hot tub and BBQ dinners by the pool. The villa was completely family friendly and the children enjoyed it as much as we did. We can't wait to book our next vacation at Reef Bay Holiday Villa because we hope to return year after year....

We enjoyed 9 relaxing days (Aug. 1 - 9)at your gorgeous home. What a wonderful home for our very first family vacation with ALL of our children/grandchildren. We can't say enough about the view of Reef Bay with all of it's brilliant shades of blue/turquoise throughout the day, as well as listening to the breaking surf. It was easy for us all to be on "island time" at such a relaxing location. We enjoyed the short walk through the trees to the beach that we had all to ourselves. The pool with it's endless swim jet & hot tub were enjoyed by everyone. It was nice to be able to sit in the shade or sun right next to the pool. We all loved exploring the island and all of it's incredible beaches....especially finding secluded Ditleff Point beach..just 5 minutes from the house! It was an amazing vacation.

What an amazing island! What an amazing home! Thank you for sharing your beautiful villa with us to enjoy. Your home has everything we could imagine for a paradise getaway. It is perfectly positioned in Reef Bay with beautiful views and your own secluded beach. Our days were spent exploring the island and all of its beauty and our evenings were spent enjoying the pool and hot tub at this exclusive villa. It is close enough to Cruz Bay and the North Shore beaches yet secluded enough to forget your troubles of the world and just enjoy. My wife is already talking about going back for a month next year! What a vacation! We thoroughly enjoyed your amazing villa perched above Reef Bay. The peace and tranquility was just what we needed, not to mention having the entire beach all to ourselves many days! Afternoon hikes in the national park was a favorite activity, always winding up at the beach for a swim before wandering back up the path to the deck to watch the clouds reflecting the many hues of the tropical sunset while we enjoyed a cool rum drink. We spent most evenings dining on the patio by the pool with the moon rising over the island with balmy breezes caressing our sun warmed skin. Heaven can't be any better. We did manage to sample some of the delightful restaurants in Cruz Bay, Morgan's Mango and Rhumb Lines were two favorites. For groceries, Starfish market had everything we needed. Thank you for creating such a wonderful place to escape busy schedules and unwind for a while in paradise. We will definitely be back! The Weavers
