"A Summer Place" Cottage is a new listing and is located on a private lane in historic Mapleton Beach enclave directly on "The Strip" in downtown Geneva-on-the-Lake". The cottage is in a private area that is secluded from the summer crowds and activities, yet within walking distance of restaurants and all the activities. Enjoy watching the sailboats on the lake and the beautiful sunsets from our cottage or the beach. The house is exceptionally clean and tastefully decorated, having two bedrooms with Queen beds, dresser and closet. Additionally, there is a bedroom upstairs with a double bed. Four television sets...two of the bedrooms have a TV with cable service as well as TV sets in the living room and enclosed porch, with DVD (porch and living room) and cable service for all."A Summer Place" has the essence of a destination your family may want to return to, situated in a private area just steps from Mapleton Beach's private beach.Located in Ashtabula County, Ohio, within a few miles there are many attractions, such as marinas with fishing charters, Geneva State Park, with a convention center, picnic facilities, trails, large beaches and more. Cleveland and Erie, PA are approx. 50 miles. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Presque Isle, Amusement Parks, Zoos, upscale shopping area, as well as many ethnic shopping areas. Geneva area has so much to offer. The local wineries are "must visit" places! There are also many excellent resturants nearby. Something for everyone's taste!

"A Summer Place" is just that, a beautiful cottage, tastefully decorated throughout, original bead-board walls, shiny original hardwood flooring with oriental rugs, antique furniture painted a bright "cottage white", colorful decor and a comfortable beach house ambience. The house has two indoor sitting and dining areas with lake views, as well as a dining area outdoors with flower garden.

- Minimum Age Limit for Renters: This is a family cottage. We do not rent to underage persons. Although we do not have an aversion to motorcycles, because the cottage is in a family neighborhood, we do not allow motorcycles either with renters or visitors of renters. Parties are strictly prohibited, as well as more than four visitors at one time, and those visitors are not permitted to sleep at the cottage. The cottage maximum of renters is six.

- Locally there are several good restaurants, shopping and antiquing places, as well as restaurants and two wineries within walking distance of the cottage. Also located in Geneva-on-the-Lake, are activities such as water slides, climbing wall, and go-carts. There is also an 18 hole golf course about three blocks from the cottage."THE GRAPES ARE RIPE" OCTOBER: It's picking time and a drive past the vineyards is scented with grapes. You can taste many varieties of wonderful highest quality American wines right in Ohio, including Lakehouse and Firehouse Wineries in Geneva and Laurello, Ferrante, DeBonne', Grand River and others just a few miles away totalling fifteen wineries. And the weather is nice, the crowds have gone home and the lake is beautiful. If the nights are a little chilly, a glass of wine before the fireplace will warm the heart. Try a planned or unplanned tour of the wineries right from Geneva-on-the-Lake.
