You will be delighted with this gorgeous cottage located just 4 houses,( @ 100 steps), from the sparkling waters of the Gulf. Located directly on one of Rosemary's charming pedestrian wooden boardwalks, the Amsler Cottage's porches and patios offer views and relaxation.There is even a wicker front porch swing on which to nap and daydream. The back yard is a walled, private courtyard with a lovely fountain and a large teak dining table which is yours alone to enjoy- No carriage house shares this property so you have complete privacy to grill, dine and enjoy the outdoor spaces.
Amsler Cottage is excellently located in the middle of the town of Rosemary Beach with easy access to all amenities. The Sugar Shak and other Main street stores and restaurants are a one minute walk out your back door. The front of the house faces a boardwalk that leads directly to the beach walkover. We are on the south side or "beach side" of 30-A which means that there are no major streets to cross to reach the Gulf. Rosemary Beach currently has four beautiful pools. The one closest to us is the Barbados Pool and it is about a four minute walk. The beach, the Western Green and the charming shops and restaurants of Rosemary Beach's town center are just steps away from our cottage.
Once inside, you might think you have entered a European villa. Professionally decorated, the furnishings strike a perfect balance between comfort and elegance. Unique lighting fixtures, luxurious fabrics and richly colored furnishings abound with hardwood floors, mahogany French doors and custom finishes throughout.
The first floor is an open area anchored by three sets of mahogany French doors. Watch as beach goers stroll down the boardwalk while dining, watching your 40" flat screen LED/LCD TV or reading in front of the fireplace.( There are 5 flat screen TVs in the house). Movies and tv shows can be streamed at no charge through Netflix. Custom made slipcovers and sea grass rugs create an upscale yet comfortable atmosphere. The fully equipped gourmet kitchen features granite and tumbled marble finishes, Bosch dishwasher, gas stove and custom made cabinetry. Seating for 8 at the square dining table as well as counter top seating provides room for 10. Also on the first floor is a guestroom with a queen bed for those that prefer not to climb stairs. Crisp, white matelasse linens dress the bed and French doors open out onto the porch. The full bath for this bedroom includes an indoor-outdoor shower.
The second floor has 3 bedrooms, all with private baths. No beds/bunks are built into the hallways and all beds are true beds, i.e. no rollaways, sofa beds or futons. All beds are supplied with high quality mattresses and linens. The romantic master suite holds a queen size 4 poster canopy bed with silk roped curtains. French doors lead out onto a porch with Gulf views. The large master bath has double custom made sinks, travertine floors and a shower large enough for two. The custom bunk room has 4 individual twin built in beds and a bath with tub and shower. The fourth guest room has a queen size bed, a charming window seat and bath with tub and shower.
Up a spiral staircase to the third floor is an extra space for those occasional rainy days. Featuring a built in daybed, a flat screen tv, and a DVD/VCR, it is a great space for kids or a private retreat for an afternoon nap. Books, games and children's movies are at your disposal.
Managed by Beach Properties of Florida, guests will experience in-house check in and first class service from housekeeping to restaurant and activity reservations. High grade sheets and towels as well as organic bath and toiletries are provided. Most importantly, should guests need or want anything, a staff member will be on hand to insure our guests are taken care of.

Why the Owner Chose Private Homes
We had rented in Seaside, (too crowded), sandestin,(too cheesy) and sea grove, (not enough to do). We purchased a lot so early that we were able to buy directly on a boardwalk, very close to the gulf and the town center.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Taking naps on the front porch wicker swing, watching the people stroll up and down the boardwalk, looking at the gulf off the second story porch, getting ice cream at the sugar shak. We also employ a concierge service that can provide our guests with anything they might need from bicycles to restaurant reservations to photographers.
Only 4 houses from the beach! We designed this house for our family and friends and it has been a fantastic getaway.

We are a family of four and we live in Atlanta. We purchased this lot in Rosemary Beach in 1998 so that our two boys would have a place to play in the sugar white sand. Said two boys are now in college but still love playing in the sand. We worked with an architect to design a house that would be both beautiful as well as practical. I am an interior designer and the interiors are especially lovely if i don't say so myself!!

We came to experience a songwriters festival but our stay at the Amsler Cottage rivaled the festival for enjoyment. This home is elegant, comfortable, peacefully quiet, yet close to the Rosemary Beach town center. The beach is lovely and uncrowded. Delightful restaurants and interesting shops are both a short walk away or a short drive away. The cottage itself is thoughtfully designed, beautifully appointed and well maintained. The beds we slept in were very comfortable. We can't wait to return.

Peaceful vacation destination. Easy walk to the beach, shops, restaurants, and pools. We have stayed at many different Rosemary Beach homes over the years and find the layout of the Amsler's Cottage to be the most comfortable and most convenient. We have also found it to be the most reasonably priced for the location. The decor is simply elegant and comfortable. Our kids loved the 3rd floor TV/playroom and our parents loved the first floor bedroom and bath, no stairs to climb. The porch swing is a wonderful place to relax and read and the back patio is the perfect place for family dinners and socializing with friends. An outdoor shower is a special bonus when coming in from the beach. With a house full of family we always felt like we had plenty of room to spread out and privacy. Having the concierge service provide bikes, and other amenities were very helpful.

Everywhere you eye looks there is beauty at the Amsler Cottage. This serene, soothing and sophisticated home was designed for comfort with every possible amenity. The home is gracious and so artfully composed that everyone in your family will find a cozy place to read, rest and restore, without feeling on top of each other. Proximity to the beach and the best of Rosemary Beach makes this an incredible vacation experience.

My family and I have stayed in the Amsler Cottage several times over the years and our experience gets better with every visit! The owners seem to add something special every time we go, like new furniture, nice tableware, and flat screen TVs! The house is decorated beautifully and great for families with young children or teenagers. We especially enjoyed dinners outside in the private patio, sitting around the pretty teak table. The location is ideal- just a very short walk to the beautiful beach, or the pools, or to the center of town, with its cute shops and restaurants. Every evening we would walk to the beach to see the unbelievable sunsets, and then return later to stare at the stars. Wonderful vacation no matter what time of the year... can't wait to go back!
