With the beach as your playground and within walking distance to the Okaloosa fishing pier and great restaurants, you will love staying at Sea Oats! Sea Oats is located on Okaloosa Island in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida along the Emerald Coast of the Florida Panhandle.
The pool is located just outside of your patio with a view of the Gulf of Mexico peeking over the edge of the pool railing. If you are a tennis player remember to bring your racket, there is a court here. For an all day beach day, beach service is available for a fee in season at Sea Oats. Our unit is fully furnished with 3 TVs, 2 VCRs, 2 DVD Players & a stereo. The kitchen is fully equipped so you may prepare all of your meals in the condo if you wish.

Old Bay Steamer is just across the street from Sea Oats, They specialize in steamed seafood by the bucket full. The food is wonderful here; we always make a point to eat here during our visits to the area. Pasta & steaks are also offered.
The original Fudpuckers Bar & Grill is just across street from Sea Oats too. Established on Okaloosa Island in 1986 it is a favorite for visitors & locals alike. It's a great place to meet friends & family. The younger ones will enjoy the playground & everyone will enjoy the live music.
For pizza, go to Helen Back. Dine on the back patio & enjoy the view of the Sound.
Los Panchos Mexican Food is located on Amberjack Drive. They offer authentic Tex Mex food that is available for take out. Walk here too!
Pandora’s Steakhouse is across Miracle Strip Parkway & offers steak, seafood & prime rib. They also have a Wine Spectator award winning wine list too. Italian Food can be found at Pranzo next door to Pandora's.

Head over to Sun Dog parasailing on the island & get ready for a truly exhilarating ride. If you haven't tried parasailing before you should!
If you need to do some shopping during your stay Santa Rosa Mall is just a few miles away in Mary Esther. Find stores like The Gap, American Eagle, Bath & Body Works and many more. At the center of the mall is a carousel that the kids will love. You will find Fast track go carts behind the mall. It has an indoor track so it is nice to escape the weather if you need to. A movie theater is located here also.
The Okaloosa Island Fishing Pier is within walking distance for a chance to catch dinner. The pier is 1262 feet long with an octagon at the end so everyone has plenty of room to fish. It's possible to catch fish as large as 100 lbs. here, what a great vacation story you would have if you did!! I enjoy the fishing pier for the great sunsets and Dolphin Watching.
The Boardwalk located beside the fishing pier has great restaurants such as the Black Pearl, Crab Trap & Floyd's. For nightlife in the area you will find The Swamp & Howl at the Moon. The Boardwalk has several sand volleyball courts along the beach. There is also a playground here behind the Crab Trap.
While you are in Ft. Walton Beach, Visit Destin... It's just over the bridge. Things to do ….
The Track Amusement Center offers mini golf (great for night time), Water Bumper Boats, go-carts & for those not faint of heart, Bungee Jumping.
Big Kahuna’s Water Park is a favorite for young & old a like. Take a break from the beach & spend the day here enjoying all of the lazy rivers, fun fountains & their newest attraction, the Honolulu half pipe which offers the best of surfing, body boarding & surf boarding
Visit the Silver Sands Outlet Mall. A vacation in its own right for shoppers you will have access to over 100 stores. For lunch, try Cheeseburger in Paradise, they have a great chicken salad with Plantains. For a wrap up of your day go to Carrabba's Italian Grill for dinner.
The Destin Commons outdoor mall has stores such as Abercrombie & Fitch, Ann Taylor Loft, Banana Republic, Belk, Books-A-Million & Maui Nix Surf Shop to name a few. Get a bite to eat at the Hard Rock Café, Tony’s Ristorante or Sushi Siam. More than just shopping the Destin Commons has a Center Plaza with a soft-play kid’s playground and a 49-head pop fountain. Community activities and entertainment are held at this location too. Rave Motion Pictures is also housed at Destin Commons to catch the latest releases.
Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin Golf & Beach Resorts offers wonderful dining and specialty stores as well as great festivals & events that are held at the Market Shops Green or the Center Plaza within the Village. |
