Please consider our beautiful, spacious ocean-view Maui Kamaole condo for your next trip to Maui. We fell in love with Maui the first time we went and have been going back ever since. It is truly a paradise. We are located on the sunny side of the island which gets very little rain. Our air-conditioned condo is right across from the Kamaole III Beach Park & within walking distance of many shops and restaurants of Kihei and Wailea. Two sparkling pools and spas are available for your pleasure. Maui Kamaole is on the south end of Kihei, right next to Wailea. Hi-rise buildings are not allowed on this side of the island.
Our large, one bedroom condo has two bath rooms, a private lanai plus with ocean-view & a private sunning area off the bedroom. There is a brand new king sized bed in the bedroom & a brand new queen sized sofa bed in the living room. Fold-out cushion-style "futons" are also available. The kitchen is fully equipped including a microwave, garbage disposal, range, oven, dishwasher, blender, refrigerator and freezer plus all the dishes & utensils you will need. Bar-B-Q facilities are available at both pools & outside the condo. For your convenience and enjoyment our unit has a washer and dryer, color/cable TV, free high speed & wireless Internet, VCR, tape player, CD player, and phone with answering machine. Beach umbrellas, beach towels, beach chairs, coolers & boogie boards are all available for guest use, so pack light--this condo has everything you need!
Gorgeous, ocean-front golf courses are located nearby. Maui Kamaole has its own tennis courts on-site for your use and there are also public courts in Kihei. You can snorkel & dive in reefs & lava flows all along the coast in front of the condo. Learn to surf at the Cove right in Kihei or drive to Paia or Hana to experience the North Shore. Hike through thick bamboo forests with cascading waterfalls into fresh-water pools or take in the moonscape at Haleakala Crater. Walk the ocean-front path that begins at the boat ramp in front of the condos & enjoy seasonal (winter/early spring) whale watching right from shore. Or simply relax at the condo and enjoy your own slice of Paradise.
The beautiful Wailea Resorts & Shopping Village are nearby. Kihei has supermarkets and convenience stores that accept credit cards. There is a Costco store, a new Wal-Mart and a K-Mart very near the airport. You will find lots of good restaurants near the condo and all over the island. The resort hotels offer several gourmet restaurants. Or barbecue at the pool or condo & enjoy peaceful meals on the condo lanai.

Owner Description
Our family fell in love with Maui the first time we visited the island in the 80's. We've been coming back ever since. Over the years, we bought 6 condos & have gradually sold all but our favorite one, Maui Kamaole I-117. We visit a few times a year & rent the condo out the rest of the time. My parents enjoy walking on the beach and relaxing & reading at both pools & on the lanai, where they can look out to the ocean & enjoy the beautiful sunsets. My siblings, nieces, nephews & I enjoy snorkeling & diving all along the coast from the condo to LaParuz, surfing at the Cove in Kihei (and other surf spots around the island), boogie boarding & body surfing at Kamaole III beach, hiking throughout the island, sightseeing & shopping in Kihei, Wailea & Paia and exploring the island. As a family, we are scattered from coast to coast on the mainland, but we all look forward to wonderful family reunions in the Paradise that is Maui. Sam Sandmire
Why the Owner Chose Maui Kamaole
We wanted to be on the sunny side of the island, away from the high-rise hotels & rainy weather in Kanaapali. We like the beaches in Kihei & Wailea. We enjoy being close to restaurants & shops without being in a bigger city. We enjoy the snorkeling, surfing & whale watching right in Kihei & Wailea. We love the new, tropical pool, sand-bottom jacuzzi & the on-site tennis courts. And we love being in a quiet, ground floor condo with a lawn & beautiful view of the ocean & West Maui Mountains.
We have looked at & stayed in other condos, and ours is truly the nicest & most spacious we have seen in Kihei. The grounds at Maui Kamaole are lush, tropical & immaculate. We love the morning calm. Just as the day begins to heat up in the afternoon, tropical breezes begin blowing to cool us off. The south end of Kihei is peaceful and quiet, yet within walking distance of shops & restaurants. We really feel like this is paradise.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
The best part of our condo is the view, the spaciousness & the location. We love waking up to a beautiful ocean view & taking walks along the beaches. We often see whales right from shore in the winter & early spring. While we're drinking coffee & eating papayas on the lanai, the birds come begging for bread crumbs. Mornings are great for beaching it so we spend many hours snorkeling, boogie boarding, whale watching, body surfing, surfing & diving right in front of Maui Kamaole & all along the coast. Afternoons are for adventures--hiking to waterfalls, exploring the Haleakala crater, sea kayaking, tennis or golf. Shopping at the island-style boutiques & open markets is fun, too! Then it's happy hour & barbecuing at the pool, bidding farewell to the sun with a blow of the conch shell as it sinks into the ocean (watch for the green flash), enjoying delicious island food in the condo & settling in for an early slumber so we can do it all over again the next day.

We had a blast in Kehei! This great condo and it's location allowed us to hang out at many beaches. We snorkeled, body surfed and swam, all within minutes from the Maui Kamaole condo. The condo was quite spacious and comfortable for our family of four. We enjoyed fantastic views of the West Maui Mountains and wonderful ocean sunsets from the lanai, where we dined on fresh fish and pineapple. The condo kitchen had all we needed to create fine meals. Nearby Foodland Market had plenty of local produce and fish. Great farmers' markets were also within reach. We had plenty of choices for dining out too. Check out Kihei Caffe for breakfast or Bubba's, our favorite lunch cart (near Makena beach). We loved to jump into the condo pool/ hot tub at the end of each day at the beach. It was just a hop, skip and jump from the condo door. We also took day trips to the very cool Maui Ocean Center and to Hana where there are really great beaches too! Without a doubt, if you want to surf, snorkel and swim at some of the prettiest beaches on Maui, this is the place for you!

As former owners at Maui Kamaole, my wife and I are very familiar with the property. This unit was wonderful, which speaks for why it's so popular as a vacation rental. The owners were great to work with and very responsive to our needs. The location of the unit was perfect for us...quiet with a nice ocean view from the lanai. The condo was well appointed and had everything we needed for a wonderful two week stay. We will be back!

We just returned from a week in Maui, staying at the Maui Kamaole. The pictures and description of this condo are exactly what you will get - clean, quiet, very well maintained, stunningly beautiful ocean view and a short walk to great beaches. The grounds are meticulous, and even though it is a large complex each unit is very private - we hardly saw/heard other people. The condo is well stocked with everything you will need for a great vacation. Shops and restaurants are within walking distance but you will probably want to rent a car to explore the island and get groceries. Owners were very pleasant to deal with as were the onsite staff. Our favourite activities were long walks on the beach and watching the incredible sunsets every night. Also, much better weather than Waikiki. Jerry and Kelly, Vancouver, BC

The Condo suited our needs perfectly--located across the street from Kamaole III Beach and just a short walking (or driving) distance from several restaurants and shops. The sunset view out of the back sliding door/porch area was unbeatable and we found it easy and delightful to stroll down to the beach from the condo for the amazing sunsets and whale-watching. The condo was very clean and everything was easy to find (extra blankets, cooking utensils, etc.). The coolers, boogie boards, snorkeling gear, beach towels, and beach chairs provided for guest-use were perfect as we didn't have to pay extra to rent them. There was plenty of room in the kitchen to cook and plenty of cookware to use which was great for eating in. All of the appliances worked perfectly. We rarely needed to use the A/C as we were gone much of the day and just left the sliding door open with the screen shut during the cool evenings and enjoyed the nice ocean breeze. When the A/C was needed, it cooled down the condo very quickly. The in-room journal/review book was enjoyable to read with lots of fun stories and suggestions on places to eat, tour guides/companies to use and beaches to visit. We loved the snorkeling and warm waters at all of the Kamaole beaches but also found Wailea to be beautiful (although a bit crowded). We would definitely recommend this condo to anyone looking for a quieter area wherein to enjoy Maui. Furthermore, we would highly recommend visiting the area during January and February as the whale sightings are very abundant--we had our binoculars, but didn't even need them most days as the whales were so easy to view from the beach! Thanks for perfect winter vacation away from the cold and snow! We'll definitely be returning!
