  Heathergate is our favorite place to stay. The new bathroom remodel was great. And I have been waiting for that new coffee pot. My mother is elderly and having most of the bedrooms on the main floor is perfect for us. Perfect ocean view and close to the casino. I can't wait for our next trip.

The bathroom rennovation has the same beautiful woodwork that you see throughout the house...Thanks for your comments. I got to clip ivy away from the sides of the beach stairs last week. Fun to take a break and hunt for agates....my favorite new pastime at Heathergate. Thanks for staying.

  My husband reviewed and searched vacation rentals in the Lincoln City area for a month before we reserved this one. He found Heather Gate and was very impressed. We booked the property to have a family celebration of sorts for my parents and aunt and uncle. My folks celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary, my aunt and uncle's 50th and my husband and I will be married 40 years this year. It was an excuse really to be together and unwind and rejuvenate near the ocean. The house was everything as advertised, well kept, spacious with wonderful windows the entire front of the home with a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean. IT would be very hard to find anything else as clean, comfortable and welcoming with all the amenities needed to prepare and serve meals in the dining room. Clean up was easy ~ cupboards and drawers contained all the necessary items one might need. I think it would be helpful to note for future stays that there is a bathroom in the hall between two bedrooms and the staircase to the upper level on one side of the horseshoe shaped home. There is another bathroom, laundry room and master bedroom on the opposite side of the home in the rear of the kitchen area. It was ideal for our family with limited mobility. I'd like to thank the property managers for such accurate information that made entering and leaving very easy. This truly had a feeling of being in your own home and made entertaining and enjoying our stay very easy. We had dinner out in Depot Bay at "Tidal Rave" which has a fabulous menu which is executed by an expert chef. The view of the bay makes a very enjoyable dining experience. We also enjoyed "Dory's Cove" in Lincoln City and had their famous clam chowder. Yummy! It's always hard to leave an enjoyable vacation spot but we can look forward to doing it again.

That Hall bathroom had a beautiful rennovation last week with huge Pedestal Sink , new floor and granite surround. I'll make note on the website concerning the "floor plan layout". It's unique and works great for families and anyone who battles stairs. The easy beach access from the yard also makes it fun for the Beach Combers, Kite Fliers and a Campfire on the Beach.

  This was the best home for our family of 6! Loved having the beach access directly from the home. When we got a sun break my kids could zip down to the beach and zip back up when they got cold a few minutes later:) We loved having the huge windows to watch storms by the cozy fireplace. A-1 Beach Rentals prices were great and very friendly to work with. We have stayed at a few of the homes they offer and are never disappointed. Thank you! Rose Vermeer

  There's a story in the guest book about this house being haunted. No ghosts but me and my kids loved the view and big open floor plan, perfect for families. There was a little loft with Porthole for the kids and king bedroom with big open beamed ceilings throughout. We had a campfire all wknd and suprising good weather. Fun being so close to the sand. Beautiful, clean and comfy. Joan Smith
