What a wonderful Honeymoon

This was beautiful, all redone, close parking (though this isn't too huge for us after the first big grocery shop). nearly on top of the ocean! There is a lovely walkway along the ocean that gos for miles, I ran as much as I could in the mornings. Kapaa is so central, we travelled everywhere, Susan the owner was amazing, the condo was fabulous - included laundry, shampoo/conditioner/body wash and a loofa, condiments (few, we did buy some but not what we would have spent without). BEAUTIFUL kitchen, Lanai and bathroom. Bedroom was simple but comfortable - no complaints. It was our honeymoon and it couldn't have been better, we wouldn't change a thing! Well, except the funky lock, but Susan was getting to it and we were able to play with it to make it comply :o) The complex was clean, great setting, nice place for a hot tub in the evening, not 5 star but beautiful all the same. Weber bbqs to use. Books, Kauai revealed was incredible, we did Ono restaurant for breaky ~ not super greasy, loved it!! we went to Tunnels beach (north island), anini beach, Poipu beach, Waimea Canyon, Wailea Falls, secret beach and secret lava pool. Kelly and Joel Room Tip: do this one!! Even if you have to alter your special dates, you will be pleasantly surprised, please dont do it if you are ultra picky i would hate recommend someone like that, who would find the fault in everything!

Thank you so much Susan for letting us stay in your condo. We loved the location, and it was so wonderful to sleep with the door open and listen to the ocean! We can't say enough nice things about your condo, and the new tile flor looks WONDERFUL! ;-) we didn't cook, due to the fact we ate out almost every meal at all the places you reccomended!!! thank you again and we look forward to our next visit there!...

Susan was right. It took our breath away when we opened the door and saw the ocean. We knew we chose the right place for our first visit to Kauai. The layout was well thought out, comfortable and extremely clean I wanted to take my shoes off without being reminded. What else can I say? We've stayed all over the world and this place truly is in the top 3. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Our stay was so comfortable I didn't want to leave. If you're staying on Kauai, this is the best deal.

This condo is everything you could want or need! We just got back from our honeymoon and it was fantastic. Great location and it was awesome to wake up to sunrises over the ocean from the lanai! We made a few meals in the loaded kitchen and it really felt like a home away from home. Definitely would recommend to anybody--can't beat this deal!

We were very pleased with the condo for our first trip to Kauai. I've rented many condos through VRBO and this is the best yet. It was fully equipped with all the necessities, and many extras too! Especially the kitchen. Susan was great to work with, giving us personal attention throughout the booking process. Thanks so much! The view was just amazing each and every morning.

My husband and I were back on the island after almost 5 years and spent 10 nights in the condo (sans our toddler)! Susan has thought of everything! The kitchen is well equipped, plenty of towels in the bathroom, there is a cooler, beach chairs and beach towels, she even has an A/V cord for iPod hook up to the stereo. The condo is well-maintained, clean and in a central location on the island. We enjoyed sitting on the comfy lanai furniture to take in the awesome oceanfront view and sound of the waves. We can't recommend this condo enough and we will not hesitate to stay again. It was like a second honeymoon!

My husband and I spent 13 wonderful days at this Pono Kai condo. The view from the lanai was spectacular, the sound of the waves relaxing, and the added entertainment of chickens wandering the resort a delight. We found the condo to be extremely clean and well-maintained and included many amenities well beyond our expectations. I loved the well designed and equipped kitchen. Also,we especially liked the close proximity to stores and the walkway where we walked for miles along the picturesque oceanside. There is no doubt that we want to go back to this wonderful place and recommend it highly. Thank you Susan for being such a wonderful hostess.

We really enjoyed our stay in the condo at Pono Kai. Susan has placed so many extras (books, movies, cooking spices, 2 TV's, beach towels and chairs, etc.) in the condo that made our visit very special. The location was great. We really enjoyed the paved walking path in front of the condo that goes for several miles. We definitely plan on staying there again when we get the chance to return to Kauai.

What a wonderful condo!!! My husband and I just loved the location and the views were amazing. We have rented many condos in Mytrle Beach, Maui, Kona (Big Island) , Honolulu and Florida, I can truly say this is the best and the cleanest places we have stayed. We hope to get back soon and stay again a this comfortable condo (home). We found Scotty's Barbeque, which you can get to by driving, turn right out of resort or walking on the bike/walking path, the food was wonderful. The cost a little high put well with price. and it has an ocean front view, Susan is great to work with! Our GPS system seemed to be a little off and we had a problem finding the resort. We called Susan and she direct us! She laughed and so did we, oh well for GPS. Really , there isn't a problem finding the resort, we just decided to use our GPS, that must have had jet lag! A particularly great location. From the balcony of this condo you feel like you are on a cruise boat--the ocean and beach activity are right below you. A wonderful trade wind breeze passes through and keeps the inside temp equal to the outside. Everything in this completely furnished unit worked and it was very clean. We hope to get back.

This was an excellent condo to stay in while we were in Kauai. It was centrally located so that it did not take long to explore the entire island. The ocean view was incredible and the sound of the waves was very relaxing. The condo was updated and very clean. Everything that we could need was provided for us such as: shampoo, soap, laundry detergent, beach towels, cooking items, etc. The owner was very helpful and available to answer any questions that we had before and then after arriving on the island. She helped make this an incredible anniversary trip for us and we would highly recommend it to anyone!

This condo is without a doubt one of the best I have ever stayed in. The owner goes way out of her way to make you feel at home and comfortable. There are ammenities galore in the unit and property!!! A lot of attention has been paid to all kinds of details and comforts for the person(s) staying in the unit. The ONLY downside I can think of is that we ran out of time in Kapa'a / Kauai and the condo at Pono Kai. I would definately come back and recommend the unit to others. Shopping, restaurants, etc. are near by.

Thank you Susan for sharing your beautiful condo with us. The location was very central, outstanding view from the balcony, and great to be on the oceanside right by the walking/bike path. We appreciate all the little extras that you have in your condo to make your guests totally feel at home. Kauai is now our favorate island as it is much more laid back and very friendly. We enjoyed the local restaurants and shopping within walking distance and our great little day adventures....helicopter ride (amazing), snorkelling, biking, hiking and exploring. We were delighted with this 3rd story, ocean front condo. The views are spectactular, but equally important, Susan thinks of every detail to make the stay comfortable and easy. The condo itself is immaculate and modern. The kitchen is ready for cooking up your own meals. We were able to see whales from the lanai and take long walks on the trail right outside the back door. The central location made it easy to get to both ends of the island. We would return to this condo and highly recommend it to others!

I had very specific requirements when looking for a condo. It had to have a great ocean view for my disabled husband to enjoy, it had to be near Kapaa where our daughter's wedding was to be held and it had to be light and airy. I have been coming to Hawaii regularly for the past 10 years as my daughter came to UH for graduate studies. I have stayed in many condos, homes, and hotels. I have never found one of those that compares to this condo with regard to location, view, amenities, and hospitable host. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, our daughter's wedding, and are already checking our calendar for a return visit. Mahalo Susan, for everything!

We highly recommend this fabulous condo that had all of the amenities we would want and more. The sound of the ocean and the breathtaking views will remain etched in our memories forever. Beyond the beyond our stay in Susan's condo. Location on the island and having the ocean so few ft. away, the sounds singing as I did my morning Yoga, there is nothing finer for a holiday. stephen being a general contractor added this comment. This is the first place he has stayed that didn't require a project to be repaired. In each of our conversations we wax poetic about this condo and all it has to offer. We are a little delinquent at writing this review, but we wanted to let everyone know what a great first experience this was for us. Susan was great to deal with...very efficient and helpful! We were here for our anniversary and had a fantastic time. Being particularly picky about places, her place was modern, very clean and provided anything that you could imagine. Her condo was in a great location to get to all parts of the island easily. We were spoiled that this condo was right on the water. We were able to come "home" to relax...watch the ocean and the people on the path below. A nice bonus to have a washer/dryer in the unit. We know who to contact next time we're in the area. We had a wonderful time at this condo! The view is amazing and the sound of the ocean created a peaceful environment. Our stay in this condo was absolutely wonderful...it was immaculate and the owner has furnished everything you would need on your stay - from the kitchen necessities down to the beachtowels/cooler. Carefully detailed. We watched whales and the sunrise from the lanai. The bike/walking path is right in front of the condo. Pono Kai resort is well maintained and situated in the middle of the Eastern side of Kauai, which allows easy access to all adventures. My wife and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay on our first visit to Kauai. The central location in Kapaa made it easy to get to any part of the island. The condo was on the beach so we had great views of the whales spouting in the distance right from the lanai. The condo was fully stocked with just about everything you could possibly need and more. Everything was top notch quality. We made many of our meals in the newly remodeled kitchen. The washer/dryer was great to have. We spent a week in Waikiki when we left and just wish those condo owners had paid as close attention to the details. The place was great. We would recommend it to anyone. We will definitely check availability when we finally save enough to go back to Kauai.

This was a perfect vacation for us. The location in Kapaa was perfect, centrally located on the island for our many day trips and also for those days just lying around. The Pono Kai resort is located within easy walking distance to many restaurants and supermarkets. We made use of the onsite barbecues, having quite a few dinners in the condo with the Pacific Ocean as our backdrop. This waterfront condo had everything needed to make us feel at home and then some. The sights and sounds from the lanai were mesmerizing, whether sipping our morning coffee or having an evening cocktail, this was our favorite location. We will highly recommend this condo to our friends and relatives. As an aside, we left Kauai and spent a couple of days in Honolulu before flying home. After one night in Honolulu we wanted to fly back to the Pono Kai, suite A306.

This place was great! It wasn't in the faciest complex or part of Kauai, but it was centrally located to everything! The complex is well kept and has a nice pool area. It has a beautiful view of the ocean from the lanai. The condo is newly remodeled with all new towels, sheets, kitchen stuff...the works! I'd definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for a condo in Kapaa.

Mahalo …The Condo is incredible and made my first visit to Kauai amazing. Being newly renovated everything needed was included and top quality right down to the linens! What the resort didn’t offer was literally a walk away since the Condo is close to EVERYTHING. My favorite was chilling on the on the lanai with the ocean 50 feet away! Being on the top floor, close to the elevator offered privacy and with a washer & dryer in unit you can pack light, so I will definitely be back and I have told my friends and family about this little spot of paradise.

This condo was wonderful! The attention to detail in the renovations and the amenities provided made us feel very comfortable. No threadbare towels and ill-fitting sheets here. The kitchen was very well equipped with many high end touches. The washer and dryer were an added bonus when dealing with wet beach towels and bathing suits. It was obvious to us that the owner went the extra mile to ensure that guests would feel right at home. We loved sitting on the lanai watching the sun rise and seeing whales play in the distance while relaxing before dinner. The resort grounds were well maintained and provided all of the extras we wanted. Being just steps from the beach and centrally located on the east side of Kauai were the icing on the cake. We have definite plans to return to Kauai next winter and will certainly rent this unit.
