We are one of the best located homes you will find in North Lake Tahoe,Carnelian Bay. Located between Kings Beach and Tahoe City on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe. Easy access from either Highway 267 or 89. Our beautiful upscale yet pet friendly home is a newer construction (1999). The house is spacious, bright and cozy with filtered views of the lake from the master bedroom and second bedroom located upstairs. Newly interior painted and decorated,wireless internet access, and a new outdoor hot tub under our retractable Gazebo for your enjoyment.
For all you NFL football fans, we have the NFL Sunday Ticket with DirectTV just for your added pleasure during football season!! Our 4 bedroom, non-smoking, two and a half bath backs up to The Tahoe National Forest with hiking and snowshoeing and cross country trails right out the back door. Just a short walk across from the house at the lake is one of Tahoe's best known restaurant "Gar Woods", and also beautiful Patton Beach, with open panoramic views of Lake Tahoe. This beach allows dogs!. Beach has public pier and restrooms. The Magic Carpet Miniature Golf Course(not open in winter months), is just around the bend for everyone to enjoy, especially fun for your kids! CB's Pizza Restaurant,and 7-Eleven is kitty corner to our house.The Old Post Office Cafe, which is very popular for breakfast and lunches is just a short 5 minutes walk from the home just beyond the Magic Carpet Miniature Golf Course.
Our house has a good size living room, hard wood floors, with cozy gas fireplace that warms the entire house, and a 42" flat screen T.V with upgraded movie channels, home theater system and the NFL Sunday Ticket with Direct TV for our football fans. The kitchen has all the modern appliances needed for your culinary needs, and our gas grill is just outside the back patio for your BBQ needs.

We love this property and location for its incredible beauty and winter and summer fun. The house is gorgeous and airy and bright. The area offers a wide variety of activities (Skiing, hiking, swimming, boating) just to name a few. Its a place to relax, and spend time away from the fast moving world. We love our home, which is right across from the lake. The Mountains are stunning, the location is perfect.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Wild life is in abundance in our back yard facing The Tahoe National Forrest. We have easy access to all activities from ski resorts, casinos, river rafting, mini golf, golf, boating, hiking trails, biking and more.
Our property has a wonderful hot tub facing the forest to soak all the aches away! We are across the street from the lake ( the only dog friendly beach access in N.Lake Tahoe " Patton and Carnelian Bay Beach),and Garwood's Restaurant and Pier, CB's Pizza,7-Eleven store, mini golf, are a half a minute walk away.

We love the out doors. Lake Tahoe is one of our favorite places to be in for sheer relaxation and fun and it's majestic beauty.
Our family enjoys the wonderful ski resorts, and the summer at the lake, the fresh mountains air and pines. We have 3 dogs that love the wildlife behind our house and many walking trails. We are happy that we can share this home with others to enjoy what Lake Tahoe has to offer and the surrounding areas here in California.

What a lovely home. the owners of the property encouraged us to enjoy all the amenities. The Hot tub, Air Hockey, games. What a beautiful setting. My Grandkids enjoyed Sledding right out the back door. The Home is beautifully furnished. We took our three kids, spouses and their families there was plenty of room for all. Carnelian Bay is a quiet area with a lovely Bay. When we arived there was no snow on the ground. That night it started snowing and snowed off and on for the nexst three days. The kids all had so much fun. Also the dining table can easily sit 10 people so that we were able to all sit down together for meals. I would definately recommend this Lodge. We hope to be able go return some time.

We cannot wait to return to Blue Jay Lodge. This will be our 4th stay and this is the only place we want to stay when we come to Tahoe. Blue Jay is the warmest most inviting home you could stay. It's like a retreat and it is perfect for the two of us. When our kids and grand kids visit, it's ideal. I recommend Blue Jay for anyone who wants the best of Tahoe!!

The Bluejay House was perfect for our stay! We loved the outdoor scenery as soon as we step out the back door. The kids were completely entertained by all the games in the house/garage, the little time that we were actually at the house. Family had an awesome time at the miniature golf which we all walked to. There was so much to do just a short way from the house. Beds were so comfortable and plenty of sleeping space for everyone! There were plenty of beach chairs and towels for our beach day. Every morning my son and I walked over to the lake for a walk, now back home that's what I miss the most! This was by far the most relaxing vacation I've ever taken! Thank you so much for allowing us to stay.

My family had a wonderful weekend at the Blue Jay Lodge! This place has everything you need in a vacation house. Walking distance to the lake, dog park, restaurants, etc. We had two babies, 7 and 8 months old, a dog and 9 adults and there was plenty of room. The hot tub was loved by my kids and the cover was so cool. There are plenty of dishes, silverware, pots and pans, glassware, and other kitchen supplies. I hope we can come back sometime, maybe next summer! P.S. The owners are very easy to work with.

This is a wonderful cozy cabin I have been in twice and I hope that I will visit again soon. The family is great to rent from very friendly and helpful. I would strongly suggest this cabin, great in both the summer and winter!

Blue Jay Lodge is so beautiful....warm and comfortable..... we spent the last week there and it was perfect..We are going to recommend this home to our friends in Hawaii...I am looking to reserve in July and the same time next year...we really love this place!!! thanks you guys... We just returned from a 3 family vacation to ring in 2011 in the lovely Blue Jay Lodge. What a great home! We had plenty of space for both kids and adults to relax and enjoy good company in a beautiful setting. We shared great meals cooked in the very efficiently outfitted kitchen. We slept in the most comfortable beds we have ever experienced in a rental. The owners were incredibly helpful and made sure that we had all of the advance info we needed to insure a completely comfortable stay. The home is centrally located to take advantage of multiple ski resorts with plenty of snow this year. We will definitely recommend this house to our friends. Thanks Blue Jay Lodge!

We rented this home for a weekend in September with a group of friends. It was perfect! Great location, accurately described and well stocked. We enjoyed every aspect of the home and highly recommend it to anyone considering a renting a home in North Lake Tahoe. The home owners were easily accessible when we had questions about tv functions and check out procedure. This home is directly across the street from Garwood and close enough to Tahoe City for a quick trip.

I had a number of friends come in from out of town for a ski weekend and this house was perfect. The house was well equiped with pleanty of beds and all the ammendities (spa, flat screen, pool table, etc). Additionally, the location is ideal for both skiing and close to a number of different restaurants etc. I would definetly rent this place again for future vacations.
