What a lovely home. the owners of the property encouraged us to enjoy all the amenities. The Hot tub, Air Hockey, games. What a beautiful setting. My Grandkids enjoyed Sledding right out the back door. The Home is beautifully furnished. We took our three kids, spouses and their families there was plenty of room for all. Carnelian Bay is a quiet area with a lovely Bay. When we arived there was no snow on the ground. That night it started snowing and snowed off and on for the nexst three days. The kids all had so much fun. Also the dining table can easily sit 10 people so that we were able to all sit down together for meals. I would definately recommend this Lodge. We hope to be able go return some time.

The Bluejay House was perfect for our stay! We loved the outdoor scenery as soon as we step out the back door. The kids were completely entertained by all the games in the house/garage, the little time that we were actually at the house. Family had an awesome time at the miniature golf which we all walked to. There was so much to do just a short way from the house. Beds were so comfortable and plenty of sleeping space for everyone! There were plenty of beach chairs and towels for our beach day. Every morning my son and I walked over to the lake for a walk, now back home that's what I miss the most! This was by far the most relaxing vacation I've ever taken! Thank you so much for allowing us to stay.

My family had a wonderful weekend at the Blue Jay Lodge! This place has everything you need in a vacation house. Walking distance to the lake, dog park, restaurants, etc. We had two babies, 7 and 8 months old, a dog and 9 adults and there was plenty of room. The hot tub was loved by my kids and the cover was so cool. There are plenty of dishes, silverware, pots and pans, glassware, and other kitchen supplies. I hope we can come back sometime, maybe next summer! P.S. The owners are very easy to work with.

We cannot wait to return to Blue Jay Lodge. This will be our 4th stay and this is the only place we want to stay when we come to Tahoe. Blue Jay is the warmest most inviting home you could stay. It's like a retreat and it is perfect for the two of us. When our kids and grand kids visit, it's ideal. I recommend Blue Jay for anyone who wants the best of Tahoe!!

This is a wonderful cozy cabin I have been in twice and I hope that I will visit again soon. The family is great to rent from very friendly and helpful. I would strongly suggest this cabin, great in both the summer and winter!

Blue Jay Lodge is so beautiful....warm and comfortable..... we spent the last week there and it was perfect..We are going to recommend this home to our friends in Hawaii...I am looking to reserve in July and the same time next year...we really love this place!!! thanks you guys... Blue Jay is everything as described and more...

Magical Winter Home

We just returned from a 3 family vacation to ring in 2011 in the lovely Blue Jay Lodge. What a great home! We had plenty of space for both kids and adults to relax and enjoy good company in a beautiful setting. We shared great meals cooked in the very efficiently outfitted kitchen. We slept in the most comfortable beds we have ever experienced in a rental. The owners were incredibly helpful and made sure that we had all of the advance info we needed to insure a completely comfortable stay. The home is centrally located to take advantage of multiple ski resorts with plenty of snow this year. We will definitely recommend this house to our friends. Thanks Blue Jay Lodge!

We rented this home for a weekend in September with a group of friends. It was perfect! Great location, accurately described and well stocked. We enjoyed every aspect of the home and highly recommend it to anyone considering a renting a home in North Lake Tahoe. The home owners were easily accessible when we had questions about tv functions and check out procedure. This home is directly across the street from Garwood and close enough to Tahoe City for a quick trip.

I had a number of friends come in from out of town for a ski weekend and this house was perfect. The house was well equiped with pleanty of beds and all the ammendities (spa, flat screen, pool table, etc). Additionally, the location is ideal for both skiing and close to a number of different restaurants etc. I would definetly rent this place again for future vacations.

What a pleasure this place was to stay at the hot tub was always hot ,Hiking out the back door,The Old Post office a GREAT place to eat, just accross to the lake. If your into old boats there's a restoration place within a five min. walk. Clean and comfy!!!

This is a lovely family home that has all the comforts to arrive and relax. A great location, plenty of space, all the kitchen supplies needed to make anything you want, and a cozy atmosphere. The hot tub was a big hit, and my dog loved being able to go for multiple swims at the dog friendly beach across the street. We had a great time in Carnelian Bay, thank you.

What a great place. Got to hang with two other families and there was room for everyone. Terrific beach within walking distance, safe for the kids to splash around and the dog to frolic. The house had everything! The kitchen was stocked with tons of pots/pans/spices/appliances to make each and every meal painless, very comfortable beds and lots of space to play. Can't wait to go back again.

Back Again! Over Fathers Day weekend 2009. The Wooden Boat Show was in town. Great! weekend. The Blue Jay Lodge is warm and cozy! The Hot tub wonderful, and the location even better! Had a party of 12. We skiied at Alpine Meadows and the house was great. Comfortable rooms (loved the dinosaur room!), great kitchen, but the hot tub was the best. It's near the woods and it felt pretty magical after a night of skiing. The living room was also well-used. There were games available and enjoyed it. Overall, a really pretty area. Enjoyed our stay. This beautiful home was ideal for a holiday celebration with 12 family members. The location was close to ski resorts(North Star being our favorite), lake access and stores to pick up groceries. The amenities offered included state of the art computer/TV and sound systems, plenty of living space and a fully equipped kitchen. The forest behind the house and street in front provided many hours of fun sledding (equipment provided w/the home). I would highly recommend to anyone wanting a quiet neighborhood and space for entertaining.

Prior to renting this beautiful home, I received generous support by the owner with the details needed for a Christmas holiday with 12 family members. The location was perfect-right across the street from the beach in Carnelian Bay with ready access to groceries etc. This home provided ample living space with all the amenities for snow fun... I would recommend this home to anyone wanting a quiet location with closee access to ski resorts and casinos.

This is a great vacation home with lots of space. We stayed there with our 2 kids, and two other families. It didn't feel cramped at all. It is in a perfect location, with essentials within walking distance (7-11, breakfast place, pizza, Garwoods, etc.). We really enjoyed our stay and would come back. With the hot tub, fully stocked kitchen, and wireless, it's hard to get motivated to enjoy the outdoors!

This place is amazing. The location is perfect and the home is so comfortable it's hard to leave to enjoy the beauty outside. But once you do, there's so much to offer: oh my do my kids love CB's and 7-11 and everyone has to love Garwoods. I haven't tried the hot tub yet, but I will be back for that!

Great Place! Warm, cozy, perfect location! We stayed for Thanksgiving weekend 2008. No snow, we still had a wonderful time. We went for several long walks in the wooded area which is just out the door. After our walks, A long soak in the Hot tub was Great. The beach is just a 3 minute walk. We will be back! The pictures do not tell the whole story, this places is so wonderful, if you are looking to stay in Tahoe we give this place TWO Thumbs up.

Wow!! what a wonderful holiday spot and beautifully appointed home away from home, the comfy chair on back porch was well used relaxing in the tranquil bush, watching the bird life and squirrels, very hard to leave. Tahoe was every thing I had ever read about it and staying in such a cosy enviroment was a real bonus.Thanks from 3 Kiwis. NZ

We loved this house!!! The rooms are airy, spacious and bright, and very well appointed. The kitchen was a joy to cook in, and the kids loved bellying up to the breakfast bar in the mornings. Great location too...the mini-golf course around the corner was a big hit! We'll definitely be back.

WOW! What a great place. There is so much to do within walking distance we didn't use our car for the first three days! The house itself is warm very appealing. The views all around are great including the backyard which is all forest. This vacation rental couldn't have been better. We will be back to ski this winter.

What a great house! The location is fantastic. We didn't use our car for the first three days. There is so much to do that is just a short walk away. Garwoods, mini golf, CBs pizza, and gorgeous dog friendly beaches with amazing views. The wife loved the whole experience as did the kids and the dog. The owners were a joy to work with. We will be back for ski season!

Really a great vacation spot. The property butts up against a national forest. The view is so peaceful that I hardly left the back patio. Wildlife? You bet! Great experience.

This is a great house! Nice bedrooms with enough beds to sleep 7 comfortably (10 if you're close), a great kitchen and comfortable furniture throughout. We BBQed in the back yard, and had a fantastic time!

Good location, walking distance to several restaurants, the lake and miniature golf. Just off the main road with no traffic noise. Sleeps six without sharing a bed. Had everything we needed for the weekend except a blender and juice reamer, hardly ruffling it.

Perfect vacation getaway! This house had all of the amenities and little extras we could have possibly wanted. Quick and easy access to all of the activities around the lake, and conveniently a walk away from the 711. The house was beautiful and spacious and made us feel right at home, we couldn't have asked for a better vacation spot! Thanks again, we'll be back!
